I mean someone who finds it easier to believe that the far-better-educated, far-more-suspicious-of-government Americans of a hundred years ago were complete morons who granted authority to the state to take whatever it wished from themselves and their posterity than to imagine that they themselves simply misunderstand the true nature of the income tax? Even while knowing that their beliefs about the tax are derived entirely from the representations of those who profit from those beliefs (like tax bureaucrats and "tax professionals")?

Fear nothing but God *** -Samuel Adams *** Regarding "Bull" Connor Silence because you think you haven't yet won? That's crazy talk! LAST WEEK I heard the following from someone with whom I was corresponding: "I am not getting anywhere with the IRS. Your techniques are not working for me. So that's the main reason I haven't promoted you because I can't promote something unless I am getting success with it." I get this sort of response now and then when I have made a special effort to remind people that spreading the word is Job One. If I had any hair, expressions like this would have me pulling it. Since I don't have any hair to pull, I'll burn off that reaction more productively by trying to address the confusion underlying this sort of perspective (couched as a direct response to this interlocutor). FIRST OF ALL, there's no relevance to the phrase "working for me" to the imperative to speak in the battle between those struggling to perpetuate and live off the "ignorance tax" and those trying to restore and uphold the liberating truth. To stand silent about this truth because it "isn't working for you" is like declining to march for civil rights because so far, yours are not being honored. How do you think it would have worked out for black Americans in the 1960s if everyone had declined to turn out for the marches because at that point things weren't "working for them"? Seriously. Do you really think that because "Bull" Connor isn't yet waving a white flag to YOU (even though he has waved it to countless others) you should be silent about his crimes?! Surely you don't think that whether "Bull" is right or wrong is to be measured by whether or not he agrees or admits to being wrong, or does not, do you? If that's your metric, you have drunk the Kool-Aid of slavery. And if that had been the metric for those wanting equality under the law in the '60s, there'd still be "whites only" drinking fountains in America today. FURTHER, don't you think that "Bull" still having the water cannon on you, unlike others, means that you should be even more vigorous than others in your efforts to awaken others to the truth that "Bull's" bad behavior is meant to suppress? Frankly, being silent because your efforts to get him to do what the law requires "aren't working" is the polar opposite of sensible. It won't be time for relaxing in your efforts to spread the truth until "it's working", and really, not until "it's working" for everyone. Being silent before that is, frankly, incomprehensible. The fact is, your failure to scream people awake is the sole reason "Bull" still has the hose on you! Let this be very clear: "Bull" will continue to sporadically resist some folks and target some folks for harassment in the hope of putting the CtC toothpaste back into the tube-- with YOU being apparently on his short list-- until enough Americans have been awakened by the loud voices of those already awake-- those like YOU. That's how his sort operates. Beneficiaries of the status quo always try to keep the gravy-train going for as long as possible. SO, ALL THAT SAID, LET ME PROPOSE what I think is really at the heart of the matter: You don't understand or believe that you are correct in your view of the law and the rightness of your actions. You can't bring yourself to do the critically-important work of making your own case to others because you don't really believe your own case. And here's the glaring irony: It is only "Bull's" refusal to grudgingly admit he's wrong in your own case that has you uncertain about whether you are right. Your own timidity about your own knowledge has given "Bull" the power to trap you in an insoluble Catch-22 Push past this timidity, my friend! You already know (or should) that you are legally correct. You've read the law yourself, and you've seen a vast, consistent body of dramatically unambiguous evidence on its behalf. You've seen that even in cases like yours, in which "Bull" still struggles to avoid overt acknowledgement of the truth about the law, those struggles just emphasize that truth even more clearly and dramatically than when he makes his quieter (though just as revealing) admissions. Most of what I ask you to share with others is just more such evidence. But even at that, these things are all just practical proofs of what you can and should know by your own study of the law. THAT is all that matters. Surrender or agreement by the "Bulls" of the world is never the standard to which the dissemination of truth should be held hostage. FINALLY, LET ME POINT OUT that though you express uncertainty about the truth you are asked to share (and are urged to share, for your own good), in fact you do not suffer from any uncertainty. After all, you ARE sitting at the lunch counter. You HAVE parked yourself in the front of the bus. The reason you think "it isn't working for you" is because you HAVE taken the field, and flung down your gauntlet at "Bull's" feet. (Or you've slapped him across the face with it...) You simply have to recognize that in doing these brave and confident things, you have made the most overt and definitive expression of confidence in the correctness of your beliefs and actions that can be made. And all you really are being asked to do when asked to "spread the truth" is to share with others the understanding and the spirit that underlie the choices you have made for yourself.

By the end of the actual conversation I had with my originally-uncertain friend (which included only a little bit of what I have expanded above), and after learning what had actually happened in his case that had him discouraged, he recognized that in fact, "Bull" was making admissions to him right and left. They were just all in the form of "admissions by omission". This good fellow had no refunds to claim. He had simply become the target of some harassment which had spooked him, but which is revealed by its years-long but toothless bluster over what are actually very large sums of money to be back-door acknowledgements that the tax agency itself doesn't believe that he owes any tax (much as in this case, or this one). In fact, CtC is "working for him" like gangbusters, leaving hundreds of thousands of dollars in his pocket which the "ignorance tax" would have had him lose. And frankly, even if this warrior's situation was otherwise, CtC would STILL be "working for him" in the most important way possible. I'll let Matt Zelina explain:

The Best Inoculation Against "Fake News" Vulnerability Is A Thoroughly-Documented Demonstration Of Official Mendacity Nothing sharpens your "bs" detector like seeing just how deeply rotten the state can be in its efforts to keep you from knowing inconvenient truths. "FAKE NEWS" IS A CHALLENGE for a lot of folks, and not least because of what I call "the deferential disease". That is the conditioned, reflexive deference to pronouncements-- both explicit and implicit-- of people with positions of trust and honor. The effect of the disease can be hard to overcome, but there IS a way. The solution is to knock the luster off the shiny badges of office by which the naive are bedazzled. This can be done with a thoroughly-documented exposé of corruption by the same general class of office-holders, thus making it clear that people like these are never to be trusted in their pronouncements, no matter how exalted their office or celebrated their personage. TOWARD THAT LUSTER-TARNISHING END I am pleased to offer the following whistle-blow on what is now a fifteen-year-long criminal conspiracy of deception by federal executive branch officers and even a handful of federal judicial officers-- the most institutionally-exalted officials in the American pantheon. I want it to be entertaining, and I want it to communicate a point to readers who also happen to be journalists. Accordingly, you'll find that this exposé is written as a conversation between an excited young reporter brimming over with the right stuff and his grizzled, cynical editor (who, happily, still has a bit of fire in his own belly). I hope you'll enjoy it yourself. And I hope you will PLEASE share it around as widely as possible!! (Note: some of you may have seen an earlier version of what follows which was posted some months ago. If so, please re-read. Changes have been made, and this is a really important piece.) The Newsroom Conversation That Will Change America ...once it can be made to take place. THE ENERGETIC, AMBITIOUS YOUNG JOURNALIST hurries through the National News Desk Editor's office door, and without even waiting to be recognized, blurts out his news: "Chief, I've come across the story of a lifetime! You're not going to believe it! It turns out there's this guy in Michigan who does what might be called forensic legal research-- historical background, fine-print parsing, untangling "legalese", that sort of thing. Well, in '01 or '02, the guy decided to focus on the income tax. He ended up uncovering mind-boggling stuff, Chief! Ever since the guy published his findings in 2003, tens of thousands of people have been routinely paying ZERO in federal and state income tax, Social security tax, and Medicare tax every year. ZERO!! Instead, these people get complete refunds of everything they had paid in or had withheld from them!!" The young man now looks as though he's barely restraining himself from grabbing the editor's lapels and pulling him in to continue nose-to-nose... "This isn't some kind of "tax protestor" nonsense. These people have recovered $BILLIONS, Chief!! That's $BILLIONS, with a "B"! And not just from the feds but from all the state governments, too! And they've been doing it for almost 15 years!! Even when the IRS tries to argue with them, these people end up keeping all their money. Chief, THIS IS THE STORY OF THE CENTURY!!!" Breathing as though he had just run a marathon, the reporter straightens up, waiting expectantly for his boss's eyes to light up at this amazing news. The grizzled old editor let a little twitch elevate the corners of his mouth as he sits back in his chair and picks up his half-smoked stogie from the oversized, over-loaded ashtray that has been a fixture on his desk for as long as he's had the desk. Clamping the well-chewed root between his teeth, the Chief speaks around it to the younger man with a patient but amused air, affectionately using the young man's nickname. "Listen, Woody, I can see you think you've really found something. And I'm delighted to see that you can get so excited at what seems like a big scoop. I remember when I had that kind of enthusiasm. But son, think about it. What you think you've found can't possibly be true! Simple logic says so, 'cause as you yourself just said, if it were true, it'd be the story of the century, and believe me, I'd have heard about it." The reporter lets his own mouth twitch now, in turn. "Chief, of course that's just what you'd think. It's what anyone would think. And that's part of the story, Chief! That's exactly what EVERYONE has thought. And that why no one has ever checked this out before, and no one has ever reported it!! You think it can't be true because no one's ever reported it, when the only reason no one's ever reported it is because everyone assumes someone else would have covered it by now!!" Woody smiles openly now, knowing he's just gotten the "intrigued" wheels turning in his editor's head. He leans back in and shifts to a "higher gear" for the man across the desk, who was once known as a corruption fighter, and still longs for a good opportunity to fulfill that critical duty of the Fourth Estate. "There's another reason, too, Chief, and you're going to love it! Remember, what this guy has exposed amounts to the biggest government scam in American history. Think about it, millions of people paying as much as 40% of everything they earn in taxes they don't owe... for decades. So, the feds have been trying to suppress this guy's work for the whole 15 years they've been making all those refunds. It's a massive cover-up of a massive scandal." Woody parks himself on the corner of the chief's desk, and continues. "I've looked at some of the stuff that's been done. I've never even heard of anything like it. This is corruption that'll make your hair stand up! The biggest thing has been gimmicked "judicial" proceedings-- faked-up attacks on the researcher meant to make it look like "the courts" disagree with what he says about the tax. But when you examine the details, it turns out that the attacks actually confirm what the guy says. For instance, the first four attacks on the researcher-- efforts to accuse him of "promoting an abusive tax shelter" and using that as a pretext to enjoin publication of his first book-- failed, one after another. The DoJ itself was forced to move various courts to dismiss its suits. Next up was a phony "erroneous refund" lawsuit alleging that refunds made to the researcher and his wife were mistakes by an IRS which simply wasn't paying attention, the government lied its ass off about anything being a mistake. In fact, during that period this researcher was the subject of what might be the most intense attention by the IRS given to anybody in history, at the end of which it had to issue the refunds! In its pseudo-suit-- launched just before "tax day" a few years after issuing those first-ever-in history complete refunds, and when facing thousands of similar claims from people all over the country which it desperately wanted to discourage by a high-visibility attack on the researcher-- the government could only pretend to dispute the couple's claims to the refunded money. The best it could manage in this pretense was a fake IRS "examination report". At the same time, no government official was willing to make competing returns-- which are required by law if they think someone has filed "false" ones. And that's what the feds claimed they believed the researcher and his wife had done, in the fake lawsuit. Woody shakes his head in bemusement and the Chief, listening intently now, purses his lips. Woody continues: "That phony lawsuit ended with a "summary judgment" making phony assertions-- as so-called "found facts"-- about the content of the researcher's first book by a judge who later was forced to admit she had never read it (and who also had never seen or heard from a single witness)! The researcher was later attacked with phony charges of not believing the outcome of his own work (and thus filing "false returns"). Among much else, his jury was given as evidence the phony "found facts" from the phony lawsuit ruling, without the appearance of any witness who could reveal the true character of that lawsuit. The man's jury was also prevented from seeing actual statutory text central to the charge, and ordered to deliberate using prosecution-written substitutes for these statutes. But Chief, as bad as all of this is, it gets worse. When this "civil" assault and even the criminal assault didn't stop the researcher or his readers (or the tax agencies, who chunked out tens of thousands of complete refunds while the guy sat in prison for two years), the corrupt officials behind the bogus tax scheme he had exposed began beating up on his wife! This is real mafia-grade stuff, and you've got to see it to believe it." The Chief opens a desk drawer and pulls out a bottle of scotch and two tumblers. He pours a shot and a half in each and passes one to Woody, who takes a sip before continuing. "Like I was saying, the exposed tax schemers hadn't been able to shut the researcher up by attacking him directly. And the bogus legal attacks had done more harm than good, with the truth glaringly clear to anybody reading between the lines. So the schemers start in on the guy's wife in 2013. She was then 58; a housewife with a minor child and no legal knowledge at all. Plainly this mob-- the best word for them, I think-- figured to get at the researcher through his family, and maybe to start scaring his readers by a display of lawlessness and brutality, at the same time." Woody took another sip of his scotch. The "Chief" poured himself another stiff one, all without taking his eyes off his young reporter. "The assault on the wife reached back for its pretext to the phony civil lawsuit in 2006. As I told you earlier, the government had no grounds for saying that the couple owed it any money and weren't entitled to the refunds they had claimed. That's why the schemers had to resort to the fake "examination report". Well, at the same time, they tried to "work around" that problem by including in their summary judgment orders commanding the couple to replace their filed tax returns with new ones dictated by the government. These folks were ordered to say they believe their earnings qualify for the tax (something no one from the government would do, remember) even though they know perfectly well that this is not true. They were even told they had to conceal the fact that what they said was by government command. Of course the orders were never obeyed-- what American would do such a thing? Well, this gave the schemers the pretext they needed, as long as they were willing to get really corrupt. And they were. These thugs engineered (or at least, produced) an indictment of the wife for "criminal contempt of court". The judge who got her case was a colleague of the one who had presided over the civil suit and had been the judge in one of the early failed attacks on the researcher himself. She brushed aside all motions to dismiss, even despite the obvious First Amendment problems with orders dictating the content of sworn statements. The case first went to trial in October of 2013 with the wife speaking for herself, and listen to this, Chief-- because of the obvious illegality of the orders involved in the charge, the judge instructed the jury, at the government's request, that the unconstitutionality or unlawfulness of the orders is not a defense to the charge!! Can you believe the brazenness of this corruption?! But glory be, this housewife, up against a team of specialist shark prosecutors flown in from Washington and a co-opted judge, ended that first trial with a hung jury! Still, they came back at her again, because defending their bogus tax scheme is that important to these corrupt officials. In the second trial, in July of 2014, the wife wasn't even allowed to complete her opening statement. She was interrupted constantly throughout her examination of witnesses by judge and prosecutors, kept from reading Supreme Court rulings on speech rights to the jury, had the jury's view of her tainted by lies from both the prosecutor and the judge about the government's obligation to produce competing returns I mentioned earlier and had an outright evidence fraud perpetrated against her just before closing arguments, during which she was again interrupted constantly. After the jury was sequestered for deliberations, the judge went into the jury room by herself. No one knows what got said, but after all that, and with the "unconstitutionality or unlawfulness of the order not a defense" instruction, the jury came back with a guilty verdict this time." Without even being aware of it, Woody and the "Chief" both have expressions of revulsion on their faces. Woody swallows hard, and then continues. "So, the judge denies all post-trial relief out of hand, and sentences the wife to a remarkably harsh 18 months on this contempt charge. Thrown into the sentence is an order that when she gets out of prison, she must make the false statements ordered in the civil lawsuit within 60 days or face more time. The Sixth Circuit "hears" the wife's appeal, but, wait for it... it rules that it doesn't have to make a decision on the Constitutional problems with the orders over which she was convicted, and refuses to do so. It even argues in its ruling that "lawful" is not an element of a criminal contempt charge, despite the language of the statute, which only criminalizes "Disobedience or resistance to [a court's] lawful writ, process, order, rule, decree, or command." A year after she gets out, the Washington shark who was the lead prosecutor in her trials (that's the one who did the lying about the competing government return mandate and also the evidence fraud) moves the court to have the wife re-imprisoned. The pretext is her continued refusal to make the false returns. The government wanted those false returns really badly. Without them, the civil trial thing from way back in 2006 based solely on that fake "examination report" we looked at earlier remains without even the appearance of a leg to stand on, and it's the phony summary judgment in that case that forms the basis for every attack on both the researcher and his wife since then. What a tangled, ugly web, eh, Chief?" The Chief shakes his head in astonishment, and Woody sits back and changes gears. "Here's the real kicker, Chief. All the while that all of this has been going on, it's obvious that every bit of it is fraudulent even without looking at the "legal" details, because since 2003 those refunds have kept going out, week after week, month after month, year after year!" Woody steps around and grabs the editor's keyboard, quickly tapping. "Look at this one, Chief, just as an example. More than $66K back from the feds, with $11K just in interest! Look at the date on the check. It got cut in August of 2010, just after the researcher went to prison that June for letting the cat out of the bag! In fact, look at the same guy's Arizona refund for the same year right below, actually issued in June! Look at this seven year struggle by by the IRS to browbeat one of the guy's readers into caving on what they "propose" to be a $147K tax liability for 2008, before finally just fading away last year-- all while the researcher was imprisoned for telling this guy what is obviously the truth, and all through the beating up on the researcher's wife. Look at this year-and-a-half+ effort to do the same to a doctor during a chunk of that same period-- claiming he owed more than $120K, before finally admitting the truth and issuing this! Look at this one from July of 2018, Chief. A nice, fat check for more than $97K, with $980 in interest from the delay while the IRS challenged the claim! Hundreds of thousands of checks and notices, totaling billions of dollars, Chief! And all before, during and after every one of these fake legal actions against the guy who spilled the beans and then the beating up on his wife! In fact, the guy's got a funny little image on

Perfect, right? We're supposed to think all these refunds, year after year, are just the biggest, most sustained bureaucratic screw-up in world history (and to do so, we're supposed to overlook those focused efforts to keep the scam alive that we just looked at, which plainly are no accidents)! The IRS even maintains "troll" sites on the internet to spread bogus tales of people getting penalized for making these filings, and fake pages on its own site, in order to prop up the ridiculous idea that these refunds are just hundreds of thousands of constant, identical mistakes by different IRS offices and state tax agencies around the country! Let's face it. This story has "biggest in history" written all over it! WE'VE GOT TO GET IT OUT THERE, CHIEF!!" Woody is SO right! We all must pray that this story gets out there, at long last. We must pray that some journalist with a big voice sees this story. We must pray that this big-voice journalist then reaches deep inside and finds a big pair. We must pray that this pair is big enough to juice him (or her) into putting the public interest in front of his (or her) fear of retribution for showing the American people that officials lie like cheap rugs when it suits them, and more, for helping the American people learn how to defund the out-of-control state that's been doing all that lying. Pray hard for these good things, but more, work hard for them. The craziness of the neo-con nutcases in Washington is starting to generate its predictable blowback, but on a much more dangerous scale than in the recent past. Based on relentless hostile rhetoric and steady efforts at military encirclement the Russian Federation Armed Forces Command has concluded that the United States intends to launch a pre-emptive nuclear attack on Russia. While this perception continues to be fed, the risk of a prophylactic Russian first strike exists and grows more perilous. The persistent, recently-escalated, plainly unfounded and deliberately provocative saber-rattling against Iran-- a long-time close ally and buffer-state of Russia's, the destabilization or regime-change within which would be another substantial threat factor-- has magnified the intensity of the peril. Hey, Have We Got Any State Workers (Or Retirees) Out There? ...'cause you folks have an interesting opportunity to make an important point (and maybe some important coin...). ARTICLE 1, Section 10, Clause 1 of the United States Constitution says: "No State shall ... make any thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payments of Debts;" "Tender" is defined thusly: Tender: A tender is an offer to do or perform an act which the party offering, is bound to perform to the party to whom the offer is made. Bouvier's Law Dictionary (6th Edition). In a literal sense, the word is equivalent to the word "offer". 6 Eng. Rul. Cas. 589. Ballentine's Law Dictionary (3rd Edition). As archaic and outré as it may seem, then, per the plain language of Art. 1, Sec. 10, Cl. 1 and the plain meaning of "tender" in that context, it is unconstitutional for a state which owes anyone a debt to tender (offer) anything but gold and silver coin in payment. SO... THOSE OF YOU who are creditors of any state could make interesting things happen by insisting on proper payment of each of the dollars to which you are entitled in gold or silver. Just to make clear what exactly this means, under current U.S. law, the following denominations are defined: (7) A fifty dollar gold coin that is 32.7 millimeters in diameter, weighs 33.931 grams, and contains one troy ounce of fine gold. (8) A twenty-five dollar gold coin that is 27.0 millimeters in diameter, weighs 16.966 grams, and contains one-half troy ounce of fine gold. (9) A ten dollar gold coin that is 22.0 millimeters in diameter, weighs 8.483 grams, and contains one-fourth troy ounce of fine gold. (10) A five dollar gold coin that is 16.5 millimeters in diameter, weighs 3.393 grams, and contains one-tenth troy ounce of fine gold. (11) A $50 gold coin that is of an appropriate size and thickness, as determined by the Secretary, weighs 1 ounce, and contains 99.99 percent pure gold. Silver dollars: (1) are 40.6 millimeters in diameter and weigh 31.103 grams; (2) contain .999 fine silver; (3) have a design— (A) symbolic of Liberty on the obverse side; and (B) of an eagle on the reverse side; (4) have inscriptions of the year of minting or issuance, and the words “Liberty”, “In God We Trust”, “United States of America”, “1 Oz. Fine Silver”, “E Pluribus Unum”, and “One Dollar”; and (5) have reeded edges. What this means is that anyone who is owed, say, $500 as a paycheck or pension payment is entitled to 500 ounces of fine silver (currently worth ~7,740 federal reserve notes (FRNs)). If paid in gold the payment would be a minimum of 10 ounces of fine gold (currently worth ~12,142 FRNs). I say "minimum" in regard to the gold payment because the $5 piece is underweighted by comparison to the other denominations and would doubtless be the manner in which payment was made, if made in gold at all. But I think it safe to say that the choice by the states would always be silver. I CAN IMAGINE THE LIKELIHOOD of an argument being raised that a creditor in some way agreed to accept FRNs in payment of the debt. But in my mind, at least, that really wouldn't matter. The state wasn't allowed to impose any such agreement. To do so would be, after all, to tender (offer) some thing other than gold and silver in payment of debts: "We want you to come work for us (or, "You're hired, Mr. Smith!") but we're only offering (or, "you have to accept our offer of only") FRNs in payment of what we will owe you for your efforts." This is (and was) prohibited, and the fact that the tender was made in advance doesn't change anything. In fact, it magnifies the crime, being a plain attempt to evade the Constitutional prescription while violating the Constitutional proscription. SO, IS ANYONE UP for some virtuous fun with which to liven up those golden years (and make them truly golden)? Let me know what happens! *** NOTE: There is a law (31 U.S.C. § 5118) by which the federal government withdraws its consent to be obliged to pay out something other than FRNs against its debts. But this applies only to the federal government, in harmony with Art. 1, Sec. 10, Cl. 1 of the U.S. Constitution. And there is a law (31 U.S.C. § 5103) by which the federal government declares that it is bound to accept FRNs as payments for any debts owed to it. But there is no law requiring anyone OTHER than the feds to accept FRNs in payment of debts. (Though written in a somewhat different context, see the second part of this document for more on these provisions. Are You Having Trouble Spreading The Word? SKEPTICISM (SOMETIMES INVOKED BY FEAR) IS TO BE EXPECTED when you're trying to explain to someone that everything they've been encouraged their whole lives to believe about something as entrenched and significant as the income tax is basically nonsense. So here's a way to help cut through the resistance: Ask your listener how he or she would react if you were to show an announcement from the Commissioner of Internal Revenue admitting that the tax doesn't apply to the earnings of most Americans and is misapplied most of the time because people don't understand how it works? Or how about if you showed a ruling from the Supreme Court saying the same? Now you just have to explain that you're going to show exactly those things-- but because the state really doesn't want people to know this, these things haven't been said quite as forthrightly as we would all wish. It's going to take a bit more work to take these admissions in than is sufficient for just reading a press release. But it'll be worth the effort... *****

***** About The Author Pete Hendrickson is possibly the most effective lawyer in history, even while never having set foot in a law school, nor ever being a card-carrying member of "the bar". He is the first American in history to secure a complete refund of Social Security and Medicare ‘contributions’ withheld from his earnings (along with all other property taken for federal taxes); further, since 2003 students of his legal analyses and arguments in ‘Cracking the Code- The Fascinating Truth About Taxation In America’’ (CtC), and its sequel, 'Was Grandpa Really a Moron?' have been routinely retaining and recovering billions of dollars which otherwise-- wrongly, but as a matter of course-- would have gone to federal or state government treasuries. This despite concerted efforts by government to suppress his work, and in some cases vigorously oppose the claims by his students. Hendrickson is also a widely-read essayist on matters of politics, public policy and law; many of these works are collected in his second book, ‘Upholding the Law And Other Observations’. He is a member of Mensa; an award-winning artist; and has paid his dues as a youth soccer coach. He is a long-time political activist as well, and has served as co-chair and platform convention delegate of Michigan’s largest county Libertarian Party organization; as a consultant to the National Right to Work Foundation and Citizens for a Sound Economy; as a member of the Heartland Institute; and as a member of the International Society for Individual Liberty. He is a frequent radio-show guest on stations across the country. Hendrickson's business career has included nearly a decade-and-a-half at the leading edge of the renewable-energy industry, both as Director of Purchasing and Materials Management and member of the R&D board at Starpak Energy Systems, the mid-west's then-largest solar heating and energy-recovery-and re-utilization company; and as founder and president of AFJ Inc., a high-efficiency lighting design, manufacture and installation firm. Beginning in the mid-1990s and continuing for the twelve years before his present full-time focus on the restoration of the rule of law in America, Hendrickson directed purchasing activities for the $84 million-a-year multi-family-housing division of the Farmington Hills, Michigan branch of Edward Rose and Sons, with responsibility for 18,000+ apartments, direct supervision of 35 technicians and agents, and incidental authority over several hundred divisional workers. He also ran the division's 10 cable television earth-station and distribution systems in four states, and designed and administered the company's website. On rather the other end of the spectrum, amidst these more mundane pursuits Hendrickson co-founded and was the primary creative force behind a small board- and card-game company that enjoyed a modest success for several years. Hendrickson makes his home in southeast Michigan, with his wife and two children.
