Continuing with my Twentieth Anniversary celebration, I
offer:
October 2- In 1835, freedom-loving
Texans begin their war for independence from Mexico. In 1950, "Peanuts" is
first published. In 1959, 'The Twilight Zone' airs its first episode. In 1998,
historians take note that it is the 160th 2nd of October since Iran initiated
military aggression against anyone. In 2002, the "Beltway Sniper" attacks
begin. In 2018, journalist Jamal Khashoggi is last seen alive, entering the
Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
Anniversaries of interest for
each day of this week will be found throughout the newsletter
below.
Please don't just
read what I post here (or anywhere), and nod your head sagely or
approvingly and then move on to other things. I don't post in order
to affirm your sense of things. I post in order to equip you with
perspectives and arguments with which to
educate others, and in the
expectation that you will forward my posts to other people (or

BTW, join me on The Shields Report
the first Saturday of every month at 5PM EDT!!
...as I make available to all what had
previously been restricted-access specialized legal
resources.
CONTINUING MY
TWENTY-YEAR ANNIVERSARY POLICY of maximizing
free and easy access by the public to the resources
within, and in support of, 'Cracking the Code-
The Fascinating Truth About Taxation In America',
and the citizen-empowering,
Leviathan-state-restraining liberation therefrom, I
have now removed access restrictions on legal
resources posted on LHC which are focused on
tax-related litigations and other legal proceedings
(as well as a number of issues particular to
business owners).
It is my view that more good folks
being able to readily learn from and deploy these
resources means more virtuous energy, creativity and
confidence can and will blossom in hearts and minds
dedicated to
the right rule of law. At the same time, that
virtuous energy, creativity and confidence will be
all the more effectively and vigorously brought to
bear in courtrooms and public discourse.
Hence, all previously restricted-access
links throughout the LHC Site
Map are now freely available for viewing by any
interested person.
IN ORDER TO OPTIMIZE THE BENEFITS of
these newly available resources, I
have prepared a few observations which some might
find helpful.
Understand that the following is
specifically geared toward the sort of contests
typical in tax disputes, although other legal
proceedings, such as those involving juries, are
essentially the same in principal. Also understand
that though I have now had a fair amount of
experience in courtrooms and in writing briefs, I am
not a card-carrying lawyer. Further, what follows is
in no way meant to be an even remotely comprehensive
education on legal practices.
Nonetheless, it was my experience that
a few simple but not obvious things which are
common-- and fundamental-- to legal proceedings of
all kinds really need to be grasped by any litigant
from the get-go in order to establish a reasonably
fair playing field. I will sketch out two in broad
strokes here, concerning the purpose of a trial or
hearing, and the purpose of briefing; more will be
found within the newly-accessible resources.
AS A STARTING POINT, it is important to
recognize that litigation against the government,
whether as a plaintiff, petitioner or defendant, is
the process by which courts (that is, judges) get educated on the law.
Thus, for a CtC-educated person to prosecute a tax
issue is an exercise in civic virtue.
The education is delivered through a
litigant's selection of facts to prove in trial, and
by briefs which explain the relevant law and how it
relates to the facts shown.
Trials-- or hearings-- are the
proceedings by which
facts are established. By facts is not
meant "legal facts", as in, "Smith did not receive
statutorily-defined "wages"". Rather, the facts that
can and should be established at a hearing or trial
are those which might be the
predicates of the conclusion that Smith did not
receive statutorily-defined "wages", once the
relevant law has been subsequently applied to those
facts, such as, "Smith worked exclusively for a
private-sector business, doing exclusively
private-sector things."
The relevant law is presented
and applied in a briefing of the court after facts
have been established.
You've all heard the term "brief", as
in, "He filed a brief with the court", or, "Here is
a brief in support of this motion". As much as the
term has seemingly acquired specialized and obscure
meaning due to its deployment in legal contests (and
the general dearth of legal education afforded to
Americans in the joke that has passed as "education" in
our schools over the last several decades), it still
means in a legal contest just what it does when used
anywhere-- it is a conveyance of information from
one with the knowledge to one without it.
That is, a "brief" is the means by
which a litigant instructs the presiding judge(s) on
the law relevant to a case. The only manner
in which a brief in a legal context has any
specialized meaning, it is in that it also instructs as to how the
law applies in a case in light of the relevant facts
which have been, or will be, established in a hearing or trial.
As suggested above, this function of a
brief provides a very good reason for going to
court, regardless of the outcome. It is by educated
briefs that honest but ignorant judges learn very
important things (and far and away, most are
completely ignorant of the actual legal nature of
the income tax). It is also by educated briefs that
dishonest judges discover that any evasions or
corruption to which they may be
inclined are an open book to more and
more Americans, and not as safe an option as they
may have once thought.
ANOTHER VERY GOOD reason for going to
court is, of course, that doing so is the only means
by which one's valid claims and rights can be
secured.
That securing is not guaranteed at any
particular level in the administrative of judicial
systems, of course, or even at all, in some cases
and at this time. As Upton Sinclair wisely observed,
"It is difficult to get a man to understand
something, when his salary depends on his not
understanding it."
But as I wisely observed to my kids
when they first began playing soccer, you can't
score if you don't shoot. And the times, they are
achangin'.
When beneficial change has been
consummated, it will be those who timely prosecuted
their claims who will have protected their
interests.
"Like a muddied stream or a polluted
fountain is the righteous man who gives way before
the wicked."
-Proverbs 25:26
"I am only one, but I
am one. I cannot
do everything, but I can do
something. What I
can do, I should
do and, with the help of God, I
will do."
-Everett Hale
"Power concedes nothing without a
demand. It never did and it never will. Find out
just what any people will quietly submit to and you
have the exact measure of the injustice and wrong
which will be imposed on them, and these will
continue till they have been resisted with either
words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants
are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they
suppress."
-Frederick Douglass
"Be
the change you want to see in the world."
-Mohandas Gandhi

...concerning "cancel culture" crimes;
Gavin Newsom's admission that embracing "trans"
nonsense is a losing political move; and several
observations from last week's Republican "debate".
IT IS REPORTED THAT "EVENTBRITE" recently removed a posting
concerning an event featuring Chloe Cole. Cole is a victim of "trans
gender" promoters, having suffered irreversible chemical and
surgical mutilations at their hands. She has since awakened to the
gaslighting and manipulations by which her youth and naivete were
exploited and abused to secure her submission to these horrors, and
now speaks at events intended to spare other children from falling
victim in the same way.
"Eventbrite" absurdly explains its
removal of Cole's event notice from its platform
with the claim that the event violates its policy
against "hateful, dangerous or violent content and
events"-- an expression of a standard that, if
honestly applied as it is being interpreted in this
case, would compel the cancelation of all political,
ideological or policy-oriented events of any kind.
After all, there is no such event which
is not inherently "hateful" in the eyes of those on
the other side of whatever issue or viewpoint (or
simple information) informs it. Any Leftist rally of
any kind, for instance, is informed by criticism of,
and opposition to, some conservative persons or
positions-- often pretty viciously expressed
criticism and opposition-- and is also tainted by
connotations of violence, such as the murderous
expressions of criticism by which a lot of burning
and looting went on during the summer of 2020.
STILL, FAIRNESS AND HONESTY in the
application of alleged policies by "Eventbrite" is
not the point here, not least because I know that no
matter how well I argued my case on that issue, my
words would fall on deaf ears. What IS the point is
that Chloe Cole absolutely MUST sue "Eventbrite" for
discrimination under the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
This crap has to stop, and what I am
offering is a remedy which has a good chance of
stopping it in the courts. In any event, the
argument will be a powerful and important
clarity-bringer and consciousness-raiser simply due
to being aired and discussed.

GAVIN NEWSOM
made the news last week for vetoing a bill which
would have required family court judges to take
"gender affirmation" by custody-seeking parents into
account, as in, presumptively favoring the custody
request of a "gender delusion-affirming" parent over
one grounded in sanity and the best interests of the
child.
Newsom plainly took this unexpected
step in the knowledge that the vast majority of the
American electorate opposes the "trans" nonsense,
and he is trying to keep himself viable for a
Democratic presidential run when Joe Biden's
hopeless campaign collapses.
This move, and the politics it
reflects, indicates that it would be not only a
good but also a winning thing for red-state
governments to quickly enact laws going in exactly
the opposite direction: In custody disputes, family courts should be
required to presumptively favor the parent
rejecting, and seeking to protect
their child from, "trans"
delusions, where
that subject is, or can be made, an issue in the
contest.

DURING FOX NEWS' SHAMEFUL PRETENSE of a
primary debate last Wednesday, which was much more a
platform for the "moderators" to do some soapboxing
of their own than a forum for the candidates (see
a good commentary by Glenn Greenwald here),
Vivek Ramaswamy, speaking in the context of the mass
invasion of America by illegal aliens encouraged by
the Biden administration during its tenure, made a
virtuous declaration of his view that so-called
"birthright citizenship" should be eliminated.
Ramaswamy is correct about what should
happen, but not exactly about why and how, as a
legal matter, nor about to whom such a measure or
policy change should and would apply. To learn what
Ramaswamy gets wrong, and about what is right in
this regard,
see
(and share) this deep drill-down on the subject,
which will warm the cockles of any true
conservative's heart.
**
BY THE WAY, Ramaswamy also made the
good point that Republicans should not hesitate to
use Tik-Tok to reach its very large, mostly young
army of subscribers. Of course they should, just as
they use the deeply-leftist-controlled YouTube and
Facebook to reach voters.
This suggestion prompted a typical
screechy interruption by the always blood-thirsty,
presumably arms-merchant-funded harridan Nikki Haley
about how terrible it is that Tik-Tok can
(theoretically) collect all kinds of data on its
American users and turn it over to the neocon
hobgoblin Chinese Communist Party. Haley (always
superficial and usually ill-informed) missed the
point and also missed a great opportunity to make a
very good point (as did Ramaswamy, although who
knows? He may have gotten there if having been given
a chance to continue speaking...).
The answer to any perceived problem of
a social media platform collecting (and misusing)
data on subscribers is to make that data
collection-- and/or retention-- illegal. For ALL
online platforms.
There is no valid need or justification
for the collection or retention of nearly any user data by any
online company. If the company provides
advertising-paid services (like YouTube and Google,
for instance, and maybe Tik-Tok, too?), no data of
any kind is needed or justified in connection with
those services, any more than it has ever been
needed or justified in order to send, receive, or
monetize broadcast TV signals.
If a company relies on subscription
payments in its business model, the only data
required are log-in credentials, evidence that the account
is paid up, and an ID for the device by which
service is accessed (to thwart account sharing). Even the identity of the account holder
is not necessary for the successful delivery of
service and collection of revenue.
The "enhanced user experience" often
cited as the benefit to the consumer by which all
the spying is justified can-- if desired at all-- be
achieved through software on the user's interface
devices. No one needs YouTube to keep track of what
videos you have watched, or your search history, in
order to provide the convenience of such information
in your future use of the service. With appropriate
software your phone or tablet or TV can keep and
deploy such records at your command (and for your
eyes only).
IT'S A SHAME that none of the
Republican candidates on stage Wednesday night
thought to (or were left uniterrupted to possibly)
go down this path at the time. But this policy
position is a big slab of red-meat sitting on the
table for one or more of them to snatch up and run
with.
Concerns about online privacy are HUGE
across all segments of the American electorate,
notwithstanding idiotic attempts by privacy-violator
propagandists to attempt to claim otherwise, or to
claim that the milk is already spilled; too late,
too bad.
We DO have a lot of ground lost, in
that a ton of private, personal information has been
vacuumed up by these online actors for a long time
now. But stopping the collection of such data for
the future would still be a step forward, and the
careful reader will have noted that I include
"retention" in my prohibition. Every business or
agency or NGO or whatever that has already collected
data can be obligated by law to delete it all, under
the harshest of penalties for non-compliance.
Going forward, any online actor could
be permitted the latitude to openly and
informatively request a user's permission to collect
and retain specified data-- a strict "opt-in" model,
as opposed to the current opaque-as-possible opt-out
system (which even then only applies to certain
selected categories of data...). A user's refusal to
surrender his or her privacy could not be used as a
pretext for refusing to provide services, although
service-providers would be free to raise (or impose)
prices accordingly.
I really hope I get the chance to see
how this reform would sort out the cyberverse.
**
FINALLY, AND STILL ON THE SUBJECT of
the debate and the Republican primary field, it is
way past time for everyone but Trump and DeSantis to
drop out. None of the other candidates has a prayer
(and thank goodness, in almost every case), while
persisting in the vain pretense to the contrary
simply ensures Trump's victory.
Indeed the persistence of these
hopeless candidates is so much and so obviously to
Trump's benefit that one has to wonder if they are
being paid or otherwise encouraged to hang in there
simply to thwart DeSantis, either by Trump cultists
or by Democrat and deep-state operators who
understand that Trump would be the far easier
Republican candidate to beat than would DeSantis.
If you doubt that last statement, take
a moment and consider the landscape if the general
contest were between DeSantis and [whoever the
Democrats put on the ballot], with Trump out of the
picture entirely. EVERY TRUMP SUPPORTER would vote
for DeSantis, bar none, and many, many independents
(and more than a few Democrats) would, too. DeSantis
has no substantive black marks in his record or his
character-- on the contrary, he is plainly a good,
decent, articulate, well-educated, well-tuned and
alert, clean and sober man, with an impressive
record of solid accomplishments driven straight and
far down the prosperity and liberty fairway. He's
even a veteran, for what that's worth.
Faced with whoever is chosen to shill
for four more years of the current Democrat
disaster, at the end of a general campaign stretch
down to the election, after all the good and bad
that could or would be said and shown about whoever
the Democrats run and his or her policies, and all
the good and the bad that could or would be said and
shown about Ron DeSantis, DeSantis would win in a
landslide.
Trump, on the other hand, is damaged
goods. He might still get the votes of every one of
his current crop of supporters, but would get few
others. Trump's record, which includes massive
fiscal irresponsibility; not only failing to "drain
the swamp" but actually stocking it with new
monsters like Christopher Wray, Mike Pompeo, John
Bolton, Gina Haspel, William Barr, and on and on;
COVID panic-mongering and setting up the
vaccine-fiasco; arming the Nazis in Ukraine; seizing
Julian Assange; and so much more, hangs too heavy
around his neck.
There are differences between the
dissatisfactions to be harbored in regard to the
Biden administration and its policies, and those of
the Trump administration, but there are
dissatisfactions aplenty to be harbored in regard to
both.
Further, Trump is tarred, rightly or
wrongly, with the perception in many eyes of being
dishonest, crude, rude, ill-educated and less than
cerebral, imprudently bellicose, incapable of
personally vetting candidates for appointments or
wisely selecting whose opinion to trust in such
matters, a big talker but not a real walker, an
ego-driven narcissist, and naive and helpless
against the deep state, among much else.
Right now polls show whatever they do,
including some showing squeaker wins for Trump in a
match up with Biden. But the attack ads against
Trump, for which MUCH fuel has been laid down in the
cultivation of those perceptions listed above, and
in Trump's record, as noted, have not yet begun.
That pot has been left on simmer for a long time;
just wait until the heat gets turned up.
The attacks won't sway Trump supporters
in the Republican party, of course, but those
supporters are not enough. Even if EVERY Republican
went for Trump that would still be only 30% of the
electorate. To have a real chance to win, a
candidate MUST get independent voters.
And let's remember, Joe Biden will not be the
Democrat candidate. Trump's record and character
will be put up against a much more viable and
photogenic candidate, who will carry with him or
her-- rightly or wrongly-- the prospect of being different from, and better than, Joe Biden. That
candidate might not get Biden-disaffected
independent votes in his or her favor, but neither
will Donald Trump get their votes-- or any Democrat
votes-- in opposition to that candidate, leaving the
outcome dicey at best.
Ron DeSantis WILL get those votes, for
all the reasons already given. And also because just as
Trump has been over-exposed to his detriment, DeSantis, so far, has been under-exposed, at his
expense. Once he is the nominee, DeSantis will be
seen by everyone, to his advantage.
Every Republican candidate needs to
clear the field for Ron DeSantis. Donald Trump
included.

Not Letting This "Crisis" Go To Waste...
...an important action item opportunity.
FRIENDS, THE SPORADIC EASINGS of the despotic measures to
which most of the country has been subjected under
since the onset of the
COVID-19 hobgoblin narrative should not be
allowed to bleed off the head of steam you probably had been developing.
The offenses happened, and they're far from over. Stay hot.
And while you are all warmed up, and while others, if
they're smart, are just as hot, I'd like you to send an email (and
Facebook post, or whatever) with the following content to everyone you
can (with a request that they pass it along, in turn):
[Name], since March of 2020 you've
watched as over-fed state power has been used to literally destroy
classical Western civilization and impose a new despotic paradigm. No
dissent or debate permitted-- no permission or agreement sought.
YOU KNOW where this will end up if the arrogant
state power being used to make this happen isn't radically diminished in
size, influence, resources and popular support, and exposed as an
opportunistic exploiter of legal ignorance (an ignorance which it has
been nurturing in the average mind for decades).
Those things having not yet happened, you
should be quaking in your boots-- and you probably are.
Isn't it time-- and past time-- for you to
begin helping to make those desperately-needed defensive changes take
place? There is only one way these things can happen short of a
who-knows-what we'll-end-up-with explosion of violence. I'm going to
show it to you.
When you're done with that reading, you'll know
what to do next.
BTW, REMEMBER, ALSO, THAT EVERY AMERICAN has lately been given a stark lesson in the fact
that government officials at all levels will lie to you and violate the
law without batting an eye. They will do so any time it serves their agenda, and
you don't call them out for it.
If you know anyone who has been persisting in denial on the
truth about the income tax, you know such nonsense is usually be
grounded in some version or another of, "That can't be true..." or "They
would never do something like that...". Now's the time to put a pin in
that delusional bubble.
As the C19 hoax has starkly shown, "that" certainly CAN be true, and they
certainly WOULD do something
like that.
Use this evidence in all your
outreach efforts.
"It is not the function of our Government to keep the
citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to
keep the Government from falling into error."
-United States Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson
(Deceitful efforts to discourage Americans from
learning the truth about the "income tax")
FOR ALL THE YEARS SINCE 2003 when
CtC was first published, the government has engaged in a
concerted effort to frighten people away from its truths. This
effort involves official government websites and press releases
touting an occasional court ruling that appears to be at odds
with some
CtC-revelation (but without details sufficient to expose the
real substance of the ruling)--
and sometimes even more mendacious behavior.
Are the presentations and
resources offered on this site and in my other work of any value to you?
Tim Kendrick has posted
a video
on YouTube regarding donations. I didn't know what to do about
it to begin with; I don't do what I do intending for anyone to
feel obligated in any way.
But of course, no one IS obligated. I will continue
to make my work freely-available here, and in my books for only
the cost of a cheap paperback.
Thus, even though I post it here below, Tim's very
thoughtful personal resolution and encouragement to others is
just an invitation for consideration by those who may not be
conscious of the fact that I can't do what I do without support.
No one is to feel any pressure from it; if it moves anyone to
act let it be solely because it seems right.
All-in-all, just be the sort of person for others
that you would go to yourself for trustworthy leadership.
Leadership is a challenge. But it's not
complicated, and you can do it.

Are You Having Trouble Spreading The
Word?
SKEPTICISM (SOMETIMES INVOKED BY FEAR) IS TO BE
EXPECTED when you're trying to explain to someone that
everything they've been encouraged their whole lives to
believe about something as entrenched and significant as the
income tax is basically nonsense. So here's a way to help
cut through the resistance:
Ask your listener how he or she would react if
you were to show an announcement from the Commissioner of
Internal Revenue admitting that the tax doesn't apply to the
earnings of most Americans and is misapplied most of the
time because people don't understand how it works? Or how
about if you showed a ruling from the Supreme Court saying
the same?
Now you just have to explain that
you're going to show exactly those things-- but because
the state really doesn't want people to know this, these
things haven't been said quite as forthrightly as we would
all wish. It's going to take a bit more work to take these
admissions in than is sufficient for just reading a press
release. But it'll be worth the effort...
IF YOU'RE NOT SPREADING THIS LINK with every bit of
energy you can, to school libraries, homeschool
families and community groups, your neighbors, your

co-congregationalists, journalists, lawyers, CPAs,
members of congress, tax-agency workers, Wikipedia,
Anonymous, WikiLeaks, the Tax Foundation, everyone
in the "tax honesty" movement, the 9/11 truth
movement, other activist movements and everyone
else,
you have only yourself to blame for your
troubles with the tax, and a whole lot else of which
you might complain. It's on you.

at the top and enforcing it, come what may, that liberties are secured.

“Our government has not

The new science of
blobology informs us that political blobs blow up
like dying stars gorging on runaway fusion. The blob
expands beyond the viable limits of its internal
contradictions and implodes in a spectacular vacuum
of absurdity. The Washington DC blob’s dire
pulsations lately signal that it’s about to blow its
toxic endoplasm all over our nation’s capital,
drowning many denizens in deadly slime.
Did you catch Attorney
General Merrick Garland’s performance Wednesday
before the House Judiciary Committee? The absurdity
ran pretty rank in the chamber as the AG artfully
evaded explaining how it is he doesn’t know a darn
thing about the consequential cases in process at
his DOJ — and if he did happen to know, he wouldn’t
be able to say because… reasons.
For instance, the strange
inability of one US attorney David Weiss to generate
charges after five whole years of investigation in
the sundry matters involving the president’s son,
Hunter Biden, until the statute of limitations on
tax evasion dribbled away. And then, after
concocting a booby trapped plea deal on a Mickey
Mouse gun rap that blew up under a judge’s scrutiny,
the selfsame Mr. Weiss is appointed Special Counsel
(i.e. prosecutor) over those very cases. Say, whu…?
Not to mention that it’s against the regulations to
appoint anyone special counsel from within the DOJ.
Well, you see, Mr. Weiss is
a splendid fellow, Mr. Garland explained. When asked
if he could give a working definition of
professional incompetence, the AG affected to be
stumped. In the course of all this play-acting, Mr.
Garland maybe perjured himself several times, and he
seemed painfully aware of his own possible looming
legal difficulties.
One suspects through all
this mummery and confabulation that Merrick Garland
is not actually in charge of the US DOJ. Then who
is? My guess would be the ultra low profile Deputy
AG Lisa Monaco, a mitochondria of the DC blob, one
of its energy cells. Ms. Monaco was up to her
eyeballs in the Obama regime’s prep work for the
Russia Collusion Hoax of 2016, and since her
appointment as DAG in April, 2021, is a behind the
scenes architect of the new American police state.
The Washington Post pretends that she doesn’t exist.
One also wonders when a House committee will become
interested in deposing her, especially on the
subject of her involvement with J-6 prosecutions.
THIS KUNSTLER PIECE is worth posting just for the opening
quote. It's always too easy to lose sight of the fact that what appear
to the rest of us as flaws and failings of Leviathan are not bugs
in the eyes of its creators and operators. Instead, to them, these
injustices and impositions on the rest of us are features.
I also chose this Kunstler piece for
its optimistic conclusion, for despite all the
inducements to be otherwise for anyone with an ear
to the ground and an understanding of history and
human nature, I am inherently an optimist myself.
That is, while I fear that the process might be
nerve-wrackingly prolonged, and will be marked by
much darkness before the dawn, I am sure that dawn
will come.
However, that coming of the dawn is not
an "organic" proposition. Warding off, or pulling
back, the darkness will require effort and courage
and persistence. As Mohammed reportedly advised,
"Trust in Allah, but tie your camel."
As in so many areas, we here in America
benefit hugely in the battle against the Blob due to
the wisdom and clear-eyed foresight of the Founders.
They prepared for us the means of defending
ourselves and of prevailing, if we can find the
stones to defy the propagandists and consent
engineers and gaslighters striving to suppress all
challenges to the Blob's legitimacy and supremacy.
All that is required is individual action making
use of
the structure and limitations of the federal
taxing power hard-wired into the Constitution,
which will
defund and shrink back down to tolerable proportions
the threatening and ruinous Blob better known as the
Leviathan state. Through
embrace of this solution, each American can not only cease
his or her enabling of the monster,
but can also
present an irresistible lure
to others,, even those who know or care nothing about
our current circumstances and looming perils, but who
don't want to relinquish to anyone wealth with which
they legally need not be parting.
That is, individual self-interest-- the
most powerful political force in the universe-- is
inexorably invoked by the liberating truth about the
income tax, and that invocation will yield the
beneficial outcome.
All that is needed to make it all
happen is for a big enough core group of
consciousness-raised Americans to act and be vocal.
YOU can help make that happen.

Further, independent commentaries, comments to
these newsletter articles, and especially videos
should be flying out from this community all the
time! Remember, people, those defending the evil
status quo are legion, and relentless. Those wanting
them defeated, and their evil scheme and its evil
progeny wiped away, need to be just as much so.
At a minimum, everyone in this
community should be diligently sharing, with
suitable exhortations and persuasions to the
recipient, the special materials I have written for this
purpose. For instance, clicking on the image of Dorothy and Glinda, below, will yield a short .pdf by which
anyone not welded to a government teat will quickly
be inspired and equipped to lend their strength to
climbing out of our suicidal dive, if shared around

EVEN AS ARDENT A STATIST as Abraham
Lincoln, in announcing his willingness to burn the Southern states to the ground in order to
keep them paying the tariff for the benefit of Northern interests in
his first inaugural address on March 4, 1861, paid at least lip
service to the Founders design of leaving control over the fuel
available to feed the fires Washington wants to light in the hands
of the individual citizenry when he said, "Doing this I deem to
be only a simple duty on my part; and I shall perform it, unless my
rightful masters, the American people, shall withhold the requisite
means..."

Are You Ready For More Power?
"Peter Hendrickson has done it again! 'Upholding The
Law' does for individual liberties what 'Cracking the Code' did
for tax law compliance: exposes the reader to the unalienable
truth!"
-Jesse Herron, Bill Of Rights Press, Fort Collins, Colorado
Do you
know someone truly steeped in the Kool-Aid?
I mean
someone who finds it easier to believe that the far-better-educated,
far-more-suspicious-of-government Americans of a hundred years ago were
complete morons who granted authority to the state to take whatever it
wished from themselves and their posterity than to imagine that they
themselves simply misunderstand the true nature of the income tax? Even
while knowing that their beliefs about the tax are derived entirely from
the representations of those who profit from those beliefs (like tax
bureaucrats and "tax professionals")?
Do you
know someone like that? Shake them awake with the latest (sixteenth)
edition of
CtC!
If
CtC were actually
right, it would mean the government's been concealing and
denying and suppressing the truth for years
on end, and everybody knows THAT would never happen...
(Edward Snowden, come home! It was all just a bad dream; there really is
No Such Agency!)
Btw, a copy of
CtC from anywhere except the link above may not
be a current edition. CHECK. It matters. Also, there ARE no
e-book, Kindle or .pdf versions of
CtC.
Don't get taken in by efforts to sell you-- or even give you for
free-- any such thing.
October 3- In 1849, Edgar Allen Poe is
found in a gutter in Baltimore, an apparent victim of "cooping" (being drugged
into incoherence and then taken from polling place to polling place and made to
repeatedly vote as instructed). He dies four days later. In 1863, the fourth
Thursday of November is officially specified as Thanksgiving Day by Abraham
Lincoln. In 1908, 'Pravda' is founded. In 1932, Iraq gains its independence
from Britain. In 1981, the hunger strike by PIRA and INLA prisoners at the Maze
prison in Northern Ireland ends after seven months and ten deaths. In 1990,
Eastern and Western Germany are reunited. In 2008, George W. Bush signs the
first $700 billion "bailout" bill, starting an ongoing process of looting the
American people under the amazingly bold pretext that these further offenses
will somehow ameliorate the effects of previous governmental abuse of the
American financial and monetary structures.

PRO TIP: If I were the IRS and I wanted to
discourage people from rebutting allegations that
they had done things I can tax, and wanted to keep them from

would salt the "tax honesty" community with

October 5- In 1143, Portugal is recognized as an independent
kingdom by the Spanish throne. In 1910, the Portuguese citizenry overthrow the
monarchy and declare a republic. In 1970, PBS begins broadcasting. In 1986,
Mordechai Vanunu's revelations about
the secret Israeli nuclear
weapons program are published in Britain's Sunday Times. In 2001, the first
victim of the post-9/11
anthrax attacks dies.

helping generate a buzz, you don't really want liberty and the
rule of law...

October 8- In 1871, fires break out in
Chicago (The Great Chicago Fire) and Peshtigo, Wisconsin, on the west edge of
Lake Michigan. On the opposite side of the lake, conflagrations begin in
Holland and Manistee, Michigan, and Port Huron, Michigan, on the eastern edge of
the state (along with much of the rest of the "thumb"). About four square miles
of Chicago is destroyed-- the other locations are consumed entirely. All were
quickly re-built by citizens unhindered by FEMA. In 1974, the Franklin National
Bank-- 20th largest bank in the country-- collapses due to fraud and
mismanagement. This is the largest U.S. bank failure in history to that time.
In 2001, George Bush announces the creation of the "Department of Homeland

that ye were our countrymen."

Hendrickson is also a widely-read essayist on
matters of politics, public policy and law; many of these works
are collected in his second book, Upholding
the Law And Other Observations. He is a member of Mensa;
an
award-winning artist; and has paid his dues as a youth
soccer coach. He is a long-time political activist as well, and
has served as co-chair and platform convention delegate of
Michigans largest county Libertarian Party organization; as a
consultant to the National Right to Work Foundation and Citizens
for a Sound Economy; as a member of the Heartland Institute; and
as a member of the International Society for Individual
Liberty. He is a frequent radio-show guest on stations across
the country.
Hendrickson's business career has included nearly a
decade-and-a-half at the leading edge of the renewable-energy
industry, both as Director of Purchasing and Materials
Management and member of the R&D board at Starpak Energy
Systems, the mid-west's then-largest solar heating and
energy-recovery-and re-utilization company; and as founder and
president of AFJ Inc., a high-efficiency lighting design,
manufacture and installation firm.
Beginning in the mid-1990s and continuing for the
twelve years before his present full-time focus on the
restoration of the rule of law in America, Hendrickson directed
purchasing activities for the $84 million-a-year
multi-family-housing division of the Farmington Hills, Michigan
branch of Edward Rose and Sons, with responsibility for 18,000+
apartments, direct supervision of 35 technicians and agents, and
incidental authority over several hundred divisional workers.
He also ran the division's 10 cable television earth-station and
distribution systems in four states, and designed and
administered the company's website.
On rather the other end of the spectrum, amidst
these more mundane pursuits Hendrickson co-founded and was the
primary creative force behind a small
board- and
card-game company that enjoyed a modest success for several
years.
Hendrickson makes his home in southeast Michigan,
with his wife and two children. He is currently working on his
next book.
