Along with some housekeeping notes, the Irish Letter, and a salute to Greg
Abbott for a recent virtuous act:
February 28- In 1784, John Wesley
charters the Methodist Church. In 1827, the B&O Railroad is incorporated. In
1922, Egypt gains its independence from Britain. In 1935, nylon is invented.
In 1985, the Provisional IRA attacks the Royal Ulster Constabulary station at
Newry with mortars. In 1986, the Prime Minister of Sweden is assassinated in
Stockholm. In 1993, the BATF attempts to execute a bogus "firearms violation"
warrant by way of a massive, no-knock raid on the home of the Branch Davidian
religious sect in Waco, Texas, as a publicity stunt. In 1998, the unmanned
Global Hawk aircraft makes its first flight. In 2013, Pope Benedict XVI becomes
the first holding his office to resign in nearly six centuries.

HEY, People! Please don't just
read what I post here (or anywhere), and nod your head sagely or

perspectives and arguments with which to
educate others, and in the
expectation that you will forward my posts to other people (or
direct them to those posts). PLEASE do those things.
We won't win by YOU knowing what I

Cutting Through The
Mind-Numbing War-Monger Drumbeat
...along with a salute to Greg Abbott of Texas, who, as
is his occasional wont, did a very good thing last week; some housekeeping notes;
and an early appearance of the Irish Letter.
I'M GOING TO BEGIN TODAY WITH THE EVENTS IN UKRAINE, the
discussion of which, due to the efforts of war
enthusiasts to poison the atmosphere against
contrary views, might require frequently-repeated
denials of being a Putin
supporter or apologist throughout since what I
have to say about it all is going to cut deeply
against the narratives being churned out by Western
media and officialdom. I ask you to simply assume
and insert those denials as needed, so as to
minimize what otherwise would be quite tedious for
both of us.
I also ask you to remember that the folks I will be contradicting are
the same folks that assured
you it would just be "two weeks to flatten the
curve" and served up all the other bs and
associated dissent-repression that has followed for
lo, these past two years and more. That says all
that should need be said on the matter of whose
motivations should be considered suspect.
(Finally, let me remind everyone that when links
appear in my work, they are never software
generated, or merely to definitions or such. Rather,
they are to material supporting or expanding the
statements in which they appear. Click on them all,

NOW, DISCLAIMER DULY ISSUED, let's dive into the
deep end: The Russian invasion is NOT
unprovoked. Though it is now as memory-holed (and/or
spun) fact as the
court-stenographer-and-propaganda-engine Western
media can make it, in 2014 the Obama administration
engineered a coup in Ukraine, turning that country
into a direct security threat-- both technically and
viscerally-- to Russia.
The Russia-friendly, democratically-elected
government of Viktor Yanukovych was overthrown by a
violent mob of Ukrainian Nazis, fueled and guided by
United States operatives with a $5 billion budget.
In its place these operatives installed an unelected
nest of rabid Russia-haters
of and from Ukrainian collaborators with the
German Nazi army which used Ukraine as a
corridor in its invasion of Russia during World War
II and left millions of
dead Russians in its wake-- in fact, ~20 million--
who are eager to become a home for NATO missiles 250
miles from Moscow.
Happily, the US-engineered coup is beyond dispute, as much as the presstitute media attempts to suggest otherwise by
ignoring or pooh-poohing it: In a(n unfortunately)
rare instance of such covert or heavily-spun
malefaction being proven by hard evidence, a
telephone call between US State Department operative
Victoria Nuland and Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey
Pyatt was intercepted in which Nuland and Pyatt discuss who they would put in place as the
US puppet government upon completion of the coup (if
approved by Joe Biden, who had overall control of
the operation).
Listen to the call here (with subtitles onscreen).
PROMPTLY UPON BEING GIVEN CHARGE of Ukraine's
military, the US-installed usurpers launched
oppressive measures-- all the way from banning the
use of the Russian language to artillery shelling--
against the
population of the eastern part of the country. It
was from there that the majority of Yanukovych's
electoral support had come, and
those folks, now disenfranchised by the coup,
refused to accept the usurper regime as legitimate.
The areas attacked included Donetsk, Luhansk and
Crimea-- all historically Russian from the late
1700s (and in some respects or for some intervals
since the mid 1500s or even earlier). Each of these districts
promptly applied to Russia to be annexed,
with local referenda on that request yielding hugely
overwhelming majorities in favor. (If a paywall
appears blocking the preceding link,
click here and then click on the link below the
video placeholder.)
Russia accepted Crimea's application (due in large
part to Crimea being already a major Russian
military installation under a long-term lease with
the legitimate Ukrainian government, and being
nominally a part of Ukraine at that point only by
virtue of Nikita Khrushchev having "reassigned" it
from Russia proper-- to which it had belonged
outright since
1783-- as part of the politics involved in shoring
up his claim to primacy in the USSR after Stalin's
death). The applications of Donetsk and Luhansk were
declined.
Eventually the military assaults on what became
known as the separatist regions (Donetsk and Luhansk)
became the grounds for the Minsk Agreements (I, in
2014, being a declaration of principles and
II, in
2015, being specific implementations). Those
agreements have been steadily violated ever since,
while the US sent hundreds of $millions in weapons
to the Russia-hostile regime over the last year
alone.
IN LIGHT OF ALL THE FOREGOING, I say again, Russian
actions of the last 7 days are NOT "unprovoked".
This is endlessly asserted (with an intensity
suggestive of its propagandistic character and
purposes) by those salivating for war and trying to
keep alive the years-long campaign to demonize
Russia and Putin, but it is plainly not true.
I can't say why this assertion (and the
demonization it supports) is endlessly made. Perhaps
it is to help ensure big "defense" budgets. Perhaps
it is to maintain the politically-protective
pretense that Hillary Clinton only lost to Donald
Trump due to "Russian interference" and to justify
the slow murder of Julian Assange, who is
falsely accused of being a Russian tool in his
release of DNC emails showing the organization
cheating Bernie Sanders supporters for Clinton's
benefit. But whatever the reason, again, the
assertion is plainly not true.
Now, whether the provocations serve to justify
Russia's actions is a different matter entirely, of
course-- and I am not saying that they do. My
purpose in making these observations is simply to
ensure that the American public discourse regarding
current events in Eastern Europe is well-informed by
facts, and not simply a product of manipulated
emotions and other hind-brain influences (a subject
nicely covered by Glenn Greenwald
here).
I hope I have succeeded, to at least some degree
(and whether I do will depend heavily on you sharing
this material with others...).
**
BTW, David Stockman presents a useful sketch of the
history of Ukraine and Crimea
here. Kit Knightly bullet-points coup-related
events of 1990 through 2014
here.
Also, over the last several days we have seen dozens of
highly-partisan "journalists" interviewing
Ukrainians with great expressions of sympathy (never
any Russians) and urging them to "hang on" and fight
to the bitter end. This is madness.
The Russian army IS going to take Ukraine. To
suggest otherwise is delusional. The only question
concerns how many people will die in the process,
which is directly related to how long the process
takes.
On the same note, and in a even greater expression
of madness, Ukrainian president
Voldomyr Zelenskyy
has urged Ukrainian civilians to take up arms
against the Russians as well. This converts these
non-combatants into legitimate targets for Russian
soldiers-- again, ensuring that many more will die
than need to have done so.
None of this is to disparage the impulse of
Ukrainians to fight (although to do so on behalf of
an illegitimate regime installed by a
foreign-engineered coup has its own special issues).
I respect that impulse.
It is, instead, to denounce and condemn outsiders
who are urging Ukrainians to pointless deaths in
service to their own self-interests, be they simple
psychotic blood-lust, perceived political benefits
from lots of carnage in this affair, anticipated
upticks in armament sales, or whatever. Such
encouragements are grotesque and those engaging in
them should be ashamed of themselves.
Anyone is free to root for the Ukrainians. But they
should do so in silence, just as should any who
might take the side of the seceding provinces and
the Russian insistence on Ukrainian neutrality.
EVERY NOW AND THEN GREG ABBOTT, GOVERNOR OF TEXAS,
does something really good and important. Last week
Abbott really shone brightly, issuing
findings (and related directives) that "gender
reassignment" or "affirmation" practices, including
chemical and surgical mutilation of children on the
grounds of treating or accommodating so-called
"gender dysphoria", constitutes child abuse under
existing Texas law (which it obviously does, just as
it constitutes child abuse under the laws of every
other state).
Prosecutions will follow, and we can all hope that
Texas will soon root this despicable behavior out,
and other states will quickly follow suit.

I'M GOING TO CLOSE with a couple of
housekeeping notes: To begin with, I'm sorry to say
that the LHC site search function is down. This is a
server-based problem arising as Yahoo transfers its
website-hosting business to Verizon, and I am told
by Verizon support that it has affected all hosted
sites offering this feature.
Please be patient; hopefully this will be resolved
soon. In the meantime, don't forget that
the
site map will direct you to resources by topic
or category, amongst them 'Notes and Tips for
Educated Filers', 'FAQs', 'What Qualifies as Taxable
Privilege' and so forth, each of which gets to
targeted material for which you might be tempted to
do a keyword search, but with all-important
background, context, and related and supporting
material as well.
SECOND, I WANT TO LET EVERYONE KNOW that there will
not be a March 14 newsletter edition. I will have my
right arm in a sling at that point as I recover from
some work that is going to be done a few days
earlier to repair damaged tendons in my shoulder.
Typing and such will not be possible.
Because the aforementioned circumstances mean no
posting for the week of St. Patrick's Day, I'm going
to today share the artifact I have long associated
with that holiday, and which I think important
enough to merit the departure. I speak of the letter
found in the attic of a friend many
years ago, posted below.
Understand, this is a real letter, and though the
first reaction upon reading it will be to smile,
maybe even chuckle, at the quaint and often-parodied
forms of expression throughout and the seemingly
out-of-character attitude of the writer, don't stop
there. Give the letter a second read and really
think about what is being said.
I have no big "takeaway" to offer, other than to
point out that as reflected in this letter from an
older woman in a country of the West not long ago,
real life is a lot more serious than most Americans
have been successfully encouraged to imagine. By way
of important context, understand that this letter
concerned the invasion, conquest and oppression of
the Irish by the government of the UK.

Not Letting This "Crisis" Go To Waste...
...an important action item opportunity.
FRIENDS, THE SPORADIC BITS OF EASING of the despotic measures to
which most of the country has been subjected this year should not be
allowed to bleed off the head of steam you probably had been developing.
The offenses happened, and they're far from over. Stay hot.
And while you are all warmed up, and while others, if
they're smart, are just as hot, I'd like you to send an email (and
Facebook post, or whatever) with the following content to everyone you
can (with a request that they pass it along, in turn):
[Name], over the last several months you've
watched as over-fed state power has been used to literally destroy
classical Western civilization and impose a new despotic paradigm. No
dissent or debate permitted-- no permission or agreement sought.
YOU KNOW where this will end up if the arrogant
state power being used to make this happen isn't radically diminished in
size, influence, resources and popular support, and exposed as an
opportunistic exploiter of legal ignorance (an ignorance which it has
been nurturing in the average mind for decades).
Those things having not yet happened, you
should be quaking in your boots-- and you probably are.
Isn't it time-- and past time-- for you to
begin helping to make those desperately-needed defensive changes take
place? There is only one way these things can happen short of a
who-knows-what we'll-end-up-with explosion of violence. I'm going to
show it to you.
When you're done with that reading, you'll know
what to do next.
BTW, REMEMBER, ALSO, THAT EVERY AMERICAN has lately been given a stark lesson in the fact
that government officials at all levels will lie to you and violate the
law without batting an eye. They will do so any time it serves their agenda, and
you don't call them out for it.
If you know anyone who has been persisting in denial on the
truth about the income tax, you know such nonsense is usually be
grounded in some version or another of, "That can't be true..." or "They
would never do something like that...". Now's the time to put a pin in
that delusional bubble.
As the C19 hoax has starkly shown, "that" certainly CAN be true, and they
certainly WOULD do something
like that.
Use this evidence in all your
outreach efforts.
"It is not the function of our Government to keep the
citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to
keep the Government from falling into error."
-United States Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson
(Deceitful efforts to discourage Americans from
learning the truth about the "income tax")
FOR ALL THE YEARS SINCE 2003 when
CtC was first published, the government has engaged in a
concerted effort to frighten people away from its truths. This
effort involves official government websites and press releases
touting an occasional court ruling that appears to be at odds
with some
CtC-revelation (but without details sufficient to expose the
real substance of the ruling)--
and sometimes even more mendacious behavior.
Are the presentations and
resources offered on this site and in my other work of any value to you?
Tim Kendrick has posted
a video
on YouTube regarding donations. I didn't know what to do about
it to begin with; I don't do what I do intending for anyone to
feel obligated in any way.
But of course, no one IS obligated. I will continue
to make my work freely-available here, and in my books for only
the cost of a cheap paperback.
Thus, even though I post it here below, Tim's very
thoughtful personal resolution and encouragement to others is
just an invitation for consideration by those who may not be
conscious of the fact that I can't do what I do without support.
No one is to feel any pressure from it; if it moves anyone to
act let it be solely because it seems right.
All-in-all, just be the sort of person for others
that you would go to yourself for trustworthy leadership.
Leadership is a challenge. But it's not
complicated, and you can do it.

Are You Having Trouble Spreading The
Word?
SKEPTICISM (SOMETIMES INVOKED BY FEAR) IS TO BE
EXPECTED when you're trying to explain to someone that
everything they've been encouraged their whole lives to
believe about something as entrenched and significant as the
income tax is basically nonsense. So here's a way to help
cut through the resistance:
Ask your listener how he or she would react if
you were to show an announcement from the Commissioner of
Internal Revenue admitting that the tax doesn't apply to the
earnings of most Americans and is misapplied most of the
time because people don't understand how it works? Or how
about if you showed a ruling from the Supreme Court saying
the same?
Now you just have to explain that
you're going to show exactly those things-- but because
the state really doesn't want people to know this, these
things haven't been said quite as forthrightly as we would
all wish. It's going to take a bit more work to take these
admissions in than is sufficient for just reading a press
release. But it'll be worth the effort...
IF YOU'RE NOT SPREADING THIS LINK with every bit of
energy you can, to school libraries, homeschool
families and community groups, your neighbors, your
family members, your pastors and
co-congregationalists, journalists, lawyers, CPAs,
members of congress, tax-agency workers, Wikipedia,
Anonymous, WikiLeaks, the Tax Foundation, everyone
in the "tax honesty" movement, the 9/11 truth
movement, other activist movements and everyone
else,
you have only yourself to blame for your
troubles with the tax, and a whole lot else of which
you might complain. It's on you.
WRITE A NICE, FRIENDLY AND BRIEF introductory note
explaining what will be seen at the link-- cryptic
is bad; excited is good-- and then send this WMI
(weapon of mass instruction) far and wide.
Remember: Real Americans don't accommodate fog, lies and a sliding scale of
adherence to the rule of law. Real American men and women stand up for the
truth and the law, come what may, knowing that it is only by setting the bar
at the top and enforcing it, come what may, that liberties are secured.
"Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be
strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom should not be

"In a time of
universal deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary
act."
A National Terrorism Advisory Service bulletin
released last week identified the number one terroristic threat to Americans
as “the proliferation of false or misleading narratives, which sow discord or
undermine public trust in U.S. Government institutions.”
Free speech, and specifically the right to
criticize our government, is being reframed, in real time, as a threat
to public health and safety. You are being primed to fear thought
crimes, in which criticizing the US government is equal to a violent
act. The federal government is creating a public health pretense for
silencing those who tell the truth about the US government’s very real
history of victimizing its own citizens.
To take away your most basic civil liberties,
overzealous governments rely on your fear. They cultivate, stoke, and
stimulate it. Then they demand new powers to fight it.
H.L. Mencken aptly observed in 1918, “The whole
aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence
clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most
of them imaginary.”
A population clamoring to be led to safety can easily be persuaded that
some of its freedoms – even the most cherished ones – must be suspended
until the danger has passed. A laundry list of supposedly
civilization-shaking specters (the threat of Communists, of crack
cocaine, of crime, of Islamic extremism, of Covid-19) has thus been
presented to the public, to inspire their fear and ensure their
continued willingness to cede Constitutionally guaranteed natural
rights.
Each of the worst authoritarian abuses of the
state can be traced to a particular enemy, conjured by fear in the
public imagination. When we allow ourselves to be led in fear of such an
enemy, we invite the full repeal of the Bill of Rights.
Drugs
The hyper-militarized police now commonplace on
American streets is a legacy of the War on Drugs. Media fear-mongering
is driven as much by ratings as by political agenda, and Americans tuned
in to see inner-city war zones ravaged by prohibition-related violence.
Anchors and analysts reminded us to be afraid of what the crack epidemic
might do to more American communities. We were encouraged to conflate
drug use with violence, and live in fear of what some local “crackhead”
would do to get his next fix.
No-knock raids, like the
one that recently killed
Amir Locke, and
Breonna Taylor in 2020 and thousands more whose
names we never learned, were justified as a response
to drug fear. Home invasion by armed men in the
middle of the night is exactly the horror our Fourth
Amendment was designed to prevent. But police
told us they needed to do it this way, to
prevent drug dealers from flushing evidence, to
protect police who might be at risk during a
daylight raid. We allowed unthinkable violence to be
waged in our communities and in our names, to soothe
the carefully cultivated fear of illicit drugs and
their users.
Civil asset forfeiture,
another Fourth Amendment shredding travesty, was
codified by a
1970 “drug abuse prevention” law promising to
target drug kingpins and smugglers. Once the
precedent was established, government expanded to
stealing money, cars, homes, and property without
ever even alleging the owner committed a crime. The
whiff of “drug money” was enough to toss basic
American protections out the window. By 1990, the US
Attorney General openly
told his agents “…to reach our budget
target…every effort must be made to increase
forfeiture income.” As of 2014,
police steal more from Americans than burglars.
By stoking fear and then
launching a War on Drugs, the federal government
created a “public health” and “safety” pretense for
superseding civil liberties. Sure, the Fourth,
Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, Ninth, and Tenth Amendments
were eviscerated in the process but… we had to get
the drugs off the streets.
Extremism and
Terrorism
The 2000s brought the War
on Terror, with its color alerts and 24/7 news
chyrons choked with exclamation points. Xenophobia
and anti-Islamic prejudice were stirred liberally
into the stream of new reasons to panic, to keep
your kids home, to keep supplies in your car.
Congress could easily justify the PATRIOT Act as
necessary to keep Americans safe.
From the fear-driven
PATRIOT Act came surveillance and spying powers, and
government knowledge of the private lives of
citizens that would have been unthinkable in
previous decades. The kind of sinister entrapment
and harassment the FBI once reserved only for civil
rights leaders could now be turned on any American.
Our “papers and effects,” in which we have a Fourth
Amendment right to be secure from search, could now
be endlessly searched and even preemptively
compiled, on the off chance we might one day become
a suspect of a crime.
The Department of Homeland
Security – which issued this week’s shameful
memo alleging that ‘undermining public trust’ in
a government instution is an act of terrorism – is
itself an institution born of fear: a nation
captivated by the horrorific violence of the 9/11
terrorist attacks was well-primed to accept an
unprecedented expansion of federal power, enshrined
in a cabinet-level position. All born of fear.
"There is no safety for honest men but by believing all
possible evil of evil men."
-Edmund Burke
HERE'S THE THING that informs Williams' excellent
observations, and that is so important for Americans, especially, to
understand clearly and constantly: The state hates freedom--
specifically, your freedom. Every degree to which you are free
is a degree to which the state (that is, those in control of the state)
is restrained and hindered in its self-serving accumulation and
distribution of wealth and power.
When the state was kept small, its
hatred of Americans' freedoms was relatively
meaningless, because the small state lacked the
ability to satisfy any ambitions for despotism. When
the state recognized its opportunity to begin
exploiting ignorance about the limitations of the
income tax in the early years of World War II,
it began growing like Topsy, with its ambitions
and attendant loathing of-- and assaults upon-- freedom keeping pace.
The American Experiment, already on
life-support, will not survive much more of this.
THERE WILL ALWAYS BE FEAR-PRONE PEOPLE,
and the well-practiced operatives of the state will
always think up new hob-goblins by which fearfulness
can be invoked, exploited and manipulated. The only
solution is to shrink the state back down to
relative harmlessness. This needs to happen NOW,
while liberty and
the real rule of law in this country still has a
heartbeat.
Happily, the Founders and Framers thought
this one through...
Those wise and well-educated men-- knowing,
as they did, that all governments inevitably lurch
toward the accretion of power unto themselves and
the corruption which accompanies all accretions of
state power-- pre-emptively put into place a solution.
That solution is baked into the Constitutional cake
and ready to the hand of individual Americans,
entirely bypassing all supervision or approval of
any official.
The only requirements to implement that solution are eyes
with which to see the problem, reasoning with which to recognize the
truth and rightness of the solution, and courage, confidence and clarity
of mind enough to pull the trigger in the face of the natural and
predictable effort of the targeted rogue state to discourage doing so.
Learn about the Founder's solution

Then help others do so, as well.
EVEN AS ARDENT A STATIST as Abraham
Lincoln, in announcing his willingness to burn the Southern states to the ground in order to
keep them paying the tariff for the benefit of Northern interests in
his first inaugural address on March 4, 1861, paid at least lip
service to the Founders design of leaving control over the fuel
available to feed the fires Washington wants to light in the hands
of the individual citizenry when he said, "Doing this I deem to
be only a simple duty on my part; and I shall perform it, unless my
rightful masters, the American people, shall withhold the requisite
means..."

Do you
know someone truly steeped in the Kool-Aid?
I mean
someone who finds it easier to believe that the far-better-educated,
far-more-suspicious-of-government Americans of a hundred years ago were
complete morons who granted authority to the state to take whatever it
wished from themselves and their posterity than to imagine that they
themselves simply misunderstand the true nature of the income tax? Even
while knowing that their beliefs about the tax are derived entirely from
the representations of those who profit from those beliefs (like tax
bureaucrats and "tax professionals")?
Do you
know someone like that? Shake them awake with the latest (sixteenth)
edition of
CtC!
If
CtC were actually

denying and suppressing the truth for years
on end, and everybody knows THAT would never happen...
(Edward Snowden, come home! It was all just a bad dream; there really is
No Such Agency!)
Nothing gets done without a reason, and when something appears inexplicable,
that's often just because you haven't been sufficiently hard-nosed in your
analysis.
Btw, a copy of
CtC from anywhere except the link above may not
be a current edition. CHECK. It matters. Also, there ARE no
e-book, Kindle or .pdf versions of
CtC.
Don't get taken in by efforts to sell you-- or even give you for
free-- any such thing.
March 1- In 1781, the Continental
Congress adopts the Articles of Confederation. This day in 1803 is designated
as that of Ohio's admission to the union as the 17th of the several states, but
the actual congressional action on the admission didn't take place until August
7, 1953. In 1815, Napoleon Bonaparte returns to France after escaping his
imprisonment on Elba. In 1867, Nebraska is admitted to the union as the 37th of
the several states (36th, really-- see the Ohio entry above). In 1872,
Yellowstone becomes the first United States park. In 1912, Albert Berry makes
the first parachute jump from an aircraft in flight. In 1932, the son of
aviator Charles Lindbergh is kidnapped. In 1941, the first FM radio station in
America begins broadcasting (WSM-FM in Nashville, Tennessee). In 1954, Puerto
Rican nationalists open fire on United States representatives from the visitor's
gallery during a session of Congress, wounding five. In 1966, the Soviet Venera
3 space craft becomes the first to land (by crashing) on the surface of another
planet. In 1971, the Weather Underground sets off a bomb in a men's room in the
U.S. Capitol building. In 1974, seven suspects are charged with conspiracy to
obstruct justice in connection with the Watergate break-in. In 2014, eight
assailants armed with knives massacred 29 people and left another 140 wounded in
an attack in the Chinese city of Kumming. Predictable calls for strengthened
"knife control" laws echoed throughout statist lairs across America.

PRO TIP: If I were the IRS and I wanted to
discourage people from rebutting allegations that
they had done things I can tax, and wanted to keep them from
successfully reclaiming withheld or paid-in money, I
would salt the "tax honesty" community with
passionate-seeming "legal researchers" who would
warn anyone whose ear they captured that filing a
1040 is a bad idea for one reason or another...

Illuminating Anniversaries of this week:
March 3- In 1845, Florida is admitted to the union of the
several states. In 1849, Congress passes the Gold Coinage Act, providing for

tyranny in India. In 1991, the police beating of Rodney King in Los Angeles is
captured on video.
If you're not talking this one up everywhere and
helping generate a buzz, you don't really want liberty and the
rule of law...

against Russia. The victims are a former Russian officer turned British double
agent (Sergei Skripal) and his daughter while both happened to be within a few
miles of Porton Down, the one place in Britain in which the nerve agent
allegedly used is made.

Illuminating Anniversaries of this week:
March 6- In 1819, the United States
Supreme Court acknowledges in its ruling in McCulloch v. Maryland that the power
to tax is the power to destroy. In 1836, the Texas volunteers defending the
Alamo are defeated. In 1857, the Supreme Court issues its ruling in Dred Scott
v. Sanford, holding that African-Americans were not persons and could not become
citizens, and that Congress could not prohibit slavery in federal territories.
In 1869, Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev creates the periodic table. In 1899,
Bayer trademarks "aspirin". In 1951, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg go on trial for
giving nuclear secrets to the Soviet Union. In 2007, "Scooter" Libby, Chief of
Staff to former Vice President Dick Cheney, is found guilty of perjury and
obstruction of justice in connection with revealing the identity of CIA
operative Valerie Plame in retaliation for her husband's having made public
evidence that the Bush administration's claims of Iraqi ambitions to make

greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We
seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that

that ye were our countrymen."

Hendrickson is also a widely-read essayist on
matters of politics, public policy and law; many of these works
are collected in his second book, ‘Upholding
the Law And Other Observations’. He is a member of Mensa;
an
award-winning artist; and has paid his dues as a youth
soccer coach. He is a long-time political activist as well, and
has served as co-chair and platform convention delegate of
Michigan’s largest county Libertarian Party organization; as a
consultant to the National Right to Work Foundation and Citizens
for a Sound Economy; as a member of the Heartland Institute; and
as a member of the International Society for Individual
Liberty. He is a frequent radio-show guest on stations across
the country.
Hendrickson's business career has included nearly a
decade-and-a-half at the leading edge of the renewable-energy
industry, both as Director of Purchasing and Materials
Management and member of the R&D board at Starpak Energy
Systems, the mid-west's then-largest solar heating and
energy-recovery-and re-utilization company; and as founder and
president of AFJ Inc., a high-efficiency lighting design,
manufacture and installation firm.
Beginning in the mid-1990s and continuing for the
twelve years before his present full-time focus on the
restoration of the rule of law in America, Hendrickson directed
purchasing activities for the $84 million-a-year
multi-family-housing division of the Farmington Hills, Michigan
branch of Edward Rose and Sons, with responsibility for 18,000+
apartments, direct supervision of 35 technicians and agents, and
incidental authority over several hundred divisional workers.
He also ran the division's 10 cable television earth-station and
distribution systems in four states, and designed and
administered the company's website.
On rather the other end of the spectrum, amidst
these more mundane pursuits Hendrickson co-founded and was the
primary creative force behind a small
board- and
card-game company that enjoyed a modest success for several
years.
Hendrickson makes his home in southeast Michigan,
with his wife and two children. He is currently working on his
next book.
