It's A Good Time To Share Some More Victories

...as Americans prepare to go to the polls and either retain or reject the folks who just voted to add 87,000 new IRS agents to the federal bureaucracy.

87,000 NEW MOUTHS LOCKED ON to the federal teat (and-- along with their spouses and dependents-- reliably voting from now on to do whatever it takes to keep it full of other people's money) is bad enough. But that's just an incremental increase in the mountain of compelling reasons to go to the polls, dragging all your friends along, and throw out of office every statist shill, prostitute and enabler (of any party).

Among those other compelling reasons in these current dark days are the ongoing evisceration of the American economy, the deliberate destruction of domestic tranquility, and the looming threat of nuclear annihilation, all brought on by those currently in office in Washington (and in many cases in state capital and city halls).

So, vote, people, please!

AT THE SAME TIME that you mark election day on your calendar, though, don't lose sight of the bigger picture and all the tools in the toolbox. While Americans were provided with the vote as the standard, repeating mechanism for political and policy corrections, the Founders and Framers recognized that sometimes corruption can become so pervasive (or dangers so immediate) that reliance on voting alone is inadequate to the People's needs.

Hence we have, for instance, a supposedly independent judiciary; and a supposedly adversarial press equipped with legal guarantees of unhindered speech (which extend to everyone, whether formally organized as media or just as individuals speaking truth as they see it).

Hence, we have, for instance, the decisions to allow state punishment of Americans being left in the hands of the citizenry by way of juries, Hence we have, for instance, in extremis, the Second Amendment.

And hence we have the power to very largely defund corrupt American governments, acting entirely as individuals, with no permission slip needed from any quarter. The exercise of that power involves nothing more challenging than merely declining to engage in excise-taxable activities, along with knowing what constitutes such activities and how to overcome corrupt government efforts to pretend and persuade that ALL economic activities are of the excisable sort.

Well, exercising the "excise power" does require one other thing, I guess-- the courage to do it and to stand tall doing it, even in the face of frothy efforts to discourage such extremely inconvenient behavior by the corrupt government officers whose personal gravy train, by which we are all being carried over a cliff, is thereby derailed.

ALL THAT SAID, THEN, this is a good time to celebrate another group of courageous, patriotic, grown-up American men and women. I'm talking about folks who are not just complaining about the direction the ship is going, and not just pointing at the iceberg ahead or re-arranging the deck chairs or crew-members. Instead, these good folks are down in the engine-room shutting valves and dampening the boilers, despite the captain's angry glare.

Tyler & Amizero O'Donnell

TYLER & AMIZERO SHARE THEIR LATEST VICTORY, this one with the feds for 2021:

This victory, secured by this filing, is the return of, well, it's hard to say, except to say that it is not everything owed. But this one is short in a most unusual way.

Normally, if the IRS decides to run a short refund scam, it will send out all nominal "federal income tax withheld" and hold back the FICA withholdings, despite the fact that refunding the one is an admission that the others are not owed (per 26 U.S.C. § 3503, subject to the Supreme Court ruling in Rowan Cos. v. United States-- see the NOTE at the top of page 2 in this document). The hope in such cases seems to be that the target of the scam will either not know the law, or will stand down anyway, content to be only partially robbed.

Here, however, the IRS declares itself to be omitting the nominal federal income tax withheld from the refund, and ONLY returning the FICA withholdings (while somehow making a ~$200 math error in the process). Here's how this all played out.

To begin with, Tyler & Amizero received a LTR12C in response to their filing. The LTR asked for verification of the withheld amounts listed in their return (an occasionally-deployed fraud-ish game by which the agency pretends that it has not been sent W-2s by the payer involved on which all the withheld amounts are verified, in the hope of tricking a filer into sending those forms-- which also contain erroneous "wage" allegations-- to the agency and compromising their filing).

Tyler & Amizero are not fools, though, and promptly sent this sensible response.

Five weeks later, the IRS sent this CP12 notice. On it, the IRS declares that Tyler & Amizero are owed only an $8,232.00 refund, rather than the $12,717.09 claimed. The reason given:

The form also makes a key admission (even while making an amazing, incomprehensible, and wholly erroneous assertion as to Tyler & Amizero's "taxable income" figure from line 15 of their 1040):

Then the agency follows with a false assertion as to the amount of income tax withheld as reported on line 25d of Tyler & Amizero's 1040, putting down an amount almost $400 more than the nominal income tax withheld reported on Tyler & Amizero's Form 4852 but $238.76 less than the combined FICA withholdings reported, adds a claimed credit, and ends up at the amount sent to the couple a few days earlier:

O, what a tangled web, eh? This one might end up in the 'Every Which Way But Loose' collection...

Anyway, Tyler & Amizero have fired off a sharp and well-educated response to the gibberish. We'll see what happens.

*Normally, I no longer bother to post a "victory" for which a complete name is not shared. Such a thing might be a victory in upholding the law, and monetarily, but is clearly not a victory of heart and mind-- the kind that really counts the most. The exception is made here because the refund is entirely of FICA withholdings, which illustrates an important point.

Again, On The Situation In Ukraine

Again, the madness continues, and worsens...

UKRAINE: A COUNTRY RUN BY CORRUPT PUBLIC OFFICIALS perfectly willing to act as a well-paid cash laundromat for corrupt public officials in America. See this and then this, and then this. Read it all thoroughly and carefully, following links as they appear.

Among many other things, learn from that reading that the prospect of Eastern Ukrainian regions voting overwhelmingly to be annexed by Russia is not only unremarkable, it is entirely predictable and the only realistic possibility.

Learn, too, just how much everything you have ever heard about Ukraine and Russia over especially the last several years is utter and despicable propaganda, meant to make you acquiescent, if not a participant, in atrocities.

And then see this to learn that however much Biden & Co.'s. policies toward Ukraine and Russia have enriched those sociopaths, they have been a sustained act of gross irresponsibility.

That's a problem. Seeing and following those links is REALLY IMPORTANT.

Everyone needs to wake up to the fact that what's going on in Ukraine is long in the making by the US deep state (at least since 2008, with a big ramp-up in 2014-- as will be shown at the links above-- and with considerable refinement in 2019 by way of a CIA/DOD RAND Corporation study, as entertainingly discussed here). The scheme has it's own beneficiary contingent of lunatic, side-effect-blindered boosters, is ruining the world economy (and fracturing overall world stability which otherwise might have been preserved intact or allowed to harmoniously evolve) and REALLY, REALLY, REALLY IS fraught with the peril of a nuclear holocaust.

BECAUSE OF THE VERY REAL DANGERS attendant upon continued US/NATO bellicosity, it is critically important for the American public in general to understand that contrary to the endless, routine stenographic press propaganda with which we are targeted 24/7, the United States is entirely responsible for everything going on in Ukraine. Only by coming to understand that fact can people overcome their reflexive "damn the torpedoes" reaction to what they are falsely being told would be "giving in to nuclear blackmail" or "appeasing the new Hitler" were the US to back off.

The truth is, a backdown by the US/NATO would not be a surrender or failure of will in the face of Russian aggression. It would be, instead, a rational and honest reset of a perilous situation which the US/NATO has created for the sake of its operators' own financial or hegemonic or decades-long grudge-nurturing selfish interests, the continued pursuit of which will certainly harm multitudes of Americans and many others-- and very possibly will kill us all.

We all need to do everything possible to ensure that backdown takes place and that those who have created this dire situation are never again allowed in positions of trust and honor.

Not Letting This "Crisis" Go To Waste...

...an important action item opportunity.

FRIENDS, THE SPORADIC BITS OF EASING of the despotic measures to which most of the country has been subjected under the fraudulent mantle of COVID-19 mitigation should not be allowed to bleed off the head of steam you probably had been developing. The offenses happened, and they're far from over. Stay hot.

And while you are all warmed up, and while others, if they're smart, are just as hot, I'd like you to send an email (and Facebook post, or whatever) with the following content to everyone you can (with a request that they pass it along, in turn):

[Name], since March of 2020 you've watched as over-fed state power has been used to literally destroy classical Western civilization and impose a new despotic paradigm. No dissent or debate permitted-- no permission or agreement sought.

YOU KNOW where this will end up if the arrogant state power being used to make this happen isn't radically diminished in size, influence, resources and popular support, and exposed as an opportunistic exploiter of legal ignorance (an ignorance which it has been nurturing in the average mind for decades).

Those things having not yet happened, you should be quaking in your boots-- and you probably are.

Isn't it time-- and past time-- for you to begin helping to make those desperately-needed defensive changes take place? There is only one way these things can happen short of a who-knows-what we'll-end-up-with explosion of violence. I'm going to show it to you.

Are You Having Trouble Spreading The Word?

SKEPTICISM (SOMETIMES INVOKED BY FEAR) IS TO BE EXPECTED when you're trying to explain to someone that everything they've been encouraged their whole lives to believe about something as entrenched and significant as the income tax is basically nonsense. So here's a way to help cut through the resistance:

Ask your listener how he or she would react if you were to show an announcement from the Commissioner of Internal Revenue admitting that the tax doesn't apply to the earnings of most Americans and is misapplied most of the time because people don't understand how it works? Or how about if you showed a ruling from the Supreme Court saying the same?

Now you just have to explain that you're going to show exactly those things-- but because the state really doesn't want people to know this, these things haven't been said quite as forthrightly as we would all wish. It's going to take a bit more work to take these admissions in than is sufficient for just reading a press release. But it'll be worth the effort...

Slouching Toward Endgame

Since “Joe Biden” flat-out promised last February to “bring an end to the Nord Stream pipeline” — and let’s assume he meant both NS 1 and 2 — why seek further to unravel a fake mystery? Is our apparitional “president” not a man of his word? Of course, the machinery behind “Joe Biden” so far denies any credit for the consequential act, but who in this land is unaware that the US government’s default setting these days for answering anything is to lie?

The purpose of the act was likewise simple, plain, and obvious: to foreclose any possibility of Germany negotiating a separate peace with Russia around the financial and economic sanctions imposed by the USA over the Ukraine operation. Don’t you suppose it was clear to any German with half a brain that NATO’s joining of the sanctions was nothing less than a one-way ticket to Palookaville for Euroland? That it would mean goodbye to its advanced manufacturing economy and then goodbye to a comfortable, modern standard of living?

Not many weeks ago German foreign minister Annalena Baerbock told the world that Germany would support Ukraine (and US-driven NATO policy) “no matter what German voters think.” That was all for show, you understand, to maintain the flimsy pretense that NATO had any actual stake in whatever happens in Ukraine — as the result of the dumpster fire set there by America. At the same time, that very same German foreign ministry was sneaking through back channels to feel out the Russian foreign ministry on ways Germany might get Russian natgas on the down-low, through third parties, say, Turkey, buying time until the glorious day those Nord Stream pipelines might re-open and the former normality of German economic life would resume.

“Joe Biden” slammed the door on that pretty conclusively Monday, blowing up the two pipelines, a premier act of insanity by a US government fueled at every level and in every direction by psychotic strategic thinking. For starters, consider that the Nord Stream sabotage amounts to the leading member of NATO committing an act-of-war against the rest of NATO. What else do you call depriving most of Europe of the means to make a living — or merely to stay alive?

As it happens, Germany is in no position to answer this casus belli by going to war against the USA. Germany has a Potemkin military — America has made sure of that since 1945, the last time these Teutons of northern forests went batshit crazy against Western Civ. Seems to me that either Chancellor Olaf Scholz acknowledges this deadly affront to Germany and negates further participation in the NATO Ukraine idiocy, OR, within a few months he will face a violent political uprising from his own people and his government will fall — and not necessarily within the framework of any orderly parliamentary procedure. More like mobs in the streets… chaos… government buildings torched… officials strung-up — real insurrection, not the fake kind we hear about endlessly from the American Party of Chaos.

KUNSTLER'S 'SLOUCHING TOWARD ENDGAME' is a bit long in the tooth by the standards of the day, being 16 days old already. But I went with it for this 'Other Voices' column because it packs a lot of very sound and enduringly significant thinking into its modest length; is pleasingly biting in all the right places; and has a great title.

Further, this piece is the very first thing I have ever read by Kunstler-- though already not the last. I am delighted to share this newly-found and very pleasing voice with all of you, and think it best to do so with an article I found especially compelling.

STILL, AS I SAID, 'Slouching Toward Endgame' is a bit old. Since Kunstler posted it, Ukrainian terrorists have exploded a bomb on the Kerch bridge, killing six, and the New York Times, of all voices, has revealed that US intelligence agencies believe that the Nazi usurpers in Kiev were responsible for the August murder of Darya Dugina, the daughter of a prominent Russian philosopher, in Moscow. Russia has begun responding to these mindless acts of violence-- beginning with widespread missile strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure.

What follows is anyone's guess, but US bellicosity has almost certainly pushed Russia from its limited police action providing protection and support for the independence aspirations of ethnic Russians in formerly east Ukraine to a new gloves-off demeanor. Lately I have seen Henry Kissinger's cautionary words quoted in a few places: "To be an enemy of the U.S. is dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal." The Ukrainians are about to really learn the truth of this, I'm afraid, just as are the Germans and other Europeans now facing a cold, dark winter.

IN LIGHT OF ALL THE FOREGOING, I have only this to say further: We Americans-- even those of us not in positions of power or high offices-- have a moral responsibility for what is done by Washington, both in other peoples' homes and in our own. We also have a Founder-provided means for imposing a much-needed corrective on those who do bad things in our names.

One simple act by each individual American will do the trick, and it needs no approval or agreement from any institutional authority. That one simple thing will function as a catalyst, compelling the beneficial reorganization of our whole societal and political structure as a natural and inevitable process.
