"There are two distinct classes of men...those who pay taxes and those who receive and live upon taxes."

C'mon! CtC can't be right! You're crazy!

If CtC were actually right,

it would mean the government's been concealing and denying the truth for years on end,

and everybody knows THAT would never happen...

(Edward Snowden, come home! It was all just a bad dream; there really is No Such Agency!)

Do you know someone truly steeped in the Kool-Aid?

I mean someone who finds it easier to believe that the far-better-educated, far-more-suspicious-of-government Americans of a hundred years ago were complete morons who granted authority to the state to take whatever it wished from themselves and their posterity than to imagine that they themselves simply misunderstand the true nature of the income tax? Even while knowing that their beliefs about the tax are derived entirely from the representations of those who profit from those beliefs (like tax bureaucrats and "tax professionals")?

Do you know someone like that? Shake them awake with the latest (fourteenth) edition of CtC!

You can't understand the present if you don't understand the past...

Illuminating anniversaries of this week:

January 2- In 1788, Georgia becomes the fourth of the several states to ratify the United States Constitution and authorize the new version of the federal government.  In 1793, Russia and Prussia partition Poland, preliminary to Poland's disappearance from the maps of Europe two years later, with all it's territory divided between Russia, Prussia and Austria.  In 1882, John D. Rockefeller combines his oil concerns into the Standard Oil trust.  In 1920, the "Palmer Raids"-- federal assaults on political groups targeted for their opposition to conscription and other abuses of the Wilson administration during World War I-- ratchet up into the capture of thousands of what Wilson had described as "Hyphenated Americans (who) have poured the poison of disloyalty into the very arteries of our national life".  In 1974, Richard Nixon signs a bill setting 55 MPH as the maximum speed limit on U.S. Highways, and coercing state governments to do the same or risk loss of grant money.

Anniversaries of interest for each day of this week will be found throughout the newsletter below.

Friends, My Focus Last Week Was On Family...

So, I wasn't working on newsletter items.

BUT I WANT TO LEAVE A FEW THINGS POSTED in this space that are really important for everyone to thoroughly own, and that some of you may never have read. These are also things that are very important for everyone to share as widely as possible.

If the posts below seem familiar, please scan through anyway to be sure your memory is as good as you think (or to make sure I haven't added to them since you last read them-- I do that, a lot). When you're sure you know them well, please forward the link for each (the "Continued..." link) to everyone else you can.

Please remember that the whole of our problem in America with Leviathan is one of perceptions, not of reality. Our Constitution, and the laws made pursuant and harmonious to that charter by those properly authorized thereby to make them, are liberty-loving and respectful of our individual rights.

The implementation of laws in such a fashion as to seemingly contradict these virtues only happens (and is gotten away with) because too few of us understand our unique American legal structure. Because many mistakenly imagine that the state is authorized to act out of harmony with liberty and individual rights (such as imagining that the government is authorized by some law to impose a tax on the earnings of American men and women by its own will when in reality the income tax is an excise on voluntarily-undertaken federally-connected, and therefore federally-taxable activities).

It really IS just like the Matrix. Americans are prisoners of myths and misunderstandings, lying paralyzed in the grip of delusions and being consumed by the myth-mongers without so much as putting up a fight.

Even the majority of the struggles that seem to go on here and there are themselves illusory, with the resistant copper-top actually fighting in a Matrix-run arena-- shadow-boxing in defense of Matrix-approved positions of dissent, such as arguing over what warrantless searches are "reasonable" when the Fourth Amendment actually says that all unwarranted searches are inherently unreasonable, and prohibited.

SO, AGAIN, read through what follows, and pass these "red pills" along. When enough of our fellows know the truth, the truth shall set us all free.

The Fascinating Truth About The 16th Amendment

The income tax is just an excise; capitations still require apportionment; and you’ve been taken to the cleaners.

Introduction

AS THE FIRST AMERICAN IN HISTORY to secure a complete refund of all federal income taxes withheld-- including Social Security and Medicare taxes-- and the author of several books that have led to many tens of thousands of other American men and women getting all THEIR money back year after year since 2003, I imagine I'm the last person from whom you'd expect to hear praises of the income tax. But that's what you're hearing.

The fact is, the income tax is not only a Constitutional tax, it is also a very desirable tax. Applied in strict adherence to its statutory design, the income tax is benignly-limited in scope. It is also a fit mechanism by which those who make money from the exploitation of public resources return to the common purse a portion of their private profits.

In this short paper, I am going to show you what the income tax really is and on what it really falls. I'm also going to show you how the tax has come to be widely misunderstood and how, since FDR's third term as president, that misunderstanding has been systematically cultivated and exploited by an insatiable state which is increasingly impatient with any level of restraint.

TO PUT IN A NUTSHELL what you are about to learn, the "income" tax is and always has been an excise on gains from certain federally-connected activities in which most Americans do not engage in meaningful (taxable) amounts, if at all. The law says this plainly, if only in places not commonly seen by most people.

Unfortunately, most Americans have been successfully conditioned over the last 75 years to believe the tax applies to all economic activity. Concurrently, most Americans have been induced to report payments of all kinds to government tax agencies using forms such as W-2s and 1099s which are actually prescribed-- again, in places most people don't know to look-- exclusively for the reporting of federally-connected tax-relevant payments.

These reporting-form allegations are taken as true if unrebutted, and it is on that basis that the income tax is ultimately applied, both to those who have engaged in taxable activities and those who have not, but aren't aware of the need to rebut the erroneous reporting-form allegations to the contrary. Because of the way this has all been designed, put in place and maintained, for most folks the "income tax" could be better called the "ignorance tax".

I realize that what I've just described sounds as unlikely as the proposition that everyone's emails and phone calls were being systematically vacuumed-up by the government without warrants would have sounded a few years ago. Please suppress your skepticism for the moment and indulge your curiosity (and don't forget that thousand-plus-high stack of complete refunds, Social security taxes and all, that you looked at a few moments ago, which you also would have found very unlikely indeed).

Just read what follows. You'll end up recognizing the truth.

Why It Matters

From Part III of CtC

THERE IS NOT AND NEVER HAS BEEN a federal tax on private receipts (or the activities that produce them), and in fact, as recently as the early 1940’s, no truly serious attempt to pretend that such a tax existed had ever been made. Nonetheless, such a tax seems to be an integral part of our lives now-- indeed, so ubiquitous as to seem a part of the natural order. This is not because it is or has become legal, inevitable or fit. It is merely because the interest served by the pretense is rapacious and amoral, its beneficiary-- and therefore defensive-- cadre is large and well-positioned, and its victims are immersed in disinformation.

In fact, the “tax’s” ubiquity is carefully generated and maintained, for, being illegal and a fraud, its success relies upon a thicket of lies so necessarily comprehensive as to have become background noise in most people’s lives. It has been famously observed that a tangled weave is needed to implement a deceit. A racket by which 250 million people are conned every day for nearly the whole of their lives out of an enormous portion of their wealth production requires and inspires a web of such magnitude and pervasiveness as to strongly endanger, if not choke off completely, the very objective cognition needed to perceive its existence.

Indeed, this scheme has ensconced itself so thoroughly in the world-view of many people that they themselves contribute to its density. Partaking of the character of all big, institutionally promoted lies, the private-receipts tax scheme induces in many of its victims a “Stockholm Syndrome” in which those unable to escape an assailant come to terms with their plight through a delusional sublimation of their own interests to those of their victimizer. Such victims construct “facts” as needed to suit the requirements of the delusion, and abandon contrary knowledge. These “facts” add to the numbing and confusing din to which every other target of the scheme is subjected, and promote a lemming-like embrace of what seems to be the general understanding of the truth, or at least the wisest path to follow. This might be described as the practice of irrational ignorance.

There's only one way political swamps ever get drained, and our far-seeing Founders carefully gave the American people the means to do it:

The Founders' Defense Against Sociopaths In Office

"In order to get power and retain it, it is necessary to love power; but love of power is not connected with goodness but with qualities that are the opposite of goodness, such as pride, cunning and cruelty."

-Leo Tolstoy

IT IS WELL ESTABLISHED that there are an inordinate number of sociopaths in public office as compared to the general population. As observed by Martha Stout, clinical psychologist and author of The Sociopath Next Door,

"[P]oliticians are more likely than people in the general population to be sociopaths. I think you would find no expert in the field of sociopathy/psychopathy/antisocial personality disorder who would dispute this..."

These sociopaths are people of the "power sickness", characterized by narcissism, self-importance, a willingness to manipulate others and the charm to do it effectively, and a perpetual habit of deflecting blame when their self-interested actions cause harm to others, all stemming from a basic lack of conscience. See here, here, here and here.

This overrepresentation of sociopaths in the "political class" is no surprise. After all, public office offers all the things gratifying to such people. Office-holders get lots of attention from others, much of it fawning; they get easy money and lots of it; they get the opportunity to rule over other people; and they face a standard of success that relies more on a skill at bullsh*tting than on the hard work needed to actually gratify the needs and desires of strangers, such as is required in any other occupation.

Further, the skills needed to achieve public office-- being willing and able to convincingly paint a rosier, more desirable picture than any honest opponent would have the moral turpitude to offer; charisma; and an obsession with self-aggrandizement-- are all the natural traits of the sociopath. Healthy men and women are hard-pressed to compete against these political "naturals" in any but the most extraordinary circumstances.

Given this remarkably-aligned package of requirements and rewards, it's no surprise that sociopaths gravitate toward public office and achieve it in numbers disproportionate to their representation within the general population of healthy men and women. The top prizes go to the very worst of them, and the losers satisfy themselves by joining the swarm of petty functionaries with clipboards that fills government buildings coast-to-coast.

What Life Is Like When The Truth Revealed In CtC Is Widely Understood

Your great-grandparents would remember this with aching fondness and regret; you will be delighted and astonished.

IN HIS 1776 MASTERPIECE 'An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations', (and other of his writings, as well) Adam Smith explains the concept of the "invisible hand" by which each individual looking out solely for his or her own self-interest nonetheless organically supports and improves the well-being and prosperity of the whole community. America's founders and the framers of the United States Constitution, who were close students of Smith's work and wisdom, employed the same principle in their establishment of the federal tax structure.

That structure is designed to ensure that federal revenue reliance would necessarily be upon excises, imposts and duties, the incidences of which are entirely within the control of each individual citizen. Because each citizen naturally attends to his or her own financial well being by limiting such incidences, the Founders' structure, like a mighty invisible hand energized by hundreds of millions of individual self-interests, relentlessly keeps the state lean and on the leash-- when it is functioning as intended and is not knobbled by ignorance and Leviathan-serving mythology and disinformation.

We had the benefit of that disciplinary dynamic during our first 140 years or so. Here is how it will play out again once enough Americans have recovered an accurate understanding of US Constitutional tax provisions and the actual statutory structure of the income tax, which fully conforms to those provisions and their state-disciplining purpose:

A History Of Federal Government Efforts To Suppress The Inconvenient Truth About The Income Tax

“There are two distinct classes of men...those who pay taxes and those who receive and live upon taxes.”

-Thomas Paine

SINCE THE MIDDLE OF 2003 the federal government has been engaged in an intense effort to suppress the liberating truth about the "income" tax uniquely revealed in ‘Cracking the Code- The Fascinating Truth About Taxation In America’ (CtC).

Having quickly recognized that if it gets into enough hands the information in the book is fatal to what has been a decade's-long-wallow in other people's money to which the political elite have grown very comfortably accustomed, the state has spared no effort and found no level of corruption too shameful to embrace in this project-- all while continuously acknowledging the truth revealed in the book by steadily returning all withheld property to Americans across the country for the same seven years, of course...  Here's how it has gone:

Regarding A Few Things In The Weekend News

The attacks on Snowden and Russia; Obama's surprise move; melting snowflakes...

I HAVE TO COMMENT on the astonishing cheek of the House Intelligence Committee issuing a 39-page calumny against Edward Snowden. The assault piece is meant to persuade the rest of us that Snowden is some kind of low-life and even a Russian spy.

But interestingly, no effort is made to dispute Snowden's revelations-- this is a cheap "kill the messenger" routine, along with an effort to turn attention from the crimes revealed by Snowden's whistleblowing by trying to make the focus be on Snowden himself. This is the world's oldest dodge and one routinely seized-upon by guilty parties everywhere.

The DNC and Clinton camps are working the same game-plan. They're struggling to distract everyone from the crimes revealed in emails leaked over the past several years concerning members of those cabals by trying to focus everyone on Russia (who they have been striving mightily to demonize generally over the last several years), with the (frankly, lame) assertion that Russia hacked servers to access these emails and then gave them to Wikileaks.

Happily, only the dim-witted can be so easily distracted or misled. The rest of us are very conscious of the crimes we are being asked to forget.

We are also cognizant of the fact that those making the assertions about Russia and Snowden are the very people who were exposed by the email leaks and the Snowden revelations as having committed enormous crimes against all of us and our rule of law.

It is those behind the claims of Russian server-hacking who were revealed to have subverted the political process in favor of Hillary Clinton's campaign throughout the Democratic primary season, and to have engaged in a deep cover-up of Clinton's serial security and propriety breaches while Secretary of State. And those who make the ugly assertions about Ed Snowden are the same folks who Snowden exposed as having committed massive Fourth Amendment violations against virtually everyone in the country.

Why should anyone believe anything either of these gangs of criminals have to say? No one should, and no one does.

BARACK OBAMA, NOW IN THE FINAL DAYS OF HIS TIME IN OFFICE has managed at long last to channel a truly great predecessor. In a surprise move allowing a UN resolution to go forward condemning the incorrigible Netanyahu government's stubborn persistence in building permanent occupation structures on land seized through acts of terrorism in the 1940s from its Palestinian owners, Obama has acted as would George Washington himself, based on the admonitions in Washington's justly famous and respected Farewell Address:

"...nothing is more essential, than that permanent, inveterate antipathies against particular Nations, and passionate attachments for others, should be excluded; and that, in place of them, just and amicable feelings towards all should be cultivated. The Nation, which indulges towards another an habitual hatred, or an habitual fondness, is in some degree a slave. It is a slave to its animosity or to its affection, either of which is sufficient to lead it astray from its duty and its interest. Antipathy in one nation against another disposes each more readily to offer insult and injury, to lay hold of slight causes of umbrage, and to be haughty and intractable, when accidental or trifling occasions of dispute occur. Hence frequent collisions, obstinate, envenomed, and bloody contests. The Nation, prompted by ill-will and resentment, sometimes impels to war the Government, contrary to the best calculations of policy. The Government sometimes participates in the national propensity, and adopts through passion what reason would reject; at other times, it makes the animosity of the nation subservient to projects of hostility instigated by pride, ambition, and other sinister and pernicious motives. The peace often, sometimes perhaps the liberty, of Nations has been the victim.

"So likewise, a passionate attachment of one Nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite Nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest, in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter, without adequate inducement or justification. It leads also to concessions to the favorite Nation of privileges denied to others, which is apt doubly to injure the Nation making the concessions; by unnecessarily parting with what ought to have been retained; and by exciting jealousy, ill-will, and a disposition to retaliate, in the parties from whom equal privileges are withheld. And it gives to ambitious, corrupted, or deluded citizens, (who devote themselves to the favorite nation,) facility to betray or sacrifice the interests of their own country, without odium, sometimes even with popularity; gilding, with the appearances of a virtuous sense of obligation, a commendable deference for public opinion, or a laudable zeal for public good, the base or foolish compliances of ambition, corruption, or infatuation."

There's not much good that can be said of Obama's foreign-policy efforts over the past eight years, but at least he's ending on a high note.

***

FINALLY, love Trump or hate him, this needs to be said about the scarily-nutcase reactions by some to his electoral victory:

I fear that a society or culture that becomes unable to distinguish the healthy from the unhealthy is doomed, and there is an awful lot of mental un-health on display in the behaviors being made fun of in this video. More, and, more disturbingly still, is the un-health on display in the accommodating and enabling behaviors of the college administrations involved.

America is going down two anticipated dystopian paths. Everyone knows about the one leading to Orwell's 1984, but this stuff is the road-sign warning of the other-- the path to Huxley's Brave New World. The place to which it leads is just as dark as Oceania.

Let's not allow this. Those in the actual productive sector of America should keep their kids away from any snowflake-accommodating school. Further, those in the productive community should hire no one who has spent four years in such a nursery. The diplomas from these places are not evidence of a well-educated adult, anyway. Instead, they are evidence of a mis-educated long-term adolescent.

Be confident that a few years of proof that the medium-sized fortunes sunk into tuition at these bouncy-houses have yielded nothing but an inability to get a decent job will see a drastic change in the attendance at these places. Soon after that the administrators and the behavior of these "schools" will change just as drastically, and America will be much better off as a result.

Word To The CtC Community

Clarifying the message of the moment, II.

BREXIT. DONALD TRUMP elected to the White House. The Cubbies taking the World Series. A Clinton or two on the road to prison.

Does anyone still doubt that we are in a transformational moment? Don't doubt it. We are.

The status-quo house of cards is reeling and rocking like it has not done even once for a moment in the 75 years of systematic, institutionalized misapplication of the income tax. Now is the time to stand up and make things happen, people.

I URGE YOU ALL to re-visit and re-read the words posted here. Do what you are asked to do there.

Visit this page, too, and go full-bore at spreading the word directly.

It IS a transformational moment. It's a Restore the Republic moment. The principles of CtC are a necessary component of that restoration, and it is up to us to see to it that this is understood across America.

The bad guys are reeling and rocking. The good guys need to get rocking and rolling.

Autumn Hargrave Has Stepped Up For The Rule Of Law!

RIGHT AFTER I POSTED THE CALL TO ACTION ABOVE, Warrior Autumn Hargrave proudly shared two victories secured last month. These are complete refunds of everything withheld and paid over to the state as "income" tax during 2013 and 2014, respectively, both include interest, and both issued in response to amended returns.

Here is the refund for 2013:

The filing (and the notice showing the interest computation) can be seen here.

Here is Autumn's refund for 2014:

The filing (and the notice showing the interest computation) can be seen here.

GOT TO LOVE this fine, heroic American!

Autumn has stepped up and acted to restrain the dangerous and corrupt state and uphold the rule of law, something desperately needed from everyone. Her victories join those of the tens of thousands of other awakened and activated Americans represented here, and is another step toward the restoration of the Founders republic and the true rule of law.

Don't you wish your victories were proudly posted, too?

It's easy. Stand up on behalf of the law, and then share the evidence.

That's all there is to it!

Illuminating anniversaries of this week:

January 3- In 1777, George Washington defeats Charles Cornwallis in the Battle of Princeton.  In 1823, Stephen Austin receives a grant of land in Texas from the government of Mexico.  In 1834, the government of Mexico imprisons Stephen Austin in Mexico City on suspicion of inciting insurrection.  In 1870, construction begins on the Brooklyn Bridge.  In 1925, Benito Mussolini announces his seizure of dictatorial power in Italy.  In 1933, Minnie Craig becomes the first female Speaker of a state House of Representatives (North Dakota).  In 1947, proceedings in the U.S. Congress are televised for the first time.  In 1957, the first electric wristwatch appears.  In 1959, Alaska is admitted to the union as the 49th of the several states.

So, Did You Fear A President Clinton? Do You Fear A President Trump?

You ought to dread either one...

IF THERE HAS BEEN ONE POSITIVE CONSEQUENCE of this latest election cycle, it is that a whole lot of Americans have been awakened to the fact that power in the hands of public officials is dangerous! Whether one's choice of the lesser evil might be, Clinton or Trump, the other evil on offer has starkly painted into his mind the perils of modern state power falling into undeserving hands.

Generally, in past elections, opposition to the "other guy"-- the pick preferred by other folks but not you-- has hinged on policy issues. Though sometimes heatedly defended or assailed, and though often concerning important matters, the issues have generally been taken at one or another level of "academic" consideration.

This year "position" and "opposition" have been on a self-preservation level. Whether you're for Clinton or Trump, you view the choice as one on which your very survival might depend.

Being unable to tell today how it's going to turn out in December (when the actual election takes place), everyone has experienced a very cold feeling in the pit of the stomach from the thought that it might go the wrong way. That feeling of imminent dire peril is the gift of the remarkable 2016 presidential race.

This year, for the first time, a lot of Americans are really, truly learning that to facilitate the near-Satanic power of the unrestrained state is to hang a Sword of Damocles over their own heads, and those of their children.

As P.J. O'Rourke wittily and accurately said, "Giving money and power to politicians is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys." I'll add what is clearly implied but what I suspect many folks hadn't really realized until this year-- you and your kids are strapped into the back seat of that car.

SO, LOTS OF FOLKS ARE REALLY GETTING THE MESSAGE FOR THE FIRST TIME that power in political hands is bad, stupid, dangerous. What we in the CtC community must do is help these folks-- our friends, family and acquaintances-- recognize the necessary solution to this now-understood grave threat: STOP GIVING THEM THE GAS!!!

We in the CtC community must seize the moment. We must make a big push right now to show those about whom we care that it is their right and their duty to learn and declare the truth on every tax-related instrument they sign.

At the same time, we must show those we love that learning and declaring the truth on every tax-related instrument-- and thereby cutting off the excessive fuel-supply to the state-- is their only real hope for safety. Otherwise there will always be a Leviathan plenty big enough to destroy them at best waiting in the wings for one dicey election to go the wrong way and bring the nightmare to life.

A NUMBER OF YEARS AGO a statist thug made the observation that a crisis should never be allowed to go to waste. In his case he meant that a crisis should be used to grow the state and fasten it ever-more firmly on the American people.

But that sword cuts both ways. This time, how about the good guys capitalize on the crisis and use it to shrink the state?

Let's not forget, the "Cracking the Code" community has always also been the "Restore the Republic" community. So, CtC2RtR (#CtC2RtR)! That has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

NOTE: Click on Saruman's evil mug in the image above to see how the spread of CtC's revelations will act to RtR.

The Biggest Snow-Job In World History: The Myth That 1913 America Adopted A Marxist Progressive Tax On "All That Comes In"

Thank goodness the sun is now shining...

Illuminating anniversaries of this week:

January 4- In 1884, the socialist "Fabian Society" is founded in London, England.  In 1885, the first successful appendectomy is performed.  In 1896, Utah becomes the 45th sovereign American state and is admitted to the union as such.  In 1903, Thomas Edison electrocutes an elephant named 'Topsy' in an effort to demonstrate the danger of alternating current over his preferred direct current technology.   In 1965, Lyndon Johnson announces the assault on fiscal sanity and the Constitution known as the 'Great Society'.  In 1974, Richard Nixon defies a Senate subpoena for 'Watergate'-related documents.  In 1999, Jesse Ventura is sworn in as governor of Minnesota.

PRO TIP: If I were the IRS and I wanted to discourage people from rebutting allegations that they had done things I can tax, and keep them from successfully reclaiming withheld or paid-in money, I would salt the "tax honesty" community with passionate-seeming "legal researchers" who would warn anyone whose ear they captured that filing a 1040 is a bad idea for one reason or another.

Regarding Trolleries

(Deceitful efforts to discourage Americans from learning the truth about the "income tax")

The plane that gets the most flak is the one that's right above the target.

FOR ALL THE YEARS SINCE 2003 when CtC was first published, the government has engaged in a concerted effort to frighten people away from its truths. This effort involves official government websites and press releases touting an occasional court ruling that appears to be at odds with some CtC-revelation (but without details sufficient to expose the real substance of the ruling)-- and sometimes even more mendacious behavior.

The Fourth Amendment Enforcement Locker

Some things you've just got to do for yourself.

*****

Are the presentations and resources offered on this site and in my other work of any value to you?

Tim Kendrick has posted a video on YouTube regarding donations. I didn't know what to do about it to begin with; I don't do what I do intending for anyone to feel obligated in any way.

But of course, no one IS obligated. I will continue to make my work freely-available here, and in my books for only the cost of a cheap paperback.

Thus, even though I post it here below, Tim's very thoughtful personal resolution and encouragement to others is just an invitation for consideration by those who may not be conscious of the fact that I can't do what I do without support. No one is to feel any pressure from it; if it moves anyone to act let it be solely because it seems right.

Why Does The Government Lie About 'Cracking the Code'?

THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION is the key to the restoration of the republic and the rule of law in America. See it below. (NOTE: It's very important that the entire 24 minutes be viewed.)

This video can also be found on YouTube at https://youtu.be/hgzzYl-eeUI.

Here are links to the two pages to which viewers are directed at the end of the film: The Crime of the Century and The Truth About The 16th Amendment.

The other two mentioned in the film are this one (the "bulletin board" stack of 1,200 or so posted refunds and other victories in knowledgably applying the law; and this one (the collection of resisted claims and the outcomes of those little battles).

PLEASE be a real activist about sending this link to every single person in your address book, and about sharing it through facebook, reddit, twitter, and any other distribution channel with which you are familiar. Send it to every journalist you can. It's time to really make something happen.

Accompany your emails and posts with with a strong admonishment to watch the film through, and that doing so will show the viewer an individual-empowering, state-restraining truth about the income tax which the government has been trying to keep hidden from view for 75 years and which that person really needs to know.

BY THE WAY, as is impossible to miss, I have neither the skills nor the tools to make even moderately good films. This is simply not my forte. Anyone able to do better is encouraged to talk to me about that.

As is ALSO impossible to miss, though-- even in my amateur production-- reader video testimonials have GREAT POWER. Send me yours.

True American Joe Black Testifies And Shares Victories For Liberty And The Rule Of Law

...as every American should...

EDUCATED AMERICAN GROWN-UP JOE BLACK has stood up and acted to enforce the law upon its domestic enemies-- or, at least, upon agencies of the state whose operators seem to happily exploit ignorance and mis-apply the law at every chance for their personal benefit. Get inspired and encouraged by Joe's video sharing his spirit, his testimony and the acknowledgements he has secured:

Find more testimonial videos here, and please, people, share these around as widely as you can. To learn what, how and why to share your own testimony (with or without mere practical victories to go along with the far more important spiritual victories that are the real heart of CtC), click here.

Two Simple Questions For Every Silent "Alt-Media" Journalist

The silence of these folks is the liberation bottleneck. Maybe this'll help, if enough people ask...

HERE'S A SIMPLE QUESTION: The income tax is, and always has been, an excise tax on privilege. This is established beyond any controversy whatever by repeated Supreme Court rulings, the words of the related laws, and, since 2003, by hundreds of thousands of acknowledgements by federal and state tax agencies.

You, like most folks, have been fooled into inadvertently agreeing that your economic activities are exercises of privilege, thereby allowing the tax to be applied to your earnings. Why is this so hard for you to admit?

HERE'S ANOTHER SIMPLE QUESTION: You and everyone else being fooled into agreeing that your economic activities are privileged and thereby allowing them to be taxed is what enables the flow of wealth that finances all the bad things done by the state o of which you complain in every column. Why is this so hard for you to admit?

I GUESS THESE ACTUALLY LEAD TO A THIRD SIMPLE QUESTION: If you really feel that all these things of which you complain are so bad, why are you not helping more Americans understand the true nature of the tax and the ill effects of it being misunderstood and misapplied?

*****

PRO TIP: By the physics of the law, an indirect tax is necessarily a privilege tax. Here's why:

The distinction between a direct tax and an indirect tax is incidence. A direct tax arises by the direct imposition of the taxer, without any election of the taxed (other than that of authorizing the taxing power in the first place).

An indirect tax arises by the taxed choosing to to to to do something by which the taxer's claim is then created. The choice that is a valid object of an indirect tax can't be anything done as an exercise of an untaxable right. Nor can it be any activity of necessity. A tax on anything done by necessity would arise not by actual election of the taxed but simply because the tax had been imposed by the taxer. Such a tax, whatever it may be called, would be in actual substance a direct tax, even if one that arose only intermittently. Think of a tax on eating, for example, or working, or engaging in trade with others (all of which are things done by right as well as by necessity, but you get the point).

What is left as the valid object of an indirect tax is the exercise of privilege-- something done not by right, and therefore done by the permission of the taxer (who, due to being possessed of an ownership right in the thing being permitted, is entitled to claim of portion of the proceeds when the thing is profitably used).

"[Although the Legislature may declare as privileges and tax as such for State revenue purposes those pursuits and occupations that are not matters of common right], the Legislature has no power to declare as a privilege and tax for revenue purposes occupations that are of common right."

Sims v. Ahrens, 167 Ark. 557, 271 SW 720 594, 595 (Ark. 1925)

The 'Watching the Watchmen Amendment'

If you're not talking this one up everywhere and helping generate a buzz, you don't really want liberty and the rule of law...

PRO TIP: The argument that a concept explicitly given a statutory definition for purposes of this or that chapter or "title" has the same meaning as the common word the legislature has borrowed for its label-- which meaning plainly didn't suit the legislature's purposes, hence its replacement-- is a preposterous reading of the law.

“It is axiomatic that the statutory definition of the term excludes unstated meanings of that term.”

Meese v. Keene, 481 U.S. 465 (1987);

“[W]e are not at liberty to put our gloss on the definition that Congress provided by looking to the generally accepted meaning of the defined term.”

Tenn. Prot. & Advocacy Inc. v. Wells, 371 F.3d 342 (6th Cir. 2004).

In light of the actual evidence, , those who doubt or deny the accuracy and correctness of CtC just because government officials make weaselly representations against it are like the 16th-century Europeans who were mystified by Copernicus getting all those astronomical predictions right even though the church had said he was wrong.

Media Evasion Of CtC Must End, Now

Time, unfortunately, is on the side of the well-funded disinformation specialists class

Illuminating anniversaries of this week:

January 6- In 1553, Francisco Pizarro founds Lima, Peru.  In 1838, Samuel Morse successfully tests his 'telegraph'.  In 1907, Maria Montessori opens her first school in Rome.  In 1912, New Mexico is admitted to the union as the 47th of the several states.  In 1929, Mother Teresa arrives in Calcutta.  In 1936, the U.S. Supreme Court rules that Roosevelt's 'New Deal' Agriculture Adjustment Act is unconstitutional.

Are You Having Trouble Spreading The Word?

SKEPTICISM (SOMETIMES INVOKED BY FEAR) IS TO BE EXPECTED when you're trying to explain to someone that everything they've been encouraged their whole lives to believe about something as entrenched and significant as the income tax is basically nonsense. So here's a way to help cut through the resistance:

Ask your listener how he or she would react if you were to show an announcement from the Commissioner of Internal Revenue admitting that the tax doesn't apply to the earnings of most Americans and is misapplied most of the time because people don't understand how it works? Or how about if you showed a ruling from the Supreme Court saying the same?

Now you just have to explain that you're going to show exactly those things-- but because the state really doesn't want people to know this, these things haven't been said quite as forthrightly as we would all wish. It's going to take a bit more work to take these admissions in than is sufficient for just reading a press release. But it'll be worth the effort...

OTHER VOICES:

Making Russia 'The Enemy'

by Robert Parry

(Although 11 days old, and making a now-outdated reference to the electoral college vote last week, this article is still current in all other respects, and well-worth reading.)

The rising hysteria about Russia is best understood as fulfilling two needs for Official Washington: the Military Industrial Complex’s transitioning from the “war on terror” to a more lucrative “new cold war” – and blunting the threat that a President Trump poses to the neoconservative/liberal-interventionist foreign-policy establishment.

By hyping the Russian “threat,” the neocons and their liberal-hawk sidekicks, who include much of the mainstream U.S. news media, can guarantee bigger military budgets from Congress. The hype also sets in motion a blocking maneuver to impinge on any significant change in direction for U.S. foreign policy under Trump.

Some Democrats even hope to stop Trump from ascending to the White House by having the Central Intelligence Agency, in effect, lobby the electors in the Electoral College with scary tales about Russia trying to fix the election for Trump.

The electors meet on Dec. 19 when they will formally cast their votes, supposedly reflecting the judgments of each state’s voters, but conceivably individual electors could switch their ballots from Trump to Hillary Clinton or someone else.

On Thursday, liberal columnist E.J. Dionne Jr. joined the call for electors to flip, writing: “The question is whether Trump, Vladimir Putin and, perhaps, Clinton’s popular-vote advantage give you sufficient reason to blow up the system.

That Democrats would want the CIA, which is forbidden to operate domestically in part because of its historic role in influencing elections in other countries, to play a similar role in the United States shows how desperate the Democratic Party has become.

And, even though The New York Times and other big news outlets are reporting as flat fact that Russia hacked the Democratic email accounts and gave the information to WikiLeaks, former British Ambassador Craig Murray, a close associate of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, told the London Daily Mail that he personally received the email data from a “disgusted” Democrat.

Even as ardent a statist as Abraham Lincoln, in announcing his willingness to burn the Southern states to the ground in order to keep them paying the tariff for the benefit of Northern interests in his first inaugural address on March 4, 1861, paid at least lip service to the Founders design of leaving control over the fuel available to feed the fires Washington wants to light in the hands of the individual citizenry when he said, "Doing this I deem to be only a simple duty on my part; and I shall perform it, unless my rightful masters, the American people, shall withhold the requisite means..."

About The Author

Pete Hendrickson is possibly the most effective lawyer in history, even while never having set foot in a law school, nor ever being a card-carrying member of "the bar". He is the first American in history to secure a complete refund of Social Security and Medicare ‘contributions’ withheld from his earnings (along with all other property taken for federal taxes); further, since 2003 students of his legal analyses and arguments in ‘Cracking the Code- The Fascinating Truth About Taxation In America’’ (CtC), and its sequel, 'Was Grandpa Really a Moron?' have been routinely retaining and recovering billions of dollars which otherwise-- wrongly, but as a matter of course-- would have gone to federal or state government treasuries. This despite concerted efforts by government to suppress his work, and in some cases vigorously oppose the claims by his students.

Hendrickson is also a widely-read essayist on matters of politics, public policy and law; many of these works are collected in his second book, ‘Upholding the Law And Other Observations’.  He is a member of Mensa; an award-winning artist; and has paid his dues as a youth soccer coach.  He is a long-time political activist as well, and has served as co-chair and platform convention delegate of Michigan’s largest county Libertarian Party organization; as a consultant to the National Right to Work Foundation and Citizens for a Sound Economy; as a member of the Heartland Institute; and as a member of the International Society for Individual Liberty.  He is a frequent radio-show guest on stations across the country.

Hendrickson's business career has included nearly a decade-and-a-half at the leading edge of the renewable-energy industry, both as Director of Purchasing and Materials Management and member of the R&D board at Starpak Energy Systems, the mid-west's then-largest solar heating and energy-recovery-and re-utilization company; and as founder and president of AFJ Inc., a high-efficiency lighting design, manufacture and installation firm.

Beginning in the mid-1990s and continuing for the twelve years before his present full-time focus on the restoration of the rule of law in America, Hendrickson directed purchasing activities for the $84 million-a-year multi-family-housing division of the Farmington Hills, Michigan branch of Edward Rose and Sons, with responsibility for 18,000+ apartments, direct supervision of 35 technicians and agents, and incidental authority over several hundred divisional workers.  He also ran the division's 10 cable television earth-station and distribution systems in four states, and designed and administered the company's website.

On rather the other end of the spectrum, amidst these more mundane pursuits Hendrickson co-founded and was the primary creative force behind a small board- and card-game company that enjoyed a modest success for several years.

Hendrickson makes his home in southeast Michigan, with his wife and two children.  He is currently working on his next book.
