SO, I'M SICK OF THE GLACIAL PACE at
which the individual-liberating, state-restraining
truth about the income tax is inching out into
public consciousness. I suspect that you are, too.
In order to make me feel better, I have
devised an action plan by which that pace can be
increased, with your
necessary help.
First thing this morning, I posted
several tweets to the Lost Horizons Twitter account
(https://twitter.com/LostHorizons1) by which readers
can become intrigued and guided onto the path of
knowledge. This will happen if
you LIKE and COMMENT ON
and RETWEET those
posts.
It won't happen any other way.
Over the years folks have speculated as
to why my reach on Twitter has been so
insignificant. Many have thought that the problem
was me being "shadow-banned" by a state-serving
Twitter management.
It may be that such "shadow-banning"
was in place, but really, I doubt it. The fact is,
without a lot of commenting on any given tweet, and
a lot of "like" and retweets, nothing gets much
visibility, even without Twitter personnel putting a
thumb on the scale. And I have never gotten much of
any of that.
I know that pre-Elon Musk, most folks
in this community had no interest in being on
Twitter, and in fact, many were nervous about being
there for privacy reasons. I had, then, sympathy
with those views.
But such fears and disinterest are now
inappropriate and counter-productive. You can't make
inroads into the larger community if you don't go
where the larger community is and do your speaking
there.
I want every one of you to create a
Twitter account and then go to these newly posted
tweets (listed below) and COMMENT, LIKE and RETWEET.
If every one of you does this, these
tweets will get some visibility, and will attract
some curious eyes to the information offered. That
interest will lead to a quick expansion of the
number of folks en route to becoming fellow
warriors for the truth-- that is, en route
to becoming YOUR ALLIES.
Please do this,

thoughts, this time on Russia's ban on "trans"
madness; on redemption for Disney; on
'Oppenheimer'; and a legal Easter egg to close with,
as well.
Russia stands up for truth and
sanity; American nutcases stay revealingly mum
LAST WEEK VLADIMIR PUTIN and the
Russian legislature
outlawed
throughout Russia the insane and destructive
"trans" practices afflicting America.
Interestingly, this news is getting little to no
airing on mainstream media in the US (and precious
little even on purportedly non-presstitute outlets). I have
to conclude that the reason for the silence is the
recognition that the majority of even those captured
by state media would be appreciative and respectful
of the Russian law, and therefore at risk of having
their mindless support for the US proxy war in
Ukraine eroded.
Surely, if it was believed that the
majority of those who get their "news" from NBC and
the like would find the Russian law a reason for
increased hostility toward Putin & Co., its adoption
would be trumpeted far and wide, with Joe Biden's
handlers shuffling him out for an angrily-scripted
podium-thumping denunciation of those Godfull
(rather than "Godless")
Russkies. Instead, crickets... from the chirping of
which much can be learned.
A possible path to redemption
for Disney
IT SEEMS TO ME THAT DISNEY could take a
step toward
redeeming itself and slow the hemorrhaging of good
will and revenue with which it is justly afflicted by producing a new 'Avengers' film
squarely targeting the US deep state (the CIA, FBI,
NSA, DOJ, the oligarchs that pull the strings of the
foregoing and the corrupt political, bureaucratic,
media, academic and intellectual hacks that carry
their water) as the villain to be obliterated by the
supergang. Sort of an out-of-sequence sequel, as it
were, to the best film in the Marvel catalog,
'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'.
I am confident that not only would such
an effort make Disney the kind of money its woke
garbage has been failing to generate, if boldly and
uncompromisingly done (get the 'Winter Soldier'
writers/directors in again for this one, maybe), but
it would elevate the company out of the gutter and
back up onto the sidewalks with other respectable
firms (at least for the moment, and from there,
we'll see what gets done next...).
Speaking of virtuous filmwork...
'OPPENHEIMER'. SEE THIS FILM!
It is
outstanding, with not a single moment of tedium or
dissatisfaction in the whole three hours. I won't go
so far as to say that any particular coherent
message is delivered by the movie, other than
perhaps in-so-far as the venal and casually-corrupt
character of politics is grippingly put on display
in the second of two main themes of the story. But
that lack is no deficit.
In its primary focus, 'Oppenheimer' is
a masterful recreation of a key period and key
events in recent and still very-much influential
American and world history, with which everyone
needs to be familiar. Plus, this film is a
doctorate-level course on how to write and shoot a
multi-dimensional epic story. Christopher Nolan
intricately weaves pieces of the story plucked from
various points in the overall story-arc timeline
into a dazzling and effective mosaic by which every
part of the complex tale is laid out with its
supporting context on hand at every moment.
Great filmmaking, and a great film.
My excellent son, TJ, treated me to
this one in an Imax theater (to which we had to
drive two-and-a-half hours each way), and that
format was certainly the best in which to see this
magnificent work, but I have no doubt that it will
be plenty good on any conventional commercial
screen, as well. (Don't wait for this one on Netflix
or a DVD, though-- it needs and merits a big
screen.)
A little red meat refresher for anyone
in a legal contest over an educated filing
CtC-educated filings are reasonable, and therefore
properly invoke the independent supporting evidence
requirements of 26 U.S.C. §§ 6201(d) and 7491(a).
This cannot be disputed.
After all, the "income"
allegations on third-party information returns on
which the executive relies are legally insufficient
as evidence absent the independent support called
for by those sections of the law.
Hence, absent such supporting evidence the filer's assertions in his return as to
his "wages" or "self-employment income",
for instance,
are undisputed, and
prima facie correct. His reporting of those
assertions on his return, and his self-assessment
and claims for refund made in accordance with those
assertions, are inherently reasonable.
Indeed, in
light of the totality of legally-sufficient evidence
in the relevant record described above, the targeted reports, filings and claims are
in the only form and manner that could be
reasonable.
Further, of course, the purpose of the
independent supporting evidence required by 26
U.S.C. §§ 6201(d) and 7491(a) is to prove that
payments reported on disputed information returns
(i.e., W-2s) actually fall into the category of
payments for the conduct of taxable activities, and
are not mere payments for common, unprivileged
activities which should not be so reported (but were
anyway by mistake of the third-party information
return creator on which he reports, as the court in
Daines v. Alcatel, SA, 105 F. Supp 2d, 1153
put it, merely "[tax relevant] income as that
third party believes it to be."). This distinction
to be proven is usefully illuminated by Treasury
Dept. legislative draftsman F. Morse Hubbard in his
statements read into the Congressional Record on
March 27, 1943 (p. 2580):
"The Income tax... ...is an excise
tax with respect to certain activities and
privileges which is measured by reference to the
income which they produce. The income is not the
subject of the tax; it is the basis for determining
the amount of tax".
See, too, the statutory specifications
at 26 U.S.C. § 6051 of what is to be reported on a
W-2, for instance:
(3) the total amount of wages as
defined in section 3401(a),
...
(5) the total amount of wages as
defined in section 3121(a),
...the language of which, on its face,
distinguishes the "wages" to be reported from the
broad class of all wages (else no statutory
definition would be needed or provided).
In light of all the foregoing, any
government opposition to the accurate claims of
educated filers who reasonably dispute allegations
of "income" made under the labels of
statutorily-defined "wages" or "self-employment
income" on information returns like W-2s and 1099s,
for instance-- allegations
unsupported by independent evidence as is required
under the provisions of 26 U.S.C. §§
6201(d) and 7491(a)-- is an attempt to impose an unapportioned
capitation, something expressly
prohibited by the US Constitution (at Article 1, §
9, cl. 4, and see
this collection of relevant authorities).

Not Letting This "Crisis" Go To Waste...
...an important action item opportunity.
FRIENDS, THE SPORADIC EASINGS of the despotic measures to
which most of the country has been subjected under
since the onset of the
COVID-19 hobgoblin narrative should not be
allowed to bleed off the head of steam you probably had been developing.
The offenses happened, and they're far from over. Stay hot.
And while you are all warmed up, and while others, if
they're smart, are just as hot, I'd like you to send an email (and
Facebook post, or whatever) with the following content to everyone you
can (with a request that they pass it along, in turn):
[Name], since March of 2020 you've
watched as over-fed state power has been used to literally destroy
classical Western civilization and impose a new despotic paradigm. No
dissent or debate permitted-- no permission or agreement sought.
YOU KNOW where this will end up if the arrogant
state power being used to make this happen isn't radically diminished in
size, influence, resources and popular support, and exposed as an
opportunistic exploiter of legal ignorance (an ignorance which it has
been nurturing in the average mind for decades).
Those things having not yet happened, you
should be quaking in your boots-- and you probably are.
Isn't it time-- and past time-- for you to
begin helping to make those desperately-needed defensive changes take
place? There is only one way these things can happen short of a
who-knows-what we'll-end-up-with explosion of violence. I'm going to
show it to you.
When you're done with that reading, you'll know
what to do next.
BTW, REMEMBER, ALSO, THAT EVERY AMERICAN has lately been given a stark lesson in the fact
that government officials at all levels will lie to you and violate the
law without batting an eye. They will do so any time it serves their agenda, and
you don't call them out for it.
If you know anyone who has been persisting in denial on the
truth about the income tax, you know such nonsense is usually be
grounded in some version or another of, "That can't be true..." or "They
would never do something like that...". Now's the time to put a pin in
that delusional bubble.

FOR ALL THE YEARS SINCE 2003 when
CtC was first published, the government has engaged in a
concerted effort to frighten people away from its truths. This
effort involves official government websites and press releases
touting an occasional court ruling that appears to be at odds
with some
CtC-revelation (but without details sufficient to expose the
real substance of the ruling)--
and sometimes even more mendacious behavior.
Are the presentations and
resources offered on this site and in my other work of any value to you?
Tim Kendrick has posted
a video
on YouTube regarding donations. I didn't know what to do about
it to begin with; I don't do what I do intending for anyone to
feel obligated in any way.
But of course, no one IS obligated. I will continue
to make my work freely-available here, and in my books for only
the cost of a cheap paperback.
Thus, even though I post it here below, Tim's very
thoughtful personal resolution and encouragement to others is
just an invitation for consideration by those who may not be
conscious of the fact that I can't do what I do without support.
No one is to feel any pressure from it; if it moves anyone to
act let it be solely because it seems right.
All-in-all, just be the sort of person for others
that you would go to yourself for trustworthy leadership.
Leadership is a challenge. But it's not

Are You Having Trouble Spreading The
Word?
SKEPTICISM (SOMETIMES INVOKED BY FEAR) IS TO BE
EXPECTED when you're trying to explain to someone that
everything they've been encouraged their whole lives to
believe about something as entrenched and significant as the
income tax is basically nonsense. So here's a way to help
cut through the resistance:
Ask your listener how he or she would react if
you were to show an announcement from the Commissioner of
Internal Revenue admitting that the tax doesn't apply to the
earnings of most Americans and is misapplied most of the
time because people don't understand how it works? Or how
about if you showed a ruling from the Supreme Court saying
the same?
Now you just have to explain that
you're going to show exactly those things-- but because
the state really doesn't want people to know this, these
things haven't been said quite as forthrightly as we would
all wish. It's going to take a bit more work to take these
admissions in than is sufficient for just reading a press
release. But it'll be worth the effort...
IF YOU'RE NOT SPREADING THIS LINK with every bit of
energy you can, to school libraries, homeschool
families and community groups, your neighbors, your
family members, your pastors and
co-congregationalists, journalists, lawyers, CPAs,
members of congress, tax-agency workers, Wikipedia,
Anonymous, WikiLeaks, the Tax Foundation, everyone
in the "tax honesty" movement, the 9/11 truth
movement, other activist movements and everyone
else,
you have only yourself to blame for your
troubles with the tax, and a whole lot else of which
you might complain. It's on you.

(weapon of mass instruction) far and wide.

truth and the law, come what may, knowing that it is only by setting the bar

From the moment the war in Ukraine started, Western
reporting on the war was a radical repudiation of
the truth. Washington and its NATO allies always
knew that
NATO expansion to Russia’s borders would
precipitate an armed conflict with Moscow, but
NATO’s ruling globalist class did not care. For
them, Russia in 2022 was unchanged from the weak and
incapable Russia of the late 1990s. The risk of
failure seemed low. Ergo, Russia could be bullied
into submission.
Americans and most
Europeans did not bother to question or analyze.
Widespread strategic ignorance about Russia and
Eastern Europe ensured that most Americans and even
West Europeans would react quickly and viscerally to
the Western media’s distorted images and lies about
Russia. At the same time, tolerance for criticism of
Washington’s role in fashioning the corrupt and
deceitful conduct of the Volodymyr Zelenskyy Regime
and its war
was disallowed in the press.
Washington’s ruling class
was cheered when it dismissed Russian proposals for
talks on any grounds that did not recognize NATO’s
right to transform Ukraine into a base for U.S. and
Allied Military Power aimed at Russia. Ukrainian
flags sprouted from the lush grounds of America’s
wealthier neighborhoods like flowers in an arboretum
and wonders in the form of limitless military
assistance, miracle weapons, and cash were promised
to President Zelenskyy––promises that
strategic reality did not justify.
In 2022 the Biden Administration no longer possessed
the military and economic strength to wage high-end
conventional warfare that it had in 1991. Waging a
major war 10,000 miles from home on the Eurasian
continent is impossible without the support of truly
powerful Allies on the model of the British Empire
during WWII. Washington’s NATO allies are military
dependencies, not formidable strategic partners.
Whereas Russian Military Power is still structured
for decisive operations launched from Russian soil,
U.S. Military power is geared to project limited
air, naval, and land power thousands of miles from
home to the periphery of Asia and Africa. American
military power consists of boutique forces designed
for safari in Africa and the Middle East, not
decisive combat operations against great continental
powers like Russia or China.
Eighteen months later Ukraine is in ruins. Its
latest
counteroffensive achieved nothing. In the last
three weeks, an estimated 26,000 Ukrainian soldiers
died in pointless attacks against world-class
Russian defenses ‘in depth.’ (Defenses ‘in depth’
mean a security zone of 15 -25 kilometers in front
of the main defense, that consists of at least three
defense belts twenty or more kilometers deep.)
By comparison, Russian losses were minimal.
Today, more than 100,000 Russian troops are
conducting offensive operations along the Lyman-Kupiansk
axis. These forces include 900 tanks, 555 artillery
systems and 370 multiple rocket launchers. It does
not take much imagination to anticipate the
breakthrough of these forces to the North where they
can encircle Kharkiv.
Once Russian Forces surround the city, they will
become an irresistible magnet for Ukraine’s last
reserve of 30-40,000 troops. Ukrainian Forces
attacking to the East to break through to Kharkov
will present the combination of Russian space and
terrestrial-based ISR (intelligence, surveillance,
reconnaissance) assets and Precision Strike
Aerospace, Artillery, Rocket, and Missile Systems
with a target array that only a blind man could
miss.
None of these developments should surprise anyone in
the West. Building a Ukrainian army on the fly with
a hotchpotch of hastily assembled equipment from a
multitude of NATO members and an officer corps of
many courageous, but inexperienced officers had
little chance of success even under the best of
circumstances.
“Units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are at such
terrible states of degradation that soldiers are
abandoning their posts, and whilst not mentioned in
these documents, a flood of videos have been
published from Russian sources claiming Ukrainian
service personnel are surrendering at the first
opportunity owing to the belief that they are being
treated as ‘nothing more than cannon fodder.’”
Events on the ground are beginning to
overtake the carefully orchestrated charade in
Kiev. There is little that pontificating retired
generals and armchair military analysts can do to
halt the inevitable. Moscow understands that the war
will not end without Russian offensive action.
Whatever the Washington’s original goals may have
been, they are unrealizable. Russian Forces will
soon fall on the Ukrainian forces with the momentum
and
the impact of an avalanche.
In view of these points, before all of Ukraine’s
manpower is annihilated, or a “Coalition of the
Willing” from Poland and Lithuania marches into
Western Ukraine, Washington can arrest Ukraine’s
downward spiral into total defeat, and Washington’s
own irresponsible drift into a regional war with
Russia for which Washington and its allies are not
prepared.
Cooler heads can prevail inside the beltway. The
fighting can stop, but a ceasefire, and the
diplomatic talks that must proceed from a ceasefire,
will not occur unless Washington and its Allies
acknowledge three critical points:
DOUGLAS MACGREGOR'S is always a voice of well-informed and
well-disciplined reason on the subject of the Ukraine proxy project of
the overall "Russian
hobgoblin" campaign. In the piece featured above Macgregor once
again showcases those important qualities.
There is much more that could and
perhaps should been said in the commentary, though.
Omitted, for instance, is any summary
of the complete backstory of this war, and its having been
orchestrated from at least 2014 by the US (under the
supervision of Joe Biden, in fact). See

Also left unsaid is any debunk of the
mythology that Russian forces had tried to actually
capture Kiev upon commencement of their Special
Military Operation in February of 2022 but were
incapable of doing so (rather than the fact that the
feint against Kiev was simply a ploy meant to compel
Ukraine to reposition its military assets from their
initial posture massed in preparation for the ethnic
cleansing of the Donbas-- which Russia's SMO was
launched to prevent-- and into one better suited for
Russia's "demilitarization" and "denazification"
agenda). See

In the same vein as that latter
omission, Macgregor also leaves out of his final
"critical points" that must be acknowledged in order
to see an end to the fighting is the fact that the
Donbas and Crimea (and now, since Ukraine and its
puppetmasters have persisted in keeping things
kinetic, perhaps more territory, as well) are part
of Russia, and will remain so.
All that said, we can return to
Macgregor's basic point, which is that the US's
Ukraine project is death, destruction and waste
without legitimate cause, grounded in hubris and
foolish ignorance at best, and doomed to failure of
at least its stated goals. (The possibility that
there might be other, darker, unstated goals must be
considered, under the principle that a tree should
and can only be known by its fruit.)
THAT BASIC AND INARGUABLE POINT of
Macgregor's article, that the US Ukraine project is
futile, disastrous and corrupt, leads us to a point
I routinely make in these afterwords to Other Voice
offerings: The American people must step up and take
charge of this country's course, cutting the fuel
for the engine which is chugging us along at maximum
velocity toward every iceberg in the ocean, by
exercising their authority over the disposition of
their resources, as provided for by the Founders and
as relied upon by the Founders.
Individual action making
use of
the structure and limitations of the federal
taxing power hard-wired into the Constitution,
is that provided and relied upon solution. By taking
that action each American would thereby cease
his or her enabling of the Leviathan state, and in doing
so,
present an irresistible lure
to others, even those who know or care nothing about
the perils of the rogue state and its operators, but who
don't want to relinquish wealth to anyone with which
they need not be parting.
That is, individual self-interest-- the
most powerful political force in the universe-- is
inexorably invoked by the liberating truth about the
income tax, and that invocation will yield the
beneficial outcome.
All that is needed to make it all
happen is for a big enough core group of

should be flying out from this community all the
time! Remember, people, those defending the evil
status quo are legion, and relentless. Those wanting
them defeated, and their evil scheme and its evil
progeny wiped away, need to be just as much so.
At a minimum, everyone in this
community should be diligently sharing, with
suitable exhortations and persuasions to the
recipient, the special materials I have written for this

Hendrickson is also a widely-read essayist on
matters of politics, public policy and law; many of these works

soccer coach. He is a long-time political activist as well, and
has served as co-chair and platform convention delegate of
Michigan�s largest county Libertarian Party organization; as a

Hendrickson's business career has included nearly a
decade-and-a-half at the leading edge of the renewable-energy
industry, both as Director of Purchasing and Materials
Management and member of the R&D board at Starpak Energy
Systems, the mid-west's then-largest solar heating and
energy-recovery-and re-utilization company; and as founder and
president of AFJ Inc., a high-efficiency lighting design,
manufacture and installation firm.
Beginning in the mid-1990s and continuing for the
twelve years before his present full-time focus on the
restoration of the rule of law in America, Hendrickson directed
purchasing activities for the $84 million-a-year
multi-family-housing division of the Farmington Hills, Michigan
branch of Edward Rose and Sons, with responsibility for 18,000+
apartments, direct supervision of 35 technicians and agents, and
incidental authority over several hundred divisional workers.
He also ran the division's 10 cable television earth-station and
distribution systems in four states, and designed and
administered the company's website.
On rather the other end of the spectrum, amidst
these more mundane pursuits Hendrickson co-founded and was the
primary creative force behind a small
board- and
card-game company that enjoyed a modest success for several
years.
Hendrickson makes his home in southeast Michigan,
with his wife and two children. He is currently working on his
next book.
