An IRS response to a properly made accurate declaration as to "income" and claim for refund of amounts withheld (the amount identified as 'overpaid' is EVERYTHING withheld from my salary in 2003, including FICA and Medicare; and was the only money belonging to my wife and me on which the feds had their hands):
