Cognitive Inoculations
Against Selected Misunderstandings, Misinformation And
Madness
...on subjects including the draining
of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, "frivolous
return penalty" fog, prison reform policies,
spin-polling, sending Mitch McConnell packing,
"domestic terrorism", immigration, and more.
AMERICA'S STRATEGIC PETROLEUM RESERVE
doesn't exist to moderate gasoline pump prices,
especially not in order to temporarily obscure rises
in prices reflecting (invariably-government-caused)
inflation until a mid-term election is safely
rigged. The Strategic Petroleum Reserve exists in
order to ensure that an immediate and secure supply
of oil is on hand with which to fuel American tanks,
mobile artillery, troop transports, fighter jets,
battleships and bombers-- and to reliably maintain
and deploy the infrastructure needed to build and
equip more of the same--
in the event of war.
The Democrats in control in Washington,
however, having grievously wounded the American
economy over the last two years (and with much more
damage waiting in the wings), have drained more than
165 million barrels from the reserve in order to
conceal increases in the price of gas caused by
their policies. This has dropped the reserve
to its lowest level since 1984.
I'm not a particularly "hawkish" guy,
but in light of the simultaneous, deliberate and
ongoing destruction of American oil-production
infrastructure, this crass political ploy by the
Democrats is singularly irresponsible, and those who
ARE "hawkish", or even just prudent, ought to be
raising the roof and proposing articles of
impeachment, right now.

"FRIVOLOUS RETURN PENALTIES" DON'T
HINGE on whether a filer is or is not an "employee",
or earned "wages", or anything of the sort. Briefly
summarized, the relevant issues (which might also be
called the "material facts") in a "Frivolous Return
Penalty" assertion/contest are three:
1. Whether the penalty is
asserted against an actual filed return (or
purported return)-- rather than, for instance, a
copy of a return sent to the agency as evidence of a
previous filing;
2. Whether a targeted
return lacks information sufficient for judging the
substantial correctness of its self-assessment (as
in missing numbers in places relevant places to the
computation of the self-assessment) or contains
information calling into question the substantial
correctness of that self-assessment (as in having
elements within it which contradict the
self-assessment computation), and, IF either of
these are true, bears evidence that such lack or
such contradiction arises from the filer's embrace
of a "position" listed on the Secretary of the
Treasury's official list of penalty-qualified
"frivolous positions" or from an intent to impede or
delay the proper administration of the tax laws; and
3. Whether the penalty has
been properly approved pursuant to 26 U.S.C. §
6751(b).
(BTW, let me make clear something
misunderstood by many folks: There is no inherent
legal relationship between a FRP assertion and the
validity of a return. FRP assertions concern a
special definition of "frivolous" meant to equip the
IRS to extract a financial penalty whether a return
is valid and the refund or other claims thereon are
correct or not. For a return to be "frivolous" in
the context of a FRP does not make it frivolous--
which, outside of the FRP context, means "without a
basis in law"-- for purposes of processing or in
regard to claims and declarations made thereon.)

"PRISON REFORM" IS A REFLECTION of a
political impulse to deny or conceal that some people are
simply sociopathic and predatory due to immersion in
a defective subculture-- acknowledgement of which
shines a harsh light on the relevant subculture; and to
deny or conceal the embarrassing failure of prior political
acts by those in power (or their fellow-travelling
predecessors) such as
those that have produced a tragic number of fatherless and
often drug-addled Americans from the ranks of whom
the predators emerge.

REPUBLICANS CAN DRAMATICALLY IMPROVE
THEIR CHANCES of a "red wave" if
their candidates uniformly tell Mitch McConnell and
his ilk to shut up and go home, while coming out in
lockstep opposition to one further dollar or word in
support of Ukraine-- a dangerous, destabilizing,
falsehood-grounded and
morally-suspect project behind which no one in
the vast majority of the American electorate stands.
Russia rescuing the ethnic Russian
populations of the Donbas from Ukrainian neo-nazis
is not our problem (if it is a problem at all). Nor
do we have any valid stake in the well-being or
security of the very belligerent beneficiaries of
the
2014 Ukrainian coup currently occupying Kiev.
Besides we have need of all our
resources here at home, and we especially need a
restoration of stability in the world. Shoveling
arms and money into Kiev just perpetuates a
wide-reaching turmoil that would have otherwise
ended months ago-- and with many fewer lives lost.

IT ISN'T RACISM to criticize or reject
a film treatment, based on an older original story,
into which "diversity" has been injected contrary to
the original content. Such criticism is not of the

"diverse" persons being suited to roles in film.
Rather, such criticism is of the contempt being shown
by the creators of the new, adulterated work for the
author or other original-work-creator whose work
they have distorted in service to their own

HAVE YOU EVER HEARD IT SAID that the
definition of government is the entity with a
monopoly on the use of force in a given area? Do you
realize that this definition does not apply in
America? No government entity has such a monopoly
here.
By virtue of the Second Amendment (and
corresponding provisions in state Constitutions),
the People, constituting militias-- whether organized
or not, and whether collectively or individually--
retain the Constitutionally-recognized authority to
use force, including against governments themselves.
See the details here.
***
WE ARE LATELY TOLD WITH GREAT PASSION
that Americans who distrust the government are the
biggest terror threat. This is said without any
evidence of any related terrorist activity. So what
can this mean?
It is simply this: Americans who
distrust the government reveal and make known to the
wider public the crimes and unauthorized,
illegitimate acts of the government. This exposure
raises a threat to the government in the form of a
general anger and possible impulse amongst the
American people at large to punish the malefactors.
It is that rising threat of punitive
remediation that is deemed terrorist by those perps,
much as members of more ordinary organized crime
might view the FBI as a terrorist threat (when that
agency is faithfully sticking to its mandate,
anyway).
I'D LIKE TO VISIT THE HOMES of all
those who snidely criticize the
very-politically-astute moves by Ron DeSantis and
Greg Abbott to transfer foreign invaders from the
states those gentlemen serve-- and where the
invaders are not wanted-- to other states whose
officials have encouraged and facilitated the
invasion (but
have avoided personal experience of its effects). These
commentators take the positions that national
borders are somehow illegitimate, and that
characterizing those who cross them into a country
of which they are not a citizen without permission
to do so as "invaders" is wrong and bad.
So, I'd like to visit the homes of
these folks. I'd set up my barbeque in their front
yards-- or maybe their living rooms; and take a nice
swim in their pools. Their pantry would become my
pantry, and anyplace at all in their houses
would be my bathroom.
After all, "borders" are a no-no,
right?
Somehow I don't think these purists will keep
singing that tune when it's THEIR borders being
violated...
I urge all these smug and hypocritical
pseudo-intellectuals to learn why immigration
control is not only legal but wise, by reading
this consideration of the issue. (And I hope
they don't miss the legal analysis of the
"birthright citizenship" fraud to which a link is
provided at the end of that immigration article...)

THE OBJECT OF ALL the Democrat effort
to stigmatize, if not criminalize, those questioning
the legitimacy of the declared outcomes of the 2020
election is simple and deeply corrupt. That object
is the discouragement of skeptical scrutiny of those
outcomes because they cannot stand up to such
scrutiny.
Any Republican who doesn't understand
and acknowledge this obvious fact is too naive or
too gutless to be worthy of his or her office.

THE US CONSTITUTION DOESN'T DELEGATE a separate power to "provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States" in
Article I, Section 8, cl. 1. Those words are
rhetoric reflecting the Framers' view that the
enumerated powers they delegate in subsequent
clauses would conduce to the common defense and
general welfare of the states, for the carrying out
of which the power to tax is the one thing delegated
in Article I, Section 8, cl. 1.
Were it otherwise, and were "providing
for the common Defence and general Welfare" a grant
of power on its own, no further enumerated powers
would be needed. And yet, there they are...
The simple fact is, delegating any
power to tax to the federal government was a very
sensitive and contentious issue. Some explanatory
words (along with the strict and hobbling limits on
that power embedded at Article 1, Section 2, cl. 3;
Section 8, cl. 1; and Section 9, cl. 4) were deemed
politically prudent in order to help secure adoption
of the replacement of the Articles of Confederation,
within which the federal government had been wholly
denied any taxing power.
BTW, THE POWER TO REGULATE COMMERCE
delegated in Article I. Section 8, cl. 4 is
expansively misrepresented in much the same way as
is the explanatory note in cl.1. That power is to
regulate commerce-- the generic manner and
mechanisms by which goods and services cross
borders-- not to regulate the nature and
characteristics and volume and minutiae of those
goods and services themselves. It is, by its
straightforward words, the power to regulate
commerce, not the power to regulate what is
in commerce.

Not Letting This "Crisis" Go To Waste...
...an important action item opportunity.
FRIENDS, THE SPORADIC BITS OF EASING of the despotic measures to
which most of the country has been subjected under
the fraudulent mantle of
COVID-19 mitigation should not be
allowed to bleed off the head of steam you probably had been developing.
The offenses happened, and they're far from over. Stay hot.
And while you are all warmed up, and while others, if
they're smart, are just as hot, I'd like you to send an email (and
Facebook post, or whatever) with the following content to everyone you
can (with a request that they pass it along, in turn):
[Name], since March of 2020 you've
watched as over-fed state power has been used to literally destroy
classical Western civilization and impose a new despotic paradigm. No
dissent or debate permitted-- no permission or agreement sought.
YOU KNOW where this will end up if the arrogant
state power being used to make this happen isn't radically diminished in
size, influence, resources and popular support, and exposed as an
opportunistic exploiter of legal ignorance (an ignorance which it has
been nurturing in the average mind for decades).
Those things having not yet happened, you
should be quaking in your boots-- and you probably are.
Isn't it time-- and past time-- for you to
begin helping to make those desperately-needed defensive changes take
place? There is only one way these things can happen short of a
who-knows-what we'll-end-up-with explosion of violence. I'm going to
show it to you.
When you're done with that reading, you'll know
what to do next.
BTW, REMEMBER, ALSO, THAT EVERY AMERICAN has lately been given a stark lesson in the fact
that government officials at all levels will lie to you and violate the
law without batting an eye. They will do so any time it serves their agenda, and
you don't call them out for it.
If you know anyone who has been persisting in denial on the
truth about the income tax, you know such nonsense is usually be
grounded in some version or another of, "That can't be true..." or "They
would never do something like that...". Now's the time to put a pin in
that delusional bubble.
As the C19 hoax has starkly shown, "that" certainly CAN be true, and they
certainly WOULD do something
like that.
Use this evidence in all your
outreach efforts.

(Deceitful efforts to discourage Americans from
learning the truth about the "income tax")
FOR ALL THE YEARS SINCE 2003 when
CtC was first published, the government has engaged in a
concerted effort to frighten people away from its truths. This
effort involves official government websites and press releases
touting an occasional court ruling that appears to be at odds
with some
CtC-revelation (but without details sufficient to expose the
real substance of the ruling)--
and sometimes even more mendacious behavior.

Are You Having Trouble Spreading The
Word?
SKEPTICISM (SOMETIMES INVOKED BY FEAR) IS TO BE
EXPECTED when you're trying to explain to someone that
everything they've been encouraged their whole lives to
believe about something as entrenched and significant as the
income tax is basically nonsense. So here's a way to help
cut through the resistance:
Ask your listener how he or she would react if
you were to show an announcement from the Commissioner of
Internal Revenue admitting that the tax doesn't apply to the
earnings of most Americans and is misapplied most of the
time because people don't understand how it works? Or how
about if you showed a ruling from the Supreme Court saying
the same?
Now you just have to explain that
you're going to show exactly those things-- but because
the state really doesn't want people to know this, these
things haven't been said quite as forthrightly as we would
all wish. It's going to take a bit more work to take these
admissions in than is sufficient for just reading a press
release. But it'll be worth the effort...

In my column last week, I reported on the mass
protests going on in Europe over their governments’
dismal, yea, catastrophic leadership regarding the
sanctions against Russia that are strangling their
economies and making life a living hell. The column
last week specifically reported on the mass protests
going on in the Czech Republic.
But the mass protests going
on in the Czech Republic are also taking place all
over Western Europe—and the mainstream media is
totally ignoring them.
Citizens across the globe
are rapidly rising up against their government’s
failed leadership and globalist policies wreaking
havoc on the economy; all the while vast amounts of
the establishment media remain silent.
Tens of thousands of people
openly reject
the globalist ethos, which has resulted in soaring
living costs and skyrocketing energy prices.
The protests are both
direct in message and scope – the globalist idiocy
must end.
In Indonesia, for example,
thousands turned out en masse in some of the
country’s biggest cities earlier this week,
demanding their “government reverse its first
subsidized fuel price increase in eight years amid
soaring inflation.”
“Protests took place in and
around the capital, Jakarta, and in the cities of
Surabaya, Makassar, Kendari, Aceh, and Yogyakarta,
among a series of demonstrations led by students and
labour groups that police say could draw big crowds
this week.”
“Thousands of police were
deployed across Jakarta, many guarding petrol
stations, fearing they could become targets of
mounting anger over a price increase that unions say
will hurt workers and the urban poor the most.”
Meanwhile in Italy,
Italians gathered in the streets of Naples to
protest against the nation’s rising energy costs.
Angry citizens were filmed
burning their energy bills while chanting phrases
such as “We don’t pay the bills!” and “Now it will
be chaos!”
“We don’t want [soaring
bills] anymore!” protestors also shouted.
Italians now face a brutal
winter after European sanctions pelted Moscow with
sanctions, one of their biggest gas importers, as
the country races towards “green energy.”
Chile also so [sic] mass
protests as citizens rejected a newly proposed,
left-wing constitution providing the government with
more control over the country’s citizenry.
Other countries like New
Zealand and Germany
[and The Netherlands and Great Britain and others]
have also experienced protests against their
governments as the uprising continues.
Sadly, in the United States the vast majority of
resistance to the burgeoning Great Reset of the
globalist elite has decided to vest all of its
energy into reelecting Donald Trump. This is a huge
mistake!

CHUCK BALDWIN TOUCHES ON several important points in this
lengthy article, and I hope everyone reads the whole thing. One of those
important points is that Americans need to get on their feet and in the
street. As Mao famously and quite correctly observed, "Political power
flows out of the barrel of a gun". There is no other kind.
We in America have long been accustomed
to a generally orderly and respectful exercise of
politics by the peaceable mechanisms of our
established institutions. But we have enjoyed that
tranquility, and the complacency it engenders, only
because for several generations no one has risen to
seriously menace the status quo-- until now.
Right now a well-organized, well-funded
cabal seeking to destroy individual liberty, free
markets, and the Constitutional chains that still
hinder the unrestrained use of state power to crush
dissent is diligently in motion. We see it in every
claim of "emergency" power, every monolithic
hymn-book chant by what was once an independent and
watchdog media, every new revelation of
western-culture-eroding indoctrination of our
children in schools, every attack on our history,
both by condemnation and by revisionism.
We see it in every act of violence
(riots, flash mobs, looting, and assaults) across
the country which are being excused, enabled and
encouraged by an institutionally-ordered stand-down
of those we have hired and paid to suppress such
violence. We see it in every push for the
centralization of more and more power in the state,
under the mantle of any of a now rapid-fire series
of
hobgoblins.
Our great country is being
systematically destabilized and drained of resolve
on behalf of its infinitely-precious founding
principles and their hard-won implementations. As
Baldwin notes, the same assault is underway
throughout the Western world.
We see all this. And yet, we naively
imagine that somehow this massive, well-organized attack
is going to fade away with the next election. It's
not.
This massive, well-organized attack is
not going to fade away until a whole lot of
liberty-and-rule-of-law-cherishing people get up and
show in no uncertain terms that they are not going
to stand for the destruction or sidelining of the
culture and principles their ancestors shed blood to
establish.
ANOTHER OF BALDWIN'S IMPORTANT POINTS
is that Donald Trump, for all his virtue in
defending the nation from a Hillary Clinton
presidency, is NOT a white knight who will make
everything right. Frankly, no one could play that
role, and no one will.
But, like Baldwin observes, the deluded
notion that Trump is America's savior has distracted
and drained energy and productive effort from too
many generally right-thinking Americans for years
now.
In fact, the obsessive focus on Donald
Trump by many Republicans is the best thing the
Democrats have going for them. Their six-year
investment in demonizing Trump-- as vile and false a
project as it was-- has long paid dividends by
hampering Republican efforts to corral cross-over
Democrats and significant numbers of independents.
Those crossovers and right-leaning
independents are there, of course, and Republicans
do get votes from some of them. But they would get
those votes based on policy alone (when they embrace
virtuous policy), not because of throwing the name
Trump into play.
On the other hand, throwing the name
Trump into play dissuades many possible cross-overs
and independents, due to that successful
demonization. In short, making Trump the focus of
Republican political ambitions has no upside, and
has definite downside, however unfair the reason.
Trump is both a dog-track rabbit to
which too many Republicans reflexively turn their
attention at the expense of more useful interests,
and an albatross around the neck of the Republican
party overall. He needs to recede into quiet and
dignified retirement.
(All that practical reasoning aside,
Trump also was no great president, having all the
flaws Baldwin recites, and more. It can be said that
much that he might have done right during his time
in office was thwarted by the "Russiagate" fraud and
the other relentless attacks on him during those four
years, and that is true enough. But as shown in
this
short list of critical opportunities foregone--
to which much could be added-- that excuse is
insufficient.)
FINALLY, BALDWIN ALSO makes good points
about the Ukraine scheme by which America-- and the
whole western world-- are being destabilized and
bankrupted, and which is being made the excuse for
much of the "Great Reset" initiatives under the
pretense of that war being responsible for
diminishing energy and agricultural capacity, among
other things. And all that with an ever-growing risk
of nuclear destruction as well.
I've addressed this issue in some
detail in the opening article to this newsletter
(and the linked articles therein), and so will leave
things there, save only to point to
an excellent recent article on this topic by Philip
Giraldi, the observations in which nicely
illustrate the deep-state-contrived character of the
Ukraine situation.
ALL-IN-ALL, the excellent points of
Chuck Baldwin's article serve to underscore the
importance of American citizen action-- of a clear
and hard-eyed variety. More broadly, those points serve to really bring home to everyone
paying attention the urgency of the American people
taking control of the overall situation here and using their
Constitutionally-hard-wired power to shrink the
Leviathan state in which the deep state thrives back down to
the
more-or-less safe and tolerable size that allowed
Americans to become the most prosperous and free
people the world has ever seen, before the
wealth thus produced began to be bled away
to fuel Leviathan's explosive and ruinous growth with the successful
implementation of
the ignorance tax scheme in the early
1940s.
One simple act by each individual
American will do the trick, and it needs no approval
or agreement from any institutional authority. That one
simple thing will function as a catalyst, compelling
the beneficial reorganization of our whole societal
and political structure as a natural and inevitable
process.
You can see a learn all about this
solution in

share it.

EVEN AS ARDENT A STATIST as Abraham
Lincoln, in announcing his willingness to burn the Southern states to the ground in order to
keep them paying the tariff for the benefit of Northern interests in
his first inaugural address on March 4, 1861, paid at least lip
service to the Founders design of leaving control over the fuel
available to feed the fires Washington wants to light in the hands
of the individual citizenry when he said, "Doing this I deem to
be only a simple duty on my part; and I shall perform it, unless my
rightful masters, the American people, shall withhold the requisite
means..."

Are You Ready For More Power?
"Peter Hendrickson has done it again! 'Upholding The
Law' does for individual liberties what 'Cracking the Code' did
for tax law compliance: exposes the reader to the unalienable

Do you
know someone truly steeped in the Kool-Aid?
I mean
someone who finds it easier to believe that the far-better-educated,
far-more-suspicious-of-government Americans of a hundred years ago were
complete morons who granted authority to the state to take whatever it
wished from themselves and their posterity than to imagine that they
themselves simply misunderstand the true nature of the income tax? Even
while knowing that their beliefs about the tax are derived entirely from
the representations of those who profit from those beliefs (like tax
bureaucrats and "tax professionals")?
Do you
know someone like that? Shake them awake with the latest (sixteenth)
edition of
CtC!
If
CtC were actually
right, it would mean the government's been concealing and
denying and suppressing the truth for years
on end, and everybody knows THAT would never happen...
(Edward Snowden, come home! It was all just a bad dream; there really is
No Such Agency!)
Btw, a copy of
CtC from anywhere except the link above may not
be a current edition. CHECK. It matters. Also, there ARE no
e-book, Kindle or .pdf versions of
CtC.
Don't get taken in by efforts to sell you-- or even give you for
free-- any such thing.
September 20- In 1633, Galileo Galilei
is tried before the Inquisition for teaching the disfavored truth that the Earth
orbits around the Sun. In 1891, the first gasoline-powered car hits the road in
America. In 1990, South Ossetia declares its independence from Georgia. In
2001, George W. Bush declares a "War on Terror". In 2011, the "Don't ask, don't
tell" policy in the US military ends, allowing openly gay men and women to
serve.

PRO TIP: If I were the IRS and I wanted to
discourage people from rebutting allegations that
they had done things I can tax, and wanted to keep them from
successfully reclaiming withheld or paid-in money, I
would salt the "tax honesty" community with
passionate-seeming "legal researchers" who would
warn anyone whose ear they captured that filing a
1040 is a bad idea for one reason or another...
If you're not talking this one up everywhere and
helping generate a buzz, you don't really want liberty and the
rule of law...

In light of
the actual evidence, those
who doubt or
deny the accuracy and correctness of
CtC just because some government officials
denounce it are like the 16th-century Europeans who
were mystified by
Copernicus getting all those
astronomical predictions right even though the
church had said he was wrong.

Did you miss the 'Set Your Church Free'

Ignorance of the true nature of the "income" tax
has gagged, gutted and seduced-into-disgrace America's
ministerial community. This must change.

September 23- In 1338, the first naval battle
involving artillery (ship-mounted cannon) took place. In 1779, the
naval squadron led by John Paul Jones wins the Battle of Flamborough
Head off the coast of Yorkshire, England against two British warships.
In 1780, British spy John Andre is captured by American forces,
revealing Benedict Arnold's treachery. In 1806, Lewis and Clark make it
back to St. Louis. In 1889, Nintendo is founded.

"It is not the function of our Government to keep

-United States Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson
September 24- In 1869, "Black Friday" occurred-- a collapse
of gold prices back to normal, after having been temporarily bid up 30% or
so by speculators who had been buying the metal up in the (mistaken) belief
that the federal government intended to redeem "greenbacks" (fiat money
issued by the Lincoln administration during the War Between the States) with
real money. In 1979, CompuServe introduces "e-mail". In 2014, India
successfully inserts an exploratory spacecraft into orbit around Mars.

Last Word
"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude
greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We
seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that
feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you; and may posterity forget
that ye were our countrymen."
-Samuel
Adams, Architect of the first American Revolution

Hendrickson is also a widely-read essayist on
matters of politics, public policy and law; many of these works
are collected in his second book, Upholding
the Law And Other Observations. He is a member of Mensa;
an
award-winning artist; and has paid his dues as a youth
soccer coach. He is a long-time political activist as well, and
has served as co-chair and platform convention delegate of
Michigans largest county Libertarian Party organization; as a
consultant to the National Right to Work Foundation and Citizens
for a Sound Economy; as a member of the Heartland Institute; and
as a member of the International Society for Individual
Liberty. He is a frequent radio-show guest on stations across
the country.
Hendrickson's business career has included nearly a
decade-and-a-half at the leading edge of the renewable-energy
industry, both as Director of Purchasing and Materials
Management and member of the R&D board at Starpak Energy
Systems, the mid-west's then-largest solar heating and
energy-recovery-and re-utilization company; and as founder and
president of AFJ Inc., a high-efficiency lighting design,
manufacture and installation firm.
Beginning in the mid-1990s and continuing for the
twelve years before his present full-time focus on the
restoration of the rule of law in America, Hendrickson directed
purchasing activities for the $84 million-a-year
multi-family-housing division of the Farmington Hills, Michigan
branch of Edward Rose and Sons, with responsibility for 18,000+
apartments, direct supervision of 35 technicians and agents, and
incidental authority over several hundred divisional workers.
He also ran the division's 10 cable television earth-station and
distribution systems in four states, and designed and
administered the company's website.
On rather the other end of the spectrum, amidst
these more mundane pursuits Hendrickson co-founded and was the
primary creative force behind a small
board- and
card-game company that enjoyed a modest success for several
years.
Hendrickson makes his home in southeast Michigan,
with his wife and two children. He is currently working on his
next book.
