HEY, People! Please don't just
read what I post here (or anywhere), and nod your head sagely or

to affirm your sense of things. I post in order to equip you with
perspectives and arguments with which to
educate others, and in the
expectation that you will forward my posts to other people (or

The CDC Finally Admits The
Superiority Of Naturally-Acquired Immunity
...but still tries to defend "vaccines" whose own
creators never said would convey immunity from anything.
A REPORT ISSUED BY THE CDC ON JANUARY 19, 2022
admits that those who are unvaccinated but have been
previously exposed to C19 have 6 times greater
immunity (which we will call naturally-acquired
immunity, or NAI) than those who are "fully
vaccinated". The admission is welcome, but the
corrupt agency can't help but insert a few flies
into the ointment in service to the evolving needs
of its defensive narrative.
The structure of the report is contrived to suggest that this NAI superiority
only became true when the "Delta variant" emerged.
However, this is a mere pretense meant to shore up the
false notion that the "vaccines" had initial value
and weren't just tools in service to
special-interest agendas from the jump. (See the
rebuttal of this falsehood
in
the fifth section of this multi-part article--
the one featuring the Sotomayor meme.)
The deception lies in the report basing
its conclusions on RT-PCR test results. The outcome
from these "tests" (also known as Nucleic Acid
Amplification Tests) are treated in the report as
"laboratory confirmation" of infection. ("Rapid
antigen tests" are also covered by the same label,
and referenced in the report, but had not been in
widespread use during the study period. Further,
RATs are also
prone to false positives with rates of up to 42%
having been found.)
But RT-PCR tests
are
incapable of reliably indicating infection. They
are also notorious for sky-high false-positivity (a
fact discussed in some depth in
this
earlier article about a late October, 2021
effort by the CDC to argue the opposite of what is
being admitted in this new study). This glitch
places many of the subjects being considered in the
report into the "previously infected" category who
really hadn't been.
Here is the description of the relevant
test parameters:
Persons were classified based on
whether they had had a laboratory-confirmed
SARS-CoV-2 infection by March 1, 2021 (i.e.,
previous COVID-19 diagnosis)§; had received at least
the primary COVID-19 vaccination series¶ by May 16,
2021; had a previous COVID-19 diagnosis and were
fully vaccinated**; or had neither received a
previous COVID-19 diagnosis by March 1 nor received
a first COVID-19 vaccine dose by the end of the
analysis period. The size of the unvaccinated group
without a previous diagnosis was derived by
subtracting the observed groups from U.S. Census
estimates.
Garbage in, garbage out. Since
there is no way of knowing that the cohort
classified as having been previously infected ever
really were, there is no way of reliably concluding
that even a single one of this cohort ever
contracted the disease subsequently (that is, after
having already had it once and therefore having
NAI).
OF COURSE, NAI IS superior to
whatever protection may be conveyed by the so-called
"vaccines" (if any)-- everything we know and have
observed for hundreds of years about the immune
system (and vaccination, real or so-called) makes
this clear. Many real studies of NAI in the C19
context confirm that certainty (see
two here, for instance). It is only this
contrived CDC study that fails to offer a convincing
confirmation of this simple fact.
Now that its admission about NAIs has
finally been made, though, maybe the agency's future
studies will offer REAL results. Getting them is
simple: Do antibody tests on people who have never
had the "vaccine". Then track those whose tests
reveal C19 antibodies for future infection (using a
proper diagnostic tool) against a similar group of
"vaccinated" individuals. See how many get
sick from within each group.
Of course, those who have never
embraced the injection will be far more frequently
and meaningfully exposed to the virus, since they
will not be cowering away from human contact as do
the hysterics. But that's ok. The NAI beneficiaries
will still have better outcomes, and the difference
in conditions will just emphasize the point.
***
BTW, should we not all be celebrating
every new case of "omicron" infection? After all,
each such case represents another person now fully,
durably and robustly immunized against C19-- in any
form or variant in which it might appear. Every such
person (and they are already in the many millions,
to hear the pearl-clutching community hyperventilate
about it) adds to
the
hundreds of millions previously infected since early
2020 on our march to herd immunity.
It's A Good Time To Remember
That In The End, It's All On Us
In large part,
CtC is about learning to say "NO!" and being
prepared to stick to your guns. This is true across
the board, not just as regards the income tax.
I'VE BEEN SPENDING A LOT OF TIME
sorting through the vast tonnage of papers that have
accumulated over the 18 years and counting since
writing
CtC, and many of those that came before that
inflection point, also. It's been a major journey
for me.
Sometimes it has been very painful,
such as when dealing with the records of the
prosecutorial and judicial assaults upon me and
Doreen. Sometimes it has been very uplifting, as
when going through the many thousands of
CtC-educated and
CtC-inspired victories shared with me by
readers, and the many expressions of support and
companionship with which I have been blessed by so
many of you during the afore-mentioned assaults (for
which I have always been, and will always be,
enormously grateful).
IN THE COURSE OF THIS EXERCISE, I have
unearthed many things long-forgotten-- some
well-forgotten. For instance, I have been reminded
of the faintness of heart I used to encounter during
the sporadic instances of well-publicized, focused
institutional hostility to my work over the years (a
list of some of which can be found here).
At those times I would hear from many
folks about their successful
CtC-educated claims, proudly or gratefully
reported to me, but with requests to keep the happy
facts to myself. "I want to play it safe" would be
the reason given, based on the notion that standing
up and bearing witness to the world would invite
corrupt adverse attention and harm.
The idea, in short, was that it is
better to hunker down and quietly enjoy the benefits
of
CtC's liberating information even if that
silence means denying energy to the spread of that
information and its potential generation of a
paradigm-shifting momentum by which all "hunkering
down" would become unnecessary.
My response to hearing from such
not-quite-warriors was always the same: "Playing it
safe" by silence is just conceding the field to the
enemy, meaning the harm you fear will come upon a
bit more slowly, perhaps, but with way more
certainty. By "playing it safe" you relinquish your
arms and watch your adversary grow in strength while
you shrink. It is what Patrick Henry spoke of in his
powerful speech calling his Virginia countrymen to
arms in 1775:
They tell us, sir, that we are weak;
unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But
when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week,
or the next year? Will it be when we are totally
disarmed, and when a British guard shall be
stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength
by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the
means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on
our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope,
until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
Sir, we are not weak if we make a proper use of
those means which the God of nature hath placed in
our power.
I'm sorry to say that my admonitions
rarely yielded positive results. It seems those who
have chosen to be timid are generally irredeemably
so, and I have had to content myself with the milder
satisfaction of knowing that at least these
not-quite-warriors are acting to reduce Leviathan's
resources, if not his public stature and influence.
HAPPILY, THOUGH, much more often my
correspondents would insist on
their victories being prominently displayed for
all to see, and as quickly as possible. I have
always appreciated these folks more than they will
ever know, and have done my best to accommodate
these requests (although due to victories submitted
too long after they have occurred, problems with the
quality of documentation submitted by
less-than-computer-literate warriors, there being only one of me and always
so much to do, and for other reasons I have never been able to post
anywhere near all the victories shared with me...).
These happy, loud and proud warriors
bring me to my point, often made, but never often
enough: We are each of us responsible for the
circumstances in which we find ourselves. This is
not to say that we can control what others may do,
nor even what others may do to us. But insofar as we
are actors at all, in our own lives and in our
interactions with others, we have DO have agency,
like it or not, and we exercise it either on behalf
of our interests or against them. there are no other
choices-- no "neutral" option.
In all things involving what is done to
you, or with you, you can say "yes", or you can say
"no", and silence IS one of those two, like it or
not.
Right now we are beginning the third
year of a massive campaign of conquest over what has
been known as Western Civilization-- a structure of
society based on individualism, property rights,
personal autonomy, and government by consent and
with strict limits of scope and permitted practices.
Most of you reading these words probably recognize
this assault, and would characterize it as I do here
(and I would like to hear from you reassuring me
that I have this right...).
Right now, we are all called upon--
person by person, as individuals-- to continue to
silently say "yes" or to begin to meaningfully say
"no" to this assault. There are many ways to do the
latter, and I hope everyone does them all, from
denouncing as an abuser every parent seen with a
masked child to refusing buy-in to
the current gaslighting effort on behalf of making
the current state of affairs permanent.
Most importantly (because I think that
overall it is the most effective approach, as well
as the only moral course to take in a decision that
is forced upon all of us every year), I encourage
everyone to
shrink Leviathan-- that is, to shrink the
chief mechanism and facilitator by which the evils
we oppose are implemented.
Now is the time to stop "playing it
safe" on that front, if ever there is to be one, and
the time to vigorously encourage others to do the
same.
I WANT TO SHARE TWO ARTIFACTS to close
out this rambling rumination. Both were discovered
during my spelunking expedition through old
documents.
The first is something I found in a box
going back to the 2010-2012 period in which I was
imprisoned for teaching the truth about the tax
which Leviathan finds so inconvenient. It is an
expression of a
CtC-educated American's recognition of his
responsibility and fidelity to his duty in an area
well-outside the subject of the income tax, but well
within that of good citizenship overall. I know
everyone will find very uplifting--
see
it here.
THE SECOND ARTIFACT is something sent
to me years ago by the excellent
Greg Sutton.
Greg is a truly focused
CtC warrior whose research contributions I have
been very pleased to feature often on these pages
and elsewhere.
Greg has been particularly diligent in
digging through old writings on, or related to, the
income tax. In this case, Greg came across a very
nice description of the "capitation"
administered in 18th century France, in a pre-16th Amendment text
by
Edwin Seligman, 'The Income Tax-- A Study Of The
History, Theory And Practice of Income Taxation At
Home And Abroad'.
Seligman was an enthusiast for the
income tax, and wrote on the subject extensively.
Sometimes usefully, too, even though he tended
toward Marxist views and helped promote the
misunderstanding of the tax that was embraced by
statist interests during the 1940s.
Perhaps due to his unfortunate
political agenda, Seligman was always prone to use
the term "income" in his work without taking care to
distinguish between the tax-relevant legal term and
the common-usage word of the same spelling and
pronunciation. The excerpt you are about to read,
discussing the application of a tax to
commonly-defined income long before the 1862
creation of America's specialized "income" excise is
no exception.
But taking that quirk into account,
Seligman's description of the "capitation" known to
the Founders and Framers, and prohibited by them to
the United States without apportionment in
still-standing Constitutional provisions, is very
useful indeed.
See Seligman's recital here.
Share these all, everywhere you can. Be your most
creative self in sending and "selling" these links. Do memes; make
gifs; respond to everything in the news that would be or have been
better had the state been small, or if Americans kept their money
for their own uses.
If you pay attention to the news and train yourself to
apply these perspectives, you will see a dozen things of which you
can make use in awakening other Americans to the virtues of having
the income tax correctly administered. Please, for my sake, for your
own sake, for the sake of your children and their future, make that
use.

Not Letting This "Crisis" Go To Waste...
...an important action item opportunity.
FRIENDS, THE SPORADIC BITS OF EASING of the despotic measures to
which most of the country has been subjected this year should not be
allowed to bleed off the head of steam you probably had been developing.
The offenses happened, and they're far from over. Stay hot.
And while you are all warmed up, and while others, if
they're smart, are just as hot, I'd like you to send an email (and
Facebook post, or whatever) with the following content to everyone you
can (with a request that they pass it along, in turn):
[Name], over the last several months you've
watched as over-fed state power has been used to literally destroy
classical Western civilization and impose a new despotic paradigm. No
dissent or debate permitted-- no permission or agreement sought.
YOU KNOW where this will end up if the arrogant
state power being used to make this happen isn't radically diminished in
size, influence, resources and popular support, and exposed as an
opportunistic exploiter of legal ignorance (an ignorance which it has
been nurturing in the average mind for decades).
Those things having not yet happened, you
should be quaking in your boots-- and you probably are.
Isn't it time-- and past time-- for you to
begin helping to make those desperately-needed defensive changes take
place? There is only one way these things can happen short of a
who-knows-what we'll-end-up-with explosion of violence. I'm going to
show it to you.
When you're done with that reading, you'll know
what to do next.
BTW, REMEMBER, ALSO, THAT EVERY AMERICAN has lately been given a stark lesson in the fact
that government officials at all levels will lie to you and violate the
law without batting an eye. They will do so any time it serves their agenda, and
you don't call them out for it.
If you know anyone who has been persisting in denial on the
truth about the income tax, you know such nonsense is usually be
grounded in some version or another of, "That can't be true..." or "They
would never do something like that...". Now's the time to put a pin in
that delusional bubble.
As the C19 hoax has starkly shown, "that" certainly CAN be true, and they
certainly WOULD do something
like that.
Use this evidence in all your
outreach efforts.
"It is not the function of our Government to keep the
citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to
keep the Government from falling into error."
-United States Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson
(Deceitful efforts to discourage Americans from
learning the truth about the "income tax")
FOR ALL THE YEARS SINCE 2003 when
CtC was first published, the government has engaged in a
concerted effort to frighten people away from its truths. This
effort involves official government websites and press releases
touting an occasional court ruling that appears to be at odds
with some
CtC-revelation (but without details sufficient to expose the
real substance of the ruling)--
and sometimes even more mendacious behavior.
Are the presentations and
resources offered on this site and in my other work of any value to you?
Tim Kendrick has posted
a video
on YouTube regarding donations. I didn't know what to do about
it to begin with; I don't do what I do intending for anyone to
feel obligated in any way.
But of course, no one IS obligated. I will continue
to make my work freely-available here, and in my books for only
the cost of a cheap paperback.
Thus, even though I post it here below, Tim's very
thoughtful personal resolution and encouragement to others is
just an invitation for consideration by those who may not be
conscious of the fact that I can't do what I do without support.
No one is to feel any pressure from it; if it moves anyone to
act let it be solely because it seems right.
All-in-all, just be the sort of person for others
that you would go to yourself for trustworthy leadership.
Leadership is a challenge. But it's not
complicated, and you can do it.

Are You Having Trouble Spreading The
Word?
SKEPTICISM (SOMETIMES INVOKED BY FEAR) IS TO BE
EXPECTED when you're trying to explain to someone that
everything they've been encouraged their whole lives to
believe about something as entrenched and significant as the
income tax is basically nonsense. So here's a way to help
cut through the resistance:
Ask your listener how he or she would react if
you were to show an announcement from the Commissioner of
Internal Revenue admitting that the tax doesn't apply to the
earnings of most Americans and is misapplied most of the
time because people don't understand how it works? Or how
about if you showed a ruling from the Supreme Court saying
the same?
Now you just have to explain that
you're going to show exactly those things-- but because
the state really doesn't want people to know this, these
things haven't been said quite as forthrightly as we would
all wish. It's going to take a bit more work to take these
admissions in than is sufficient for just reading a press
release. But it'll be worth the effort...
IF YOU'RE NOT SPREADING THIS LINK with every bit of
energy you can, to school libraries, homeschool
families and community groups, your neighbors, your
family members, your pastors and
co-congregationalists, journalists, lawyers, CPAs,
members of congress, tax-agency workers, Wikipedia,
Anonymous, WikiLeaks, the Tax Foundation, everyone
in the "tax honesty" movement, the 9/11 truth
movement, other activist movements and everyone
else,
you have only yourself to blame for your
troubles with the tax, and a whole lot else of which
you might complain. It's on you.
WRITE A NICE, FRIENDLY AND BRIEF introductory note
explaining what will be seen at the link-- cryptic
is bad; excited is good-- and then send this WMI

Remember: Real Americans don't accommodate fog, lies and a sliding scale of
adherence to the rule of law. Real American men and women stand up for the
truth and the law, come what may, knowing that it is only by setting the bar
at the top and enforcing it, come what may, that liberties are secured.

"In a time of
universal deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary

Former Vice President Dick Cheney visited the House of
Representatives yesterday. He and his daughter Liz were the only two Republicans
present at a moment of silence commemorating the events of last January 6th. It
was a touching scene, which perfectly described why the surviving anti-Trump
Uniparty of the political mainstream is at least as much of a threat to
democracy as the “insurrectionists” they never stop wailing about.
In a story entitled “Dick
Cheney returns to the House and receives a warm welcome...from
Democrats,” the Washington Post wrote that “Democrats put aside
their fierce and lasting policy divides with the Cheneys to thank them
for condemning the attack and Trump’s continued effort to undermine the
2020 presidential election results with his false claims of fraud.
I don’t mean to understate the seriousness of
January 6th, even though it’s been absurdly misreported for over a year
now. No one from a country where these things actually happen could
mistake 1/6 for “a
coup .” In the real version, the mob doesn’t take selfies and blaze
doobies after seizing the palace, and the would-be dictator doesn’t
spend 187 minutes snacking and watching Fox before tweeting “go
home.” Instead, he works the phones nonstop to rally precinct chiefs,
generals, and airport officials to the cause, because a coup is a real
attempt to seize power. Britannica
says the
“chief prerequisite for a coup is control of all or part of the armed
forces, the police, and other military elements.” We saw none of that on
January 6th, but it’s become journalistic requirement to use either
“coup” or “insurrection” in describing it:
The endless hyperventilating efforts to
describe January 6th as a disaster on the order of Pearl Harbor or even
9/11 has been awesome to behold. Huffington Post nitwit S.V. Date even
called it “1,000
percent worse” than 9/11, moving the decimal point over on the
famous Team America joke*:
The panic inspired convulsions across politics
and the media. Ted Cruz made a plea for mainstream recognition by
denouncing 1/6 as a “violent terrorist attack” before
cowering in retreat on Tucker Carlson Tonight, in the process
pantsing himself with audiences in all directions. Meanwhile, podcaster
Eric Lendrum, on the pro-Trump site American Greatness, devised the
impressively crazy syllogism that because the mainstream caricature of
Trump supporters is so incorrect, conservatives
should therefore embrace it: “If their aim is to make January 6
their Reichstag Fire, then we should go forward celebrating the events
of that day as our Storming of the Bastille.”
It was no heroic storming of the Bastille.
January 6th was a massive LARP that got out of hand. Trump has been
around long enough for us to know his pattern as a serial line-crosser.
Like a comedian, he’s always trying out new material, and if he gets the
right reaction, he comes back with a bigger delivery next time. January
6th was Trump dipping a toe in the lake of strongman politics. The
reason it wasn’t worse is because Trump has also been constantly
mislabeled as
a Hitler,
Stalin, or
Pinochet. The man has no attention span, no interest in planning or
strategy, and most importantly, no ability to maintain relationships
with the type of people who do have those qualities (like Steve Bannon).
Even if he wanted to overturn “democracy itself” — I don’t believe he
does, but let’s say — Trump has proven over and over he lacks the
qualities a politician would need to make that happen.
Which brings us back to Cheney. All those
things Trump is rumored to be, Dick Cheney actually is. That’s why it’s
so significant that he appeared on the floor of the House yesterday to
be slobbered over by the Adam Schiffs and Nancy Pelosis of the world.
Dick Cheney did more to destroy democracy in ten minutes of his Vice
Presidency than Donald Trump did in four years.
Seeing leading Democrats nuzzling the man
George Bush called “Iron
Ass” summed up the essential problem of the ordinary person trying
to find a political home in this landscape. Even if you find the Trump
phenomenon troubling, his opposition is not only authoritarian, but
organized and armed with the intellectual tools to understand and
appreciate how the technological elimination of democracy might be
achieved in the 21st century.
We’re living through a
period where an unpleasantly likely outcome for the
ordinary American is the invocation of emergency
powers to eliminate basic rights. From which side is
that threat most likely to come? The pattern during
Trump’s presidency was hyping the Russian menace to
justify increased surveillance and censorship.
Russia has since been switched out in favor of two
new emergency bugbears. The first is the rise of
“domestic terrorism,” and if you don’t think
Cheney-style democracy-canceling is on the minds of
officials heading into the next presidential
election, you haven’t been reading the growing pile
of articles quoting military types
advertising their preparations for counter-coup
in 2024.
The second emergency of
course is the pandemic, which ought to have been
exhibit A in Trump’s uninterest in being a dictator
— he could have legally invoked all sorts of powers
and did not. Instead, it’s become part of a widening
propaganda campaign designed to enlist the wine-cave
MSNBC set behind full-blown Big Brother governance.
Remember our Health and Human Services Secretary
saying last summer, in advance of a “door-to-door”
campaign that was supposedly about urging people
toward the jab, that “it
absolutely is the government’s business” to know
who’s vaccinated and who isn’t? Or, have you noticed
the total lack of interest among pundits and
politicians in distinguishing between anti-vaxxers
and people who merely have anti-mandate or
anti-passport attitudes? It’s all the same
obstructionism to them.
Where have we seen this
style of intentional line-blurring to justify the
expansion of executive authority before? From
Cheney, who took emergency politics to places even a
sober Joe McCarthy could never have dreamed of. On
the pretense that new powers were needed to combat
the sweeping global threat whose existence 9/11
supposedly proved, Cheney institutionalized
executive assassination, torture, mass surveillance,
secret prisons, secret budgeting, and the wholesale
elimination of congressional oversight over most of
his program, turning the world into what one
Pentagon adviser who talked to Seymour Hersh back in
the day called a “global
free-fire zone.”
It was under Cheney’s watch
that we turned into a country that snatched people
off the streets all over the world, put them in
indefinite detention in an archipelago of secret
hell-holes, threatened to rape their family members,
and resorted to techniques like “rectal feeding” so
often that one Guantanamo Bay prisoner had to
bring a special pillow to sit in court.
The core principle of
Cheney’s politics was protecting his new
bureaucracies of murder and open-ended detention
from legal challenge. That meant creating structures
that were legally invisible. Are you on a watch
list? Has the FBI sent out a National Security
Letter to your telecom provider? Have you been
approved for “lethal action” and put on the kill
list? Courts repeatedly declined to listen to
complainants with such questions because the secrecy
of the programs made it difficult or impossible to
prove they had a cause of action, a perfect
Catch-22.
Even members of congress
were often unable to find out about whole ranges of
programs unless an accident like the Edward Snowden
revelations came their way. Cheney built a
government inside a government that simply did not
recognize the authority of the other branches. It’s
no accident this person is now receiving a “warm
welcome” from Democrats because that party has for
years now been openly worshipful of his
secret-hammer model of executive rule, which
expanded to a conspicuous degree after he left
office.
"There is no safety for honest men but by believing all
possible evil of evil men."
-Edmund Burke
A GREAT PIECE BY MATT TAIBBI, displaying his signature
cut-to-the-chase insightfulness and willingness to speak plainly with no
punches held! My only criticism is his failure to recognize, or at least
mention, that not only do "professionals" make errors, as Taibbi
observes, but sometimes they get it wrong on purpose, in service to
their own agenda.
The bottom-line point that
"professionals" are not trustworthy-- certainly not
so much as to leave unrestrained and un-reviewed
decision-making in their hands-- is the same either
way, whether it is embraced in recognition of
"professionals" (and "technocrats") lack of perfect
competence or in recognition of their venality (if
not
their sociopathy). But recognizing both
considerations matters.
It is important that we impose
accountability when bad things are done
deliberately. That's the only way to discourage such
behavior in the future, and help ensure that if we
fail to ride herd closely at all times, we are more
likely to risk only the hazards of having chosen
public servants or advisers who are not up to the
job, and not the much greater danger of
victimization by villains.
OF COURSE, THE BEST OPTION is to
be spared either hazard-- incompetence or villainy--
by denying the "professionals" of whom Taibbi speaks
the power with which they can do harm in the first
place. Happily, the Founders and Framers have
equipped us to do so.
Those wise and well-educated men-- knowing,
as they did, that all governments inevitably lurch
toward the accretion of power unto themselves and
the corruption which accompanies all accretions of
state power-- pre-emptively put into place a solution.
That solution is baked into the Constitutional cake
and ready to the hand of individual Americans,
entirely bypassing all supervision or approval of
the "professionals".
The only requirements to implement that solution are eyes
with which to see the problem, reasoning with which to recognize the
truth and rightness of the solution, and courage, confidence and clarity
of mind enough to pull the trigger in the face of the natural and
predictable effort of the targeted rogue state to discourage doing so.

Then help others do so, as well.
EVEN AS ARDENT A STATIST as Abraham
Lincoln, in announcing his willingness to burn the Southern states to the ground in order to
keep them paying the tariff for the benefit of Northern interests in
his first inaugural address on March 4, 1861, paid at least lip
service to the Founders design of leaving control over the fuel
available to feed the fires Washington wants to light in the hands
of the individual citizenry when he said, "Doing this I deem to
be only a simple duty on my part; and I shall perform it, unless my
rightful masters, the American people, shall withhold the requisite
means..."

Do you
know someone truly steeped in the Kool-Aid?
I mean
someone who finds it easier to believe that the far-better-educated,
far-more-suspicious-of-government Americans of a hundred years ago were
complete morons who granted authority to the state to take whatever it
wished from themselves and their posterity than to imagine that they
themselves simply misunderstand the true nature of the income tax? Even
while knowing that their beliefs about the tax are derived entirely from
the representations of those who profit from those beliefs (like tax
bureaucrats and "tax professionals")?
Do you
know someone like that? Shake them awake with the latest (sixteenth)
edition of
CtC!
If
CtC were actually
right, it would mean the government's been concealing and
denying and suppressing the truth for years
on end, and everybody knows THAT would never happen...
(Edward Snowden, come home! It was all just a bad dream; there really is
No Such Agency!)
Nothing gets done without a reason, and when something appears inexplicable,
that's often just because you haven't been sufficiently hard-nosed in your
analysis.
Btw, a copy of
CtC from anywhere except the link above may not
be a current edition. CHECK. It matters. Also, there ARE no
e-book, Kindle or .pdf versions of
CtC.
Don't get taken in by efforts to sell you-- or even give you for
free-- any such thing.
February 1- In 1814, the Mayon Volcano
in the Philippines erupts, vomiting huge volumes of ash (and "greenhouse
gasses", as well) into the atmosphere, followed a year later by another massive
eruption, from Mount Tambora in the Dutch East Indies. Between the two, these
eruptions produced "The Year Without A Summer" in 1816. In 1861, Texas becomes
the seventh of the several states to secede from the Union. In 1920, the Royal
Canadian Mounted Police begin operations. In 1942, Vidkun Quisling is appointed
Premier of Norway by the Nazi occupiers. In 1968, South Vietnamese National
Police Chief Nguyen Ngoc Loan is photographed summarily executing North Viet
Cong officer Nguyen Van Lem in an intersection in Saigon. In 1979, convicted
bank robber Patty Hearst is released from prison after her sentence is commuted
by Jimmy Carter. In 1979, the Ayatollah Khomeini returns to Tehran after 15
years in exile. In 1992, Warren Anderson, ex-CEO of Union Carbide, is declared
a fugitive from justice by India's Chief Judicial Magistrate of Bhopal for
failing to appear in proceedings concerning the Bhopal chemical plant disaster
in which a probable 16,000 people died from exposure to toxic gas. In 2003, the
space shuttle Columbia disintegrates during re-entry. In 2004, Janet Jackson
has a wardrobe malfunction.

PRO TIP: If I were the IRS and I wanted to
discourage people from rebutting allegations that
they had done things I can tax, and wanted to keep them from
successfully reclaiming withheld or paid-in money, I
would salt the "tax honesty" community with
passionate-seeming "legal researchers" who would
warn anyone whose ear they captured that filing a

Illuminating Anniversaries of this week:
February 3- In 1690, the Massachusetts colonial government
issues the American continent's first paper "money". In 1809, the Illinois
Territory is formed. In 1913, the 16th Amendment-- the most deliberately
misrepresented Constitutional amendment of all, bar none-- is declared
ratified. All the amendment did was overrule the limited effect of the Pollock
v. Farmer's Loan & Trust ruling by the Supreme Court in 1895, which had
prevented dividends and rent connected with the exercise of federal privilege
from being subject to the tax like other "income" had been for decades based on
a view the court took of their relationship of those particular gains to the
sources from which they are derived. To learn the whole story of the 16th
Amendment, click here. In
1940, Pierre Laval is installed as head of government in Vichy, France, by the
occupying Nazis. In 1959, the music dies in Iowa. In 1966, the unmanned Soviet
Luna 9 spacecraft successfully lands on the Moon. In 1969, Yasser Arafat is
appointed head of the PLO by the Palestinian National Congress. In 1971, Frank
Serpico is shot, but survives to testify about the drug-war-fueled corruption of
fellow New York City police officers.
If you're not talking this one up everywhere and
helping generate a buzz, you don't really want liberty and the
rule of law...

Illuminating Anniversaries of this week:
February 6- In 1782, South Carolina
bans paper money, after a thorough lesson in its inherent and unavoidable
evils. In 1788, Massachusetts becomes the sixth of the several states to ratify
the United States Constitution and authorize the new version of the federal
government, under the charter of which the federal government is given no
authority to emit bills of credit or other paper "money", but may only coin
money-- a limited authority in harmony with the identical prescription that the
several states may not emit bills of credit, nor make any thing but gold or
silver a tender in payment of debts. In 1815, New Jersey grants the first
American railroad charter (for a line between New Brunswick and Trenton). In
1959, the first patent is issued for an integrated circuit; and a Titan ICBM is
successfully test-fired for the first time. In 1989, the "Roundtable" talks
begin in Poland, marking the beginning of the end of communist domination of
Eastern Europe.

greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We
seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that

that ye were our countrymen."

Hendrickson is also a widely-read essayist on
matters of politics, public policy and law; many of these works
are collected in his second book, ‘Upholding
the Law And Other Observations’. He is a member of Mensa;
an
award-winning artist; and has paid his dues as a youth
soccer coach. He is a long-time political activist as well, and
has served as co-chair and platform convention delegate of
Michigan’s largest county Libertarian Party organization; as a
consultant to the National Right to Work Foundation and Citizens
for a Sound Economy; as a member of the Heartland Institute; and
as a member of the International Society for Individual
Liberty. He is a frequent radio-show guest on stations across
the country.
Hendrickson's business career has included nearly a
decade-and-a-half at the leading edge of the renewable-energy
industry, both as Director of Purchasing and Materials
Management and member of the R&D board at Starpak Energy
Systems, the mid-west's then-largest solar heating and
energy-recovery-and re-utilization company; and as founder and
president of AFJ Inc., a high-efficiency lighting design,
manufacture and installation firm.
Beginning in the mid-1990s and continuing for the
twelve years before his present full-time focus on the
restoration of the rule of law in America, Hendrickson directed
purchasing activities for the $84 million-a-year
multi-family-housing division of the Farmington Hills, Michigan
branch of Edward Rose and Sons, with responsibility for 18,000+
apartments, direct supervision of 35 technicians and agents, and
incidental authority over several hundred divisional workers.
He also ran the division's 10 cable television earth-station and
distribution systems in four states, and designed and
administered the company's website.
On rather the other end of the spectrum, amidst
these more mundane pursuits Hendrickson co-founded and was the
primary creative force behind a small
board- and
card-game company that enjoyed a modest success for several
years.
Hendrickson makes his home in southeast Michigan,
with his wife and two children. He is currently working on his
next book.
